Soooo....@Minster2012 is letting the lunatics take over the asylum as she's handing over the driving seat to the passengers and having a well deserved rest after driving us around since June 2020!

Oh gosh, @Somatronic I hope that you’re feeling better now. No way I could handle drinking on a school night now! I’ve gone soft! Love that you got fully into the spirit though, sometimes it’s necessary.

@lakejupiter men are just so frustrating. Their TTC job is so easy in comparison, yet we have to gently manoeuvre them into even simple tasks. I have to remind my DH to take a vitamin supplement then he looks ask wounded when I snap at him for it! To be fair, I think he’s finishing putting undercoat on our new fitted wardrobes now after he finished early today. So maybe I can forgive him (a little!).

Thanks @Minster2012. Tonight will be the real test. I’m getting my hair done straight after school then we’re out for tea with DH’s family. We’ll see how much energy we have after that!

Depends how many times the co-parent can deliver @lakejupiter - DH often struggled...! Also I bet he's not Rod Stewart's age so he shouldn't feel embarrassed! One of my friends swears by 4 x walnuts a day for sperm health, no idea if it's based in science or not...?

@larrythelizard he seems fine under the performance pressure so far but can imagine it gets quite intense to have to keep "delivering". Maybe it's easier that we each do our thing alone - less performance anxiety!

Hi all. Just catching up with everybody's posts. Ive got a lovely viral infection so been feeling sorry for myself all week! Hope everybody is ok :)

Ladies, I’ve been feeling tired all week, but I put it down to still recovering from covid, yes still, but yesterday I started having a runny nose and a sore throat, at 9 yesterday dh send me to bed, I have a terrible cold, lft negative thankfully, I predict a weekend in bed, thankfully dh is quite competent and will pick up the slack, just a pity party post

It's the time of year for all sorts of bugs @Franklydear - DS is a full on green snot machine and I've got a bit of it too. A day in bed sounds just what the dr ordered!

We spend our whole TTC journeys trying to be “good” eat the right thing, take the right pills, be the right weight, the right age, get the right amount of sperm, piss on the sticks at the right time and sometimes you just need to say F*CK THIS SHT

I’m disappointed by all of your general response to my piss-crystal diagram and think you should have higher hopes for your wee receptacle. I have transitioned to a scoop with a handle, so I feel very superior, still managed to wee on my hand yesterday though. So not that superior.

@pennysays we will find the right pot, we do enough research, is it bad that I am already sick of being in bed?, don’t worry, I’ll remain here, it does help

@Franklydear well I hope mine loses interest in every second day soon! During the week his opening line was "now let's see if we can't save ourselves a few grand" meaning let's get pregnant the old fashioned way rather than IVF. Romance is officially dead. I hope you feel better soon by the way.

A lil update from me. Coparent says he's going to look into booking a private SA but not until after this month's inseminations because there's no point. There is a point 😭 but trying not to be grumpy about it. It's hard because I think it's tempting to just focus on inseminations in the run up to them, so it's like "well no point in changing anything up right now", then the super long TWW where it's tempting to think "well we could already be pregnant so no point in booking anything" and then post BFN "well let's just focus on next week's inseminations for now". Agh. But happy it's on his mind at least. He also suggested doing one of those at home kits that are like £30 in boots but I'm not sure whether there's much point in that as they don't tell you much compared to SA.

I got Femometer OPK strips this month and they came with a fancy little reusable wee cup. Not quite Crystal @pennysays but excited for the upgrade.

The spout is for pouring it into the loo after you’ve dipped, and there’s also a sort of slot on one side that you can hold the stick upright in to avoid going over the max line but I’ve never really used it

@lakejupiter I don't temp during AF because I temp vaginally and quite honestly I enjoy the week off. I normally start again on CD8

I'm on CD7 today, finished the soy isoflavones yesterday, just waiting for FW now

@Minster2012 I must say I have been spending a lot of time with my BFF's two year old this week and wondering whether AF/BFN is such a bad thing 😂 all feelings all the time.

I politely reminded my coparent that I have been for a while bunch of blood tests and barely go a day without weeing on something, taking my temperature, checking my cervix and generally prodding and monitoring myself. I said it would be extremely helpful for the process for him to get tested but it's his body so ultimately his decision. He has offered to do one of the at home kits from Boots but as far as I can see all they can tell you is whether you have above or below average concentration/count so not really sure what the point is? The likelihood is - mostly just bc of his age - he will have a below average result and have to go for proper tests anyway. Or he could get an above average result and still have poor motility/morphology and we wouldn't know about it. Maybe he's right that I worry/catastrophise too much but I'm trying to be realistic about our chances and also maximise them.

I'm a day behind you @polkadotpixie - CD7. Will start temping again tomorrow. This morning I attempted it but fell asleep with it in my mouth 😂 how did you find Isoflavones?

Grrrr typed out a reply yesterday for it to disappear!

@Somatronic fab news on the ivf approval! Especially when you went in expecting a battle and she just agreed - result. Getting drunk is always a welcome relief from TTC rules - sod it!

@lakejupiter maybe another go just a couple of days after you think you've ov'd for good measure too? I usually had a 31 day cycle so ov around 15-17 but the times I conceived (albeit all didn't end well) were when I ov'd days 19,20 and 23 so I'd always recommend one more for good measure

@Franklydear argggh sorry the covid fatigue has still got you. I think I mentioned on here me and DH had it over new year. I'm fine now although took a long time to test negative but DH is massively struggling with fatigue

@pennysays my wee pot recommendation below ... where the lid sticks out is actually part of the plastic rim so a good little handle and the pots are nice and wide too. Ahhh I would agree with the splashback @lakejupiter like @Minster2012 said on that one 😂 check out my alternative yoghurt pot 😆
