Anyone here TTC after Ectopic surgery or with one Fallopian tube due to medical reasons that want to support each other? Or if anyone has any successful stories conceiving with one tube welcome to bring positivity to the post x

Hi everyone, sorry to hear everyone's troubles but good to hear some positives.

I have hydrosalphinx in 1 tube and I am due to have the tube removed on Monday.. worried sick that there could also be damage in the 2nd tube but I will cross that bridge when we come to it! Very nervous for the surgery so if anyone has any words of wisdom it would be much appreciated Smile

HoneyLemon29 · 19/02/2022 17:26

@s154 sorry you're having to go through this. Will they be checking on your second tube during surgery? X

s154 · 20/02/2022 09:32

@HoneyLemon29 yes they will be checking it's working, i will probably consent to removing both if I have to but really hoping it doesn't come to that!

JaffavsCookie · 20/02/2022 09:38

Had an ovary and fallopian tube removed at 21 due to a large growth on the ovary.
Took me a little while to get pregnant with my first at 28, but i was getting very stressy about it and assuming the other one wouldn’t work.
I ended up having 4 boys in 8 years, and they have turned into fabulous adults. Good luck.

Hey ladies, I just done a pregnancy test and its positive!! First I done a cheap one and I could see a faint line then realised I had a first response at home and it is also positive. I can't believe it. I went to a concert last night and got pretty drunk. I had done a test yesterday and it was as negative as it can be therefore decided to drink. I feel pretty awful. I don't want to get my hopes up at all until I hear that it is a healthy pregnancy.

The lovely ladies who have had pregnancies after the ectopics - how soon can a scan confirm a healthy pregnancy? From my calculations, I think i am around 3-4 weeks.

I know every single one you are going to get your positives. I feel it! This group has been magic. @myrainbowjourney @HoneyLemon29
Sorry if I forgot to tag you but know every single one of you will be in my thoughts. xxxxxx

HoneyLemon29 · 20/02/2022 12:29

@NewtoTTC87 huge congratulations to you 💜
I'm currently on CD12 and I'll keep the thread updated on whether my LH strips turn positive. Hopefully in the next couple of days 🤞
Pregnancy scan be seen when your HCG is over 1500. If I was you I would contact my EPAU or doctor and ask for blood draws. Then they should do them every other day to make sure HCG is going in the right direction x

HoneyLemon29 · 20/02/2022 12:31

@NewtoTTC87 they should be able to pick up a heartbeat at about 6 weeks but earlier scans might just show the sack. Or the sack and egg yolk and fetal pole. That way they can at least confirm bab is in the right place x

HoneyLemon29 · 20/02/2022 12:32

@s154 I have my fingers crossed for you that surgery goes well tomorrow, if there's any questions about recovery afterwards feel free to ask ☺️ x

HoneyLemon29 · 20/02/2022 12:34

@JaffavsCookie thank you for posting 🙂 gives us some more hope 💜

NewtoTTC87 · 20/02/2022 12:43

@HoneyLemon29 thank you so so much xx
I work in a hospital anyway so will pop into them tomorrow. I have also emailed my GP just in case they need to email over a referral. I just need to know that it is in the right place. Not sure how I'm going to get any sleep tonight...
Fingers crossed for you. Yes, please keep us updated. I'll be thinking of you xxx

@s154 good luck with your surgery tomorrow. Let us know how you get on xxx

myrainbowjourney · 20/02/2022 14:08

@NewtoTTC87 absolutely amazing!!! Huge congratulations to you. I'm so thrilled.

My EPU says they would see me at 7 weeks, so I imagine it'll be similar, but as you work there I would definitely push to be seen maybe at 6 weeks. I think 7 is just because they know they'll see more.

Please keep us updated!

@HoneyLemon29 hope you get your positive OPK soon

@s154 good luck tomorrow. We are here if you need to chat

Hopefully @NewtoTTC87's news is the first of many xx

Mortifiedwoman · 20/02/2022 14:11

@NewtoTTC87 congratulations!

Should ovulate today but no pains at all like I normally get. Feel like I haven’t ovulated which is odd or I’ve missed it which is also odd

HoneyLemon29 · 20/02/2022 15:24

@Mortifiedwoman do you track? X

Mummyme87 · 20/02/2022 15:27

@HoneyLemon29 I had a NC that didn’t save for another thread 😬😬 I don’t do temping but I do track my cycles. And I’m as regular as clockwork usually.

HoneyLemon29 · 20/02/2022 15:36

@Mummyme87 ohh okay, I understand how worrying that must be 😞 hopefully it's just a day or so late. Are you covered BD'ing just incase you have missed? What cycle day are on? X

Mummyme87 · 20/02/2022 15:57

@HoneyLemon29 yes have BD 4 times in the last 8days, so if I’ve missed it, hopefully will have covered it. Just frustrating. When you think you know your body!!!
I’m cycle 4

HoneyLemon29 · 20/02/2022 15:57

@myrainbowjourney Thank you. Starting to get impatient now 😅

HoneyLemon29 · 20/02/2022 16:27

@Mummyme87 at least you're covered ☺️ we sound like we are around the stage, my last period started on the 9th Feb x

Mummyme87 · 20/02/2022 18:29

@HoneyLemon29 yes mine started 8th February. Feeling a bit lost this cycle now 🥴

HoneyLemon29 · 20/02/2022 18:36

@Mummyme87 do you usually have a 28 day cycle before next AF? X

Mummyme87 · 20/02/2022 18:39

@HoneyLemon29 no I have 26day cycle, although last month was 25. So had been planning to test 2nd March on 10dpo. Now I’m not sure

HoneyLemon29 · 20/02/2022 18:48

@Mummyme87 ohh I see, cycle lengths can vary month to month depending on a wide range of factors. I think a common one is stress and I know that with me this time of the month is extremely stressful wondering whether I'll ovulate at all this month 😞 I wouldn't worry yet and keep tracking ☺️ hopefully it's just a day or 2 delayed x

HoneyLemon29 · 20/02/2022 19:36

Just had my first high read. Hopefully in the next day or 2 it will peak 🤞 🤩

Mummyme87 · 20/02/2022 19:53

@HoneyLemon29 yeah I know they can vary, after having covid I had a 30day cycle, and after vaccines had delayed Ov for one cycle. When I was TTC my second baby had no cycle issues. Oh well, not much I can do. Just frustrating

Mummyme87 · 20/02/2022 19:55

@HoneyLemon29 that’s exciting your peak is coming! This is my OPKs for this cycle. CD10 was looking dark, expected a peak the next day, but never came. But my urine was fairly dilute, not sure if that made a difference
