@Bundaberg84 😂😂😂 that really made me laugh. I needed that! Now I'm imagining my tube dancing about in there with no sense of direction!

I'm the same as you, seems I didn't have so much trouble before and now it's challenging. It's so frustrating.

Really hope you have some luck soon 🤞🏼

Hannabanana2021 · 15/02/2022 14:43

@Bundaberg84 are you currently tracking ovulation? I'm cycle day 7 now and OPKs and thermometer due to turn up today 🎉
My mood has completely switched in the last hour because I've just found out my step mum is pregnant with my dads 6th child. I don't know how to deal with the emotions. I'm so happy for peoples pregnancies when I don't know who they are. But people close to me it hurts.

@Bundaberg84 I'm replying to your last comment in the other thread in this thread if that makes sense 😅 are you in the UK? Are you paying private or was this a referral?

@myrainbowjourney yes, a happy, slightly drunk tube that has no idea what's going on. ;) We're in the same boat then. I read somewhere that even though the tube on the other side can pick up the egg, but it has to "learn" that if that makes sense. Maybe this is the case for us? Did you have any tests to see if your remaining tube is fine?

@Hannabanana2021 I stopped tracking two cycles ago because I wanted to take the more relaxed route, which was fine, until I was late. So I decided to start tracking again this cycle as it makes the TWW easier for me when I know when to expect AF. I had very regular cycles, but since the ectopic they seem a bit off, only by a few days, but enough to make me nervous.
I'm not in the UK, and I will have to pay it by myself I guess, but I really don't care that much right now. I'd rather spend some money and have some peace of mind.
And wow that's crazy about your step mum! I guess that was a surprise for you??

Hannabanana2021 · 16/02/2022 10:09

@Bundaberg84 I'm really irritated because yesterday was a bad day altogether. My delivery of OPKs and thermometer went to the wrong address so they're attempting again today. I'm CD8 and want to start tracking asap, then I had a call from the hospital wanting me in to discuss a scan result over a lump near my thyroid today. And then yeah my step mums announcement was a shock. I'm trying to put this in the nicest way possible but she is an older mum and her fertility must be in cracking condition which makes me feel a little sadness over mine at 29. Life seems so cruel at the moment. I've heard the remaining tube moves about a 1/3rd of the time

@Hannabanana2021 sorry you had a rough day yesterday. What a shock about your stepmum! Does she know you are trying?
Hopefully your OPKs have arrived now.

@Bundaberg84 I hope this is the case. And I hope that this cycle my tube wakes up and does what's necessary.
I had a hyfosy to check my tube. Slightly annoying result as the foam came out the other end, but slowly. But there's no way of knowing if there was a blockage which has now been dislodged, or if there's something there which makes passing through difficult, not impossible. Who knows. I wish someone could tell me.
Have you had any tests?

HoneyLemon29 · 16/02/2022 12:09

@myrainbowjourney they are about 2 hours away now 🎉 Yep she knew, I was pouring my heart out about it and explaining how OPKs work and that's when she came out with it. I feel okay today I'm just going to be keeping myself distanced for a while I think from them.

HoneyLemon29 · 16/02/2022 12:09

P.s I've changed my username 😂

HoneyLemon29 · 16/02/2022 12:16

@Bundaberg84
And yeah I understand what you're saying with the tracking it's nice to know exactly when things are happening. I told my partner I wasn't going to but I changed my mind. Or I'll be continuously thinking has it happened? When is AF due? I just want to have more of an idea my body is doing what it should do.

IsabelHerna · 16/02/2022 12:45

I was a 'single tube baby' and that was 40 years ago! I am sure medicine has progressed from the 80s and you will continue your ttc journey just fine

Numeraluno20 · 16/02/2022 13:01

I lost my first pregnancy to etopic had iud in was left with one tube. Time passed we decided to just stop using pill and see what happens 4 months later my first born was conceived. Not expecting it to happen that fast! Fastforward 7 years we stopped the pills -second son born. My partner has now had the snip. Don't assume it wont happen quickly I wish you the best of luck in your journeyFlowers

Whatdramain2022 · 16/02/2022 13:20

One friend has had four DC following an ectopic. Another has had non identical twins. You should be fine. What a horrible shock about your dad though.

HoneyLemon29 · 16/02/2022 13:30

Thank you for the last 3 comments. The positive stories really do help ☺️

HoneyLemon29 · 16/02/2022 13:31

And also very sorry for the losses that have happened beforehand. 1 loss is one too many x

Bundaberg84 · 17/02/2022 11:08

@myrainbowjourney how long ago was your hycosy?
I didn't have any other tests except bloodwork which is fine. All hormones are good for my age, I mean I was able to conceive twice so I didn't think there would be a major problem.

HoneyLemon29 · 17/02/2022 12:00

Well after the hospital visit last night I'm still ok to carry on TTC. So it begins 😮‍💨 I'm nervous to see if I get a peak at all.
I only started my first temp recording this morning on CD9. Is this too late to start tracking temp?

Hi ladies,
It is so lovely to hear everyone's happy stories, its so uplifting. Strangely also to hear 'not so happy' stories as makes you feel like you are not alone in this. I am new to this site and this is my first ever time sharing something so personal, esp online.

I also have one tube (my right taken out) following an ectopic in Aug. We got married in July, fell pregnant first month. We were ecstatic however found out it was sadly an ectopic. NHS surgeon said my remaining tube looked healthy however told me that I had a large fibroid and pregnancy would have been super high risk.... Told me to have it removed before trying again.
In Nov, I went private (as NHS waiting list was a year?!) to get the fibroid removed however this time was told that my remaining tube didn't look so healthy... He didn't actually give me a clear explanation however said something along the lines of there was growth around the tube like I had an infection. He performed a flush/clean and said to wait 3 months and try again. It is my 1st month of trying however as you can imagine I am driving myself crazy wondering whether my remaining tube will work...
In addition I have been pregnant prior to this ectopic but I wasn't ready to have a baby but now I have huge amounts of guilt literally eating me up every single day. It feels so good to be so honest about this!

@HoneyLemon29 Good luck in your tracking. I don't think CD9 is too late to track. In my experience I ovulate earliest CD13.

@Bundaberg84 I completely understand how it feels when you hear pregnancy of close ones. Me and my best friend found out days apart we were pregnant in Aug. Mine was ectopic at 5 weeks and she is now due in April. I am so so happy for her but every time I see her bump cant help but think I would have been the same size etc. :( Chin up. Look at all these lovely stories!

Good luck to everyone in there journey xx

Bundaberg84 · 17/02/2022 15:54

@NewtoTTC87 hi lovely, welcome to the "club" and sorry you're here at the same time. I don't think you wanted to reply to me, that was @HoneyLemon29 ;)

How did he perform the flush? And there's no way of knowing if it "helped"?

HoneyLemon29 · 17/02/2022 16:02

Sorry to hear about everything you went through @NewtoTTC87 I've read a lot of bad and good stories on groups for Ectopics, and I've seen people conceive completely fine with a damaged tube, and I've seen people struggle with healthy ones. I don't know if it's just my paranoia talking, but I'm sure there's more to Ectopics than what's been discovered so far. What cycle day are you on at the moment?

FoggySpecs · 17/02/2022 16:28

I had a ruptured ectopic aged 34 in the August. I lost a fallopian tube and lost a lot of blood. I got pregnant less than six weeks later and in June the following year gave birth to DC1. I then got pregnant again when DC1 was six months old and had DC2. Literally first time I had sex after the ectopic I got pregnant and the second time around I stopped breastfeeding and was pretty much pregnant instantly. I am very lucky.

HoneyLemon29 · 17/02/2022 16:35

@NewtoTTC87 I did read my reply again and wasn't insinuating you have a damaged tube at all I just meant in general, it just looked as if that was aimed at you. I'm really bad at typing sometimes 😅

HoneyLemon29 · 17/02/2022 16:36

@FoggySpecs it's nice hearing positive stories. When you had your scans did they say whether you ovulated on your tubeless side at all? Or were both pregnancies a result of ovulation on the side with a tube?

FoggySpecs · 17/02/2022 16:37

Oh and they also had to remove a massive cyst from one of the ovaries. Sending lots of positive vibes to those TTC.

hmmmmm123 · 17/02/2022 16:42

I had an ectopic pregnancy that ruptured back in March and had my right tube removed. Conceived the first cycle after that which sadly ended in a MC - that scan showed I ovulated from my right ovary and the left remaining tube picked it up.

Fell pregnant again in august and currently 30 weeks now Smile

It's a scary time but don't give up and keep positive Thanks
