Continuation of our last thread…

All of us TTC and in different cycles and stages of our journey.

Helping eachother through the TWW, through the confusing days of OPK/BBT testing and charts, through all of the symptom spotting, the dreaded arrival of AF and the BFP announcements! 😊✨

January was a very lucky month for some who got their BFP and some of us are ready to make February our month!

@Newbiemg I never managed to DTD last night.. OH was not approachable but did first thing on Thursday morning after midnight and if I do tonight do you think that's ok? I'm kicking myself x

I have a TMI story for you about last night sorry in advance and I deffo shouldn’t be sharing this but as we are pretty anonymous haha. So this has never happened to us before the whole time we have been together so I think perhaps I’ve been putting too much pressure on my OH. We did BD last night but he kept losing his erection so we were like stopping and starting over and over and then he couldn’t finish so we left it and went to sleep. He then woke me up a few hours later and we tried again and he said he finished that time but I’m not entirely sure if he did or if he lied because he felt bad that he didn’t perform.

This morning we managed to dtd fine though and I know he finished as I felt it etc so we covered it but I feel like perhaps it’s getting to him that he has to perform on demand I guess so I think we need to relax our approach abit because I don’t want to make him feel that way.

I’m still negative on the opks today so I think we will have a break until I get my positive x

Odd about the cramping. Hopefully everything is on track.

Sorry that you had to go through those types of convos at your meeting but yeah it’s positive that you have it if you need it but hopefully you won't.

OMG! Me & OH are just had a similar convo regarding being expected to perform, can tell it's getting to him.

Nothing is TMI!
Do you tell him when you are testing what you are etc? I wonder sometimes if it's better not telling them?
Least you have a few days off and can try again on Sunday and hopefully that will be your lucky day x

This was the first month I have used any OPK and I think I might have been a bit late in catching my ovulation. I didn't want to start testing straight away so I only started a day or 2 before the apps predicted my fertile window and the first 2 tests I did were low. Then on the Sunday it jumped to high and Monday was high again but slightly less than Sunday so the app recalculated the Sunday as my peak and Monday as ovulation. I didn't realise that it jumped so quickly between peak and ovulation so we only managed to DTD on Saturday and then Monday night but I feel like the Monday might have been too late. The result was still fairly high on Monday and that was around 6pm so could this indicate I was still within a good time for ovulation?

Sorry for all of the long brain dump! My OH and I actually decided that I would track ovulation but not tell him too much about it because we thought he might feel too under pressure as well... which is probably why I feel the need to burden you all with my ramblings hahaha!

@RMS0209 I have been telling him I’m testing but I agree it may be a good idea to stop telling him and just try to initiate when I get my peak so it seems more fun and less a regimented task haha

@Mays12 Your opk detects your LH surge which usually happens 12-24 hours before ovulation (sometimes as much as 48-72 but not usually).

So when you get your positive OPK you usually ovulate the following day and then the egg lasts about 24 hours. If you DTD Saturday and Monday I would say you covered it well

@Mays12 I think 2 days before ovulation and ovulation day are the highest chances. Sending baby dust! 🤞✨

@Newbiemg omg my oh had this issue last time!!! He was fuming and we put it down to the pressure of it all when normally he's absolutely fine!

@RMS0209 I have cramps today but I don’t know if they’re ovulation cramps as they’re all over not on one side but possible could be gearing up.

My CB this morning was still flashing but I’ve run out of line opks. I used the last one lastnight. Amazon delivery of them are coming today hopefully soon.

If my app is correct I should get a peak today or tomorrow but I’ll test as soon as they arrive.

I’m sorry to hear that you’re feeling sad today. Is it just the pressure and because your cycles got abit messed up with covid adding extra worry I bet?

Just pressure and bedside cycles messed up with covid, that was an extra unwanted or unneeded worry, and kicking myself that I should have tried last night..hopefully tonight is ok.

@RMS0209 I do get cramps before ovulation usually and then worse during. I just had some ewcm. They smallest amount known to man haha but it’s the proper egg white stretchy stuff not just watery. This cycle my cm seems to be improving compared to other cycles so perhaps it’s a delayed affect of the EPO kicking in I’m not sure.

Those flashing faces will end up making us lose the plot soon if we have to use them again next cycle (hopefully we don’t) 😂

I got Femometer ones which are my usuals but I also got some easy at home ones but I think I’m just going to stick with the Femometer this cycle so that it’s easier to compare the readings because I’m on CD12 now.

I think your previous and tonight will be good. They do actually say every other day don’t they so sperm can replenish so who knows it may have been better you didn’t last night. Your OH swimmers may be rested and ready to go lol

You are probably right with the BD, I just panic...need a chill pill 😃the readings because I’m on CD12 now.
But if it's higher today might be good to go for it! It seems more stressful with the cheapies than just the smiley!!

@RMS0209 I think that premom (If that’s what you’re using) won’t log an opk as peak until it sees a decrease after. So they will say high until it drops down and then it know it was your peak. I think but don’t quote me lol

My opks arrived and I’ve just done one and still negative and low. My urine was probably abit too diluted so I’ll try a 4 hour hold before the next one but I don’t think I’ll get a positive today. It was 0.21

Yeah I bought easy @ home this month, first time. Last month I had cheap eBay ones with a green strip but I was just using them willy nilly. But using the premom app. What app do you use again sorry?
Well isn't that frustrating about the high/peak.. strange, will just be optimistic and DTD tonight and hope for the best then!

When people do sperm analysis, I’m pretty sure they ask you to abstain for 2-3 days before to get the best sample (gives it time to regenerate) so one night off is not a bad thing. And it’s hangs around for 5 days. You’re covered ✨☺️

Good job on DTD last night @Newbiemg. There’s no chance I’d have managed to keep my eyes open that long 😂 my last OPK was 0.21 as well. Are we…the same person 🤔😂 And on your story. Nothing is TMI! We’ve had that happen once before because OH got in his head. Because of that, I am refusing to tell him anything about the OPKs til after ov just in case!

Hi all, hope you don't mind me tagging along! Am just at the start of TTC, am 32, always too many excuses before now! Have had a pretty bad 2 years health-wise but hopefully coming to the end of it now. Wanted to start TTC as soon as I had the coil out (3 weeks ago), no sign of AF yet but haven't had a visit in around 9 years - and v irregular before that. Looks like a lovely group to join , wishing you all the best!

I use Premom app too to log my BBT and opks.

I use Flo too but more of a quick glance rather than log in there.

Hope AF arrives soon so you can get going or ovulation whichever comes first. Are you going to be tracking with opks or an app or anything?

@newbiemg thanks for the welcome! I actually already have a CB test kit (given to me by a friend who managed to get pg quickly!) but I gather I have to wait for the first AF to come and go - may be a long tedious wait!!
