DH was keen for the first but the second is less keen to go back to the sleepless nights and tbh so am I 😂
We just keep saying to each other about what our home will look like in 5 years… do we envisage 1 kid at the table with us or 2. That vision is what convinces my H as the thought of a baby is terrifying.

@PrettyPolly92 I mean this kindly, are you an anxious person by nature?
I overthought everything massively with DD, I thought I’d struggle to conceive because of PCO and “gut” feeling but it just turned out to be a big worry about nothing. It might be worth being kind to yourself about this. Stick to your target, but he has agreed to TTC so trust that and cross the rest later. It wouldn’t be fair to keep dragging it out so I’d have words if/ when that happens.

Hope that helps a little, I completely understand where you’re at x

Nypie · 22/03/2022 13:49

@dearhummingbirds @WingingIt09 @PrettyPolly92 update from me. 13 DPO period was due yesterday still dont know whats going on BFN spotting again today still feel sick and back ache. I'm gonna to give OH my clear blue test and hes not allowed to give it back to me until friday.

@HippeePrincess its been about 7 months since I've come off the pill best decision ever though.. I think its caused me to gain weight. I hit "normal" 28 day cycles within 4 months, 5th month cycle went mad due to stress and 6th month...is this month and thats been a lol.

@PrettyPolly92 sorry your feeling low! This whole process is a headfuck I think we might be twins. My partner is not as ready as I am I know that and in the past he has really made me worry one time he said he'd idealy wait for 3 years. I almost packed my bags but with time hes gotten better and during the latest scare he's been lovely. Does he know your deadline? Also please dont say your worried about your age if your born in 92 otherwise we're both fudged!

FourOclock · 22/03/2022 13:51

With the first, I eventually got fed up of him saying 'we will just not yet' and I said I need a proper discussion about this and when etc. The conversation was him saying 'i just don't know if I'm ready....oh fuck it lets just see what happens and what will be will be' 😂

dearhummingbirds · 22/03/2022 14:20

@PrettyPolly92 tbh, that sounds like both me and my partner Grin We discussed it last year as we hit 30/31, and mentioned maybe we’d think about trying around May. But then I started a new job, but I also just felt like May was much too soon. I bet I will feel the same again in July, with August the next month we’ve suggested we’ll start trying. Something else will pop up we can use an excuse. We both want children and don’t want to put it off too long as we’d like two before 35 if possible. And I also have it in my head that we’re going to struggle to conceive - no idea why other than the fact that we’ve been together 10 years and never had any ‘scares’. I think the commitment and financial side of things is scaring us, and as we have no parents nearby to help support.

BlueberryMacaron · 22/03/2022 14:53

I've been the one with colder feet, DH would have started trying months ago, and I've been the one with all the reasons not to. But now with a date I'm so broody, and now I'm the one worried he'll say that now's not a good time!

Nypie · 22/03/2022 16:24

I think my cold feet will come about 2 months before the baby is born thats when I'll be doubting every decision made!

Dreamingof3 · 22/03/2022 19:26

Our first was unplanned (right at the start of our relationship 🤣) so no time for cold feet. Second we were both quite chilled about until I got a positive test and then I was freaking out about having another!

This one I'm not sure....partner has said for ages he'd like a third, and I just wasn't sure. Then all of a sudden it became a real need for me. Now the time is getting closer though I worry about the financial side of things, whether 3 will just be a mightmare logistically, but mostly whether I'm a good enough mum 😒
To top it off I asked dp if he'd be upset if I changed my mind and he said not particularly 🤦‍♀️

OCM19 · 22/03/2022 22:26

Hi all, just catching up after a rough few weeks of Covid and catching up with work.

@TheOnlyException1 I read you post about being nervous about telling work. I’m an Employment Law & HR consultant so please do ask if you have any questions about entitlements/leave etc.

I am quite confused about my OPK’s. I’m currently CD14 and don’t really know when I ovulate as the digitals didn’t work last month. I’ve missed a day due to being away but may not have ovulated yet, but the second one looks darker than the recent tests! I will keep testing and hope for a positive!

WingingIt09 · 23/03/2022 06:54

@OCM19 sorry to hear you've been unwell with covid!

I wonder whether you've maybe missed your peak on day 10 as that's your strongest and then it gets lighter? Although day 10 would be quite early, how long are your cycles usually? I have to test twice a day to try and catch my peak as it surges so quickly. Equally might not have happened yet definitely keep testing x

OCM19 · 23/03/2022 07:20

@WingingIt09 thank you, I hope you’re feeling better too?!

Hmm maybe, I missed it last month because the digital ones didn’t pick it up. I may just stop testing this month and see what happens. It’s quite stressful and it wouldn’t necessarily change when we DTD.

How is everyone else doing?

TheOnlyException1 · 23/03/2022 07:57

Hey all, hope everyone is doing okay and those with COVID are bouncing back okay!

@OCM19 that's very kind, thank you! I will bear that in mind ☺️

I totally feel you @dearhummingbirds, DH and I have also been together 10 years with no scares, and I have been a bit paranoid for years that I'm not going to be able to conceive, I think it's maybe it's a fairly common worry though!

Currently 8dpo/due AF in 7 days, and no symptoms really, a couple of very emotional moments over silly things (but that is very normal PMS for me!) but trying not to stress out.. so hard not to over analyse everything in your body.. I have had a few days of a very unsettled stomach, but I may have just eaten something that didn't agree with me!

WingingIt09 · 23/03/2022 08:04

@OCM19 the cold symptoms are going, although I have a banging headache today. Still testing strongly positive on LFT on day 5, was hoping to be negative by Saturday as I have tickets to go to the theatre but not looking likely :( yes, if testing too stressful you could definitely stop, if you DTD regularly through the cycle then then you should catch ovulation x

OP posts:
OCM19 · 23/03/2022 09:26

That’s good news @WingingIt09 hope your headache goes soon.

So I tested again this morning and it’s slightly darker so who knows! I will test again tonight and over the next few days as my first cycle I ovulated on CD17 so could still be waiting this cycle x

Dreamingof3 · 23/03/2022 11:02

@ocm19 it's hard to pin point it when you start and have no idea where abouts in your cycle you ovulate!

@wingingit09 mine seems to stay high for a while...I started worrying that it means something isn't right?!

WingingIt09 · 23/03/2022 12:18

@Dreamingof3 I think both rapid and gradual surges are normal? You just have one or the other and mine seems to be rapid based on last month. No idea though!

Bear486 · 23/03/2022 13:28

Hey guys,

So I'm a bit unsure what to do! My last and first period after implant removal was 20th - 25th Feb. Entering that date onto my Flo app it calculated I should have been due on around the 20th March. I've still had no sign of any period! It's telling me that unless my period arrives today to pregnancy test tomorrow.

I dont know if I haven't come on due to the fact my cycles are potentially still not fully settled into a regular routine, or something else.? Do I take a test in the next few days or wait.?

Dreamingof3 · 23/03/2022 14:41

@Bear486 it could well be your cycle settling after the implant, however no harm in testing just to be sure 😀

Nypie · 23/03/2022 17:24

Ah the witch got me good today! Feeling suprisingly okay about it something weird was going on that cycle but all in the past. I will focus on my health and being a good cheerleader to you girls🤸🏾‍♀️

Some of your TTC dates are coming up soon! How're you feeling??

lj2022 · 23/03/2022 18:53

@Bear486 my friend came off the mini pill and never got AF for 3 months it just takes some people bodies a little longer to regulate. They say if nothing after 3-6 months go to the Dr as they can help induce a period. Don't worry it's completely normal some people just take a while to regulate

LucyLoopyLu · 23/03/2022 18:54

@nypie hope you're ok!

Feeling a bit nervous about TTC now it's actually more real... although my app is saying I will likely ovulate next Thurs which is the first day of our holiday- if so will definitely be missing that fertile window as we are travelling all day that day, getting up at 2.30 for the airport etc so no chance of a quickie 😄
Not sure how accurate that will be though as my cycles are not regular

lj2022 · 23/03/2022 19:47

@LucyLoopyLu oh hope you're going somewhere lovely! Remember you don't need to have sex the day of ovulation the days leading up are just as effective! Are you tracking or just using an app?

LucyLoopyLu · 23/03/2022 19:56

@lj2022 - I can't see it happening in the days leading up to our hol either to be honest, busy and I'm away with work.
Tbf I'm not too bothered about getting pg first cycle as we have another holiday booked with family at the end of April so would be a shame not to be able to drink for that!
I'm not using anything except tracking my period and EWCM in an app.
If I do 3/4 months no joy I might start using OPKs but I usually only get EWCM one or two days a month so should be fairly obvious when my fertile time is even though I have irregular(ish) cycles - they range between 28-32 days although have had a couple of outliers in the past year - one 26 and one 35 - but I think those are down to covid jab and taking prenatal vitamins respectively, rather than anything to worry about

Nypie · 23/03/2022 20:35

@LucyLoopyLu aw thank you I was good until I went on facebook 😂😂 now feeling somewhat sorry for myself. But our date is September and the bub will be worth the wait.
Loving your relaxed attitude. Try to stay as stress free as possible! Enjoy your hol DTD as soon as posible. Enjoy the process. You've got this!

Brightonbelle87 · 23/03/2022 20:43

Sorry to hear you're tired and feeling nauseous @FourOclock and @Worryant, but it's a good sign in that you're both definitely pregnant! So exciting.

Some AFs arriving too, mine is due in about a week but not going to do the clear blue 6 days early test because it'll just piss me off! And they're really expensive?! Also no signs yet - feel like a right weirdo actually wanting my boobs to hurt! Confused

@OCM19 Hope you feel better this week and can start to get back to normal. Seems like everyone is getting it atm

My DH was a bit nervous about trying too, but we started last year and we're still trying. So the lesson I learnt was even when you're ready you may have to wait! I'm 35 now and I have epilepsy and so every few months any pregnancy risks getting that little bit more complicated. Obviously you both need to be on board though, don't want another bridgerton event! Poor Regé...Blush

Worryant · 23/03/2022 20:55

Thanks @Brightonbelle87 - I actually had a bit of a worrying day. I had a bleed this morning so had to go to EPU. They scanned me and saw a heartbeat which is great but my anxiety has increased a lot.

Have been thinking of everyone managing Covid/unwanted AF/waiting to try - feels like all parts of this process are a worry sometimes! Hope it’s your month soon, I don’t know much about epilepsy, I’m really sorry but anything that adds a complication must make it stressful. X
