@magnoliasinbloom I definitely struggle now without a date or a stress to fixate on. Need to rewire my brain!

I have tested... ladies... its positive 😊😭 Im stunned and happy and stunned and now worrying already about the next scan 🤣

@99pctpractice that's so frustrating but as you said, you are a little relieved and so at least you know now how your body is reacting and it can be tweaked for the next round. Definitely take some time out to regroup.

@thislittlebird oh no! At least you have remembered now and hopefully it will be enough time to work it's magic.

So I had my scan this morning. My lining isn't thick enough yet so have to up my oestrogen (great) and I'm back in on Tuesday.

@beckyCarlos incredible. Huge congratulations. I know you'll be worried and thinking there are steps still to go but you're on the ladder now!!!

@magnoliasinbloom yeah, I’m trying not to worry now taking it but hard to not think of all the ways it’s potentially messed up!

@Tillybabs what’s your lining now? I won’t pretend I fully understand medicated cycles, what does the oestrogen do? I’m glad I remembered the progesterone but my brain was occupied with bloody Covid avoidance and the FET set up.

@99pctpractice I’m glad you’re relieved, fingers crossed for a nice break and a better outcome in June if you decide to go ahead.

@beckyCarlos That's not too long to wait! I'm fine, just as I was before, heading off to acupuncture now. it's funny because I was thinking something similar. I feel fine, but I have 10 days (is this short? do people normally wait longer post FET?) to just like...fret/wonder/avoid thinking about it?

@beckyCarlos huge congratulations! Wonderful news! Not long until 5th May!! And yes it seems to have flown by and test day came quickly! When did you have your transfer again?

I'm feeling ok physically but DP and I are stressing each other out this week. He's so kind and caring 99% of the time but when I really need it it's like a block comes and he changes?! I don't know if it's because in reality there's nothing he can do and he mentally really struggles with it? So yeah feeling a bit down and stressed and not very well supported tbh.

@Sofasogood1 I’m no different just don’t really no what to do with myself or not do, because no one told me lol. Meanwhile you’ve had all the instructions. Has your dh still got Covid? I’m having to do everything for mine because of it.

@thislittlebird no thank goodness, and yet I still seem to do everything...

And I'm sure you're fine! As long as you're not wresting or paragliding!

@Sofasogood1 sounds annoying, why isn’t he helping? Dh is usually good, just Covid getting in the way. I’m hoping he will be negative tomorrow. I’m going to do the washing, don’t think that counts as paragliding. 🙃

@99pctpractice A little break can't be a bad thing. Sounds as though you know what protocol will work for you and you can come back to it fully refreshed

I'm back from my Spa break I did all the things I won't be able to do once the IVF process has began... drink alcohol, eat shellfish, enjoy the hot tub, Sauna and Steam Room 😌 I'm ready to start behaving myself now hehe.

@Kay00 so glad you had a good time at the spa - last night I had a couple of glasses of nice red wine and it felt good not to be restricting myself.

@Sofasogood1 sorry you're not feeling supported : I know the exact feeling, my oh is great in so many ways but can sometimes just not really think about how he could do things instead of playing ps5....

@thislittlebird so sorry they screwed up the progesterone!! Hopefully you caught it in time and it won't impact your transfer. And also hopefully your oh recovers from covid soon so you can stop waiting on him!!

@Tillybabs fingers crossed your lining thickens up nicely over the weekend!!

I'm feeling ok. A bit more pissed off with my clinic than I was yesterday. I just can't help but feel like they basically knew that if we did ec on Monday it would be too late, but they didn't want to do it on the weekend. They didn't suggest cancelling the last cycle and I only had 3 big follicles then too. Plus my first ec was on a bank holiday so they must have had a different approach then..... I would, however, still rather cancel it than have (and pay for) another unsuccessful cycle, as this way I should just have to pay for the two scans I have (plus the meds, oof). I think we'd go to a different clinic if we did another cycle and that is probably for the best. I'm not sure that the consultant and the embryologists had that joined up an approach and I'd probably focus on that more in looking at another clinic. Or maybe we'll draw the line here and save the money for something more fun :o)

I didn't actually ask where my lining was at 🤦🏽‍♀️ I was so engrossed in asking about my adeno that it didn't cross my mind

@Kay00 the spa sounds great! I was thinking about spas, then was thinking how we have the week of June 6th off. I said to DH today, if we get a negative test, I’m booking a holiday abroad that week. Seems only fair. We were going to go to Cornwall but we can go there any time.

@99pctpractice he hasn’t tested yet but he’s started doing some of the decorating we need to finish today, which is something. Can you keep the meds for next time? Or are you thinking of moving clinic so can’t do that for the next attempt?

I had a bit of a wobble today. Found out a friend I thought was single is 20 weeks pregnant. I’m very tired of being the 1 in 7 or 1 in 8, whatever it is.

@Tillybabs wishing your lining good luck for tomorrow! I think quality important too not just thickness.

@thislittlebird sorry for your wobble. What's the stat? Seems unfair doesn't it. I was that person once who got pregnant without thinking - 3 pregnancies, one termination aged 18 and two miscarriages with different partners.

Period pains today and just went for a wee and had some brown stuff on the loo roll. Only a tiny bit but presume blood. 6dp transfer. I've never had spotting before but assuming I'm out and the only thing holding a proper bleed back is progesterone. I'm on cycle day 31 and I usually bleed on 25, so... Ugh I feel so shit.

I have been taking provera and due to book a hsg x ray when my period arrives probably tomorrow. Can anyone advise what to expect from it? The fertility nurse made it sound quite unpleasant and painful!!

@Sofasogood1 don't lose hope yet, it could be implantation bleeding? Wouldn't it be too early for AF?

@Alexis7890 everyone is different but my HSG was fine, I wasn't in any pain

@Sofasogood1 yeah, very unfair. I feel gutted that I have a group of friends who are 7 couples and me and dh are the 1/7, they’ve all had kids now :/

I wouldn’t take that as a bad sign necessarily. Implantation bleeding happens around that time, fingers crossed that’s what it is. When is AF due? Mine would be due Thursday, but I know progesterone will likely hold it off, lower doses have done in the past.

@Alexis7890 can’t remember if I said welcome previously, but if I didn’t then welcome! I think it’s similar to a hycosy and though that was uncomfortable it was worse than in my head than in real life. Take some paracetamol beforehand.

@Tillybabs it’s really shit. Think she might be my only ‘childless’ friend of a similar age and I didn’t know she was in a relationship now, so was a little shocked to see she’s 20 weeks. It’s tiring when it’s never your turn.

Thank you @Tillybabs and @thislittlebird we are still in the fairly early stages and hopefully after this x ray we can start letrozole. So my husband has a much lower % of normal sperm than they wanted but was above average in everything else and I don’t ovulate or have periods naturally but they seem positive that with medication we can get there so we have everything crossed!!
