Continuation of our last thread…

All of us TTC and in different cycles and stages of our journey.

Helping eachother through the TWW, through the confusing days of OPK/BBT testing and charts, through all of the symptom spotting, the dreaded arrival of AF and the BFP announcements! 😊✨

January was a very lucky month for some who got their BFP and some of us are ready to make February our month!

With giggles and lots of support along the way.

I am 6 day past ovulation, I will start testing in 4 days time. My last pregnancy I had positive at 10 dpo (days post ovulation) x

@Newbiemg looks like we are really close in our cycle! When are you planning to to a test?

@PurpleOrchids12345 can you see a section that says “I’m watching” or “I’m on” you should see the chat there. I use the Internet version though not the app.

I’m 11dpo today so I think I will wait and test tomorrow at 12dpo. How about you?

I tested this morning and stared at the stick for ages- possibly a ultra faint line (or evap), so going to retest tomorrow. It's so nerve wrecking as I've had more positive lines at this stage in previous cycles that have ended up as miscarriages.

@PurpleOrchids12345 if you can, dive it 2 days before testing again so HCG can build up. Fingers crossed for you xxx

@PurpleOrchids12345 I'm now CD1 😃 AF finally arrived after 2 days spotting (how it normally goes) excited to get started with this cycle.

Last 2 months I had a peak around CD14 but I got COVID at the end of Jan so Feb was a little bit to pot CD19, so I am hoping that I'm back to normal for March.
Going to start temping this month too (I think... don't know if extra stress is good) and also thinking of trying the "purple" method a lady on here mentioned from her fertility doctor or the SMEP.. hopefully whatever one I try I get luck from 😃
What are you using to test the first response? x

What is the purple method? I hear some couples fall pregnant when they stop trying and stress appears to negatively affect the process. I'm terrible at stressing and testing on sticks so im def not helping myself!

Im using the one stop test from Amazon. Is that what everyone here would recommend?

@PurpleOrchids12345 I know a few of us use the first response early tests you get them in boots/Superdrug & Amazon. They are low so should pick up a bit earlier. X

The purple technique does look sensible!

Yes I've used first response the last cycle- very sensitive! It was positive but had no line progression and ended up as a chemical sadly.

Heard good reviews! So between that and SMEP I'm going to give one a try next cycle.

How often do people test after ovulation? Do you bother tracking line progression?

I don't test after ovulation normally... but I know @lakejupiter & @Newbiemg test after :)

@PurpleOrchids12345 I used to test after just to see when opks dropped right back down but this cycle as I’m temping I just stopped as soon as I saw my temps showed that I’d ovulated.

Last cycle I ovulated CD16 (according to opks but not confirmed by temps) and I stopped opk testing CD20 as my opks dropped right down low.

This cycle I got peak on CD14 but didn’t ovulate until CD17 but I just stopped testing with opks the day after on CD18 because I was pretty certain I’d ovulated then because of my temps

Thank you for your post- is there a lot of difference testing with opk and with temperature charting? I've always assumed the opk was accurate enough?

@PurpleOrchids12345 the opks detect your LH surge but they don’t confirm that you have ovulated but most ladies will ovulate 12-24 hours after the LH surge detected by the opk but it can be up to 72 hours after (which was the case for me this cycle). The temping is more accurate in confirming when you actually ovulated.

Some people just temp and some just use opks but I started to do both this cycle.

The temping was helpful for me because I found that I I ovulated longer after my LH surge than I realised.

I would say do what works for you and aslong as your dtd enough around your fertile window you should catch the right days anyway

@Emma543 evap lines are usually grey and no red/pink to them. Also a lot fainter then that! Looks very much like a BFP to me, congrats 🥳
