aargh think i'm getting cystitis. anyone know if it's ok to take antibiotics while you're doing stims? will talk to my clinic about it too, but i really don't want to have to cancel this round before we've even started because of an infection.....

Thanks @magnoliasinbloom just got home, egg collection is weird isnt it! One minute all my limbs are being hoisted in different directions while I chat to the anesthatist about my job, then I'm waking up in the ward (I'm sure I had a little relief cry in the middle lol). So we have one egg from the two folicles. Compared to this time last week when we thought we'd have no eggs this is amazing. Keeping everything crossed for it overnight! X

Can I join in please. I have 11 year old twins conceived with clomid. Ttc #3 for about 2 years now. All bloods normal, DH semen analysis normal. Had a polyp removed from uterus 6 months ago followed by a normal hsg examination. I wanted to try a few non medicated cycles after polyp removal to see if it would make a difference.

Have my letrozole in my handbag ready to start on next cycle. Going to be on 2.5mg letrozole from day 2-5. Will attend clinic on day 12 apparently for scan +/- a trigger shot. Can’t wait to just get started now. Currently 12ish dpo on non medicated cycle. BFN this am on frer.

Have to say finding the whole TTC exp exhausting this time round, everyone around me seems to be falling pregnant at the drop of a hat! Really hoping we will have some look with the letrozole. If you’d have asked me two years ago if I wanted another set of twins I would have said no way, at this stage I’d gladly take another set!

Just had a good cry on the train. After last week being given the wrong instructions by the nurse and a plethora of other fuck ups I turned up today for a blood test to check my thyroid pre (fingers crossed) embryo transfer next week. Appointment to discuss results Wednesday morning.

Of course after taking my ticket and waiting for an hour it transpires no one had bothered to actually put the form through so I couldn't do the blood test. Waited another 45 minutes to get one and nothing so I left.

With travel that's 4 hours I've wasted.

I'm so frustrated. And hormonal.

Why are they SO SHIT at EVERY step.

@Wackadoodle84 Welcome!! Good luck with the Letrozole, hopefully it does the trick for you similar to the Clomid 11 years ago. I was pretty disappointed when the Clomid didn't work for me, but I figure I must have some other issues preventing me from getting pregnant, hopefully it can be corrected through IVF for me.

I'm currently 7DPO on my first non-medicated cycle after Clomid and I have barely given this cycle a 2nd thought... so this is me 'being relaxed' and 'forgetting about it'... so if I get pregnant I'll be secretly annoyed (but obviously massively overjoyed) that this is what it took haha!

@Sofasogood1 oh no, what a total sh**show. I'm so sorry, what a waste of your time. Really hope they apologise and you're able to get your blood tests done.

I had my first scan yesterday - 4 follicles looking like they might be decent sized, 2 lagging behind. So fingers crossed they'll keep progressing well and I might be looking at egg collection Monday or Wednesday next week. Hoping for Monday because that will best preserve my chances for getting a duostim cycle in before I go on holiday on 1 May....my OH will be so livid if we can't go!!!

A bit like @sofasogood1 I’m coming up for a natural FET. Went for a scan and to sign consents today, had a ton of follicles (35 🙃) but no lead follicle, which is what I need. Back in on Monday to see if any of them want to take the lead so I can do a FET. I have to start doing OPKs in the next couple of days, they probably won’t work lol, but let’s see what happens.

Feeling a bit weird about it. It’s crept up on me after the holiday and I weigh more than I’d like right now, more than ever before, so it’s not ideal but it is what it is. Going to be healthy eating as much as I can.

I've just read a few of the updates and @beckyCarlos fingers crossed for your egg, I hope things go well. I had my EC last September and I know how nerve wracking it is.

So I've now started downregulating with buserelin in prep for my first FET transfer. I have my scan on day 14 next week and then depending on the outcome of that, I will start progynova.

Had to covid test with them yesterday and praying that comes back negative.

@Kay00 exciting news about your IVF funding. It will all start to happen fairly quickly now x

Disappointing scan this morning. After ten days of estrogen max dose my lining isn't good enough measuring at 5.5mm. going back tomorrow for another scan and if no change they'll likely cancel this frozen cycle. Could try another medication but might not work either... Don't know what my options would be after that.

@Sofasogood1 oh no, I’m sorry to hear about your scan. what cycle day is it for you? Have you got any idea what your lining is like without oestrogen? One of the girls on another thread found it didn’t make much difference.

I asked to do unmedicated because the thought of additional oestrogen was awful. It gives me migraines and thrush, want to avoid taking it if I can. I had a lining of something like 5.9mm (or near to that, can’t quite recall) yesterday on day 12. I’m back in on Monday for another scan and hoping for a lead follicle to appear.

Are you doing another round of egg collection @thislittlebird?

My lining was about the same after stims so the estrogen doesn't seem to have made much difference if any. No migraines thank goodness but have felt quite wobbly.

If I had ten in the freezer I might ask them to chuck it in and see but we only have two average embryos so feel we need to give it the best shot.

Not had thrush but my fanny has felt a bit unhappy so I bought some fanny probiotics off Amazon.

@Sofasogood1 no, this is my first FET. It’s yours too, right? Because we did collection around the same time

Unhappy fannies all round 😂😭. I can’t stand oestrogen, it makes me feel like shit so I’m trying a ‘natural’ FET and hoping my body plays ball.

@thislittlebird Correct! My first FET too but I clearly don't understand everything! Why do you need a lead follicle? Natural cycle thing?

@Sofasogood1 Afaik it’s because they need me to ovulate and they’re not sure I will on a natural cycle so have to monitor me for the lead follicle. Then once I have one I have to test for ovulation with OPKs, which is unpredictable for me so we’ll see how that goes. Once I get a positive test they’ll do a transfer a week later, I think that’s the case anyway. Who knows what will happen in reality, me and OPKs don’t get along well 😬

Had a call from my hospital - rather than go in tomorrow for a scan they're going to push me to Monday to see if the estrogen does anything more over the weekend.

@Sofasogood1 I’m also in on Monday at 9.45am! We can update each other on our difficult bodies! What’s the process for the medicated FET cycle?

Well by Monday I'll have been on estrogen for nearly two weeks (three in the mouth and two up the chuff a day plus patches) and Arovi injections (blood thinner).

If my lining had been good enough today I'd have started Lubion (progesterone).

I also took some azithromycin the other day (antibiotic). I don't really understand why!

I then think other meds anyone would take? Cyclogest etc.

My egg collection is booked in for Monday morning too, so let's hope that it's an auspicious day!!!

Only 3 follicles likely to be big enough so all fingers crossed that the lower stims mean they are decent quality... otherwise we'll be throwing everything at it for the duostim phase...!

All these fuck ups sound so frustrating @Sofasogood1!!! It's stressful enough without clinics messing it up

I'm CD17 and pretty sure letrozole hasn't worked at 2.5mg. I have bloods on weds but feel I will know what they'll say!

Hey everyone :) glad to hear you're all ok (if not still rightly irritated by your clinics!) sorry I've been so quiet, I went into a bit of a mad state where I didnt want to jinx anything 🙈

Against all the odds...I've just come out of embryo transfer!! The consultant said we had a 'very good blastocyst' 🥰 its on board and I'm now sat in a mcdonalds drive through queue waiting for my fries! We didnt find out if it'd made it until 9.30 this morning so its all a bit of a whirlwind, but seeing the embryo in the dish, and seeing it 'pop' in to my uterus through the catheter was amazing, and very emotional.
