Thanks everyone for your responses @Ganesh2022 @Skl2021 @Cruz86 - feeling quite emosh and hormonal but that is probably due to AF!

@Legoisaws8om I've just started my first AF since surgery and am surprised by how red and watery it is - it's technically only day 1 but I've been spotting since Tues so thought it might be in the post. I've been trying to reframe it in a positive light, it means my cycles are back in theory so can get cracking.

Hope everyone is having lovely Saturday nights, I've just finished it starts with the egg so feeling a lot more empowered and in control now after a week of stressing.

Cruz86 · 15/01/2022 22:45

@Slops1990 ❤️

You're going to be in the TWW probably exactly the same time as me @Sparklesurprise29! I'm actually excited for us all now, I was more apprehensive to begin with.

Just done my third opk of the day (obsessed) but it's no longer peak!! So I should be ovulating overnight/tomorrow wooooo x

Ganesh2022 · 15/01/2022 23:05

Welcome to anyone who has joined; this has been so helpful for me and I hope it will be for you too.
@Slops1990 really feel for you with people not being helpful. I've not told my mom as she was appalled I was ttc at "my age" I saw her over the holidays and keeping it in was really hard, but I've learned she can't help in that way. Learned the hard way, it sucks. Friends have been really kind, and to be fair I don't know how much more they could do, but I got a bit of a sense of, ok, now back to normal, right? It's hard.

@calimc83 enjoy the late bday celebration!!

Ganesh2022 · 15/01/2022 23:08

@Legoisaws8om not sure if it's helpful, and I know fighting with GPs or paying out of pocket can be really hard/not possible, but for me personally I prefer to get things checked just so that I can check them off the anxiety list if makes sense? Anecdotally I know lots of people's periods change throughout life though for no apparent reason, and doesn't seem to affect fertility or health as far as I know.

Legoisaws8om · 16/01/2022 00:11

@Ganesh2022 thank you. I have paid privately for a hycosy happening on Tuesday so hoping they will notice anything abnormal happening. Sending lots of love to everyone TTC

Slops1990 · 16/01/2022 08:21

@Ganesh2022 thats awful, bless you, your mum is one of the people that should be there. My mum told me yesterday "just pull yourself together" when i was upset wouldnt even comfort me. I dont even talk to my sister anymore because she wasnt supportive. My friends have been amazing as has my OH but i feel like my family should be there for me.
Its getting to the point where its coming up to nearly 5 months and i feel like everyone is thinking just move on but it feels like just yesterday he was born and the heartbreak is just the same.

PamelaDoov · 16/01/2022 10:30

For gods sake I stopped bleeding all yesterday and now it’s come back AGAIN 😔

Sparklesurprise29 · 16/01/2022 10:31

Woohoo! @cruz86, get yourself some action!!😄 I'm the same, feeling positive this month, really hope it happens for us💖 🌈 I've not used opks for a couple of days so just going by ewcm, hopefully it works out! I always worry my pee is too diluted for them😅
Its so hard during the 2WW trying to push it all out of your mind and resist testing 🙈

Skl2021 · 16/01/2022 10:45

@PamelaDoov hang in there 💕 hoping it stops soon for you! X

@Sparklesurprise29 do you think your in the tww yet then? X

Hi everyone 👋
Just to say I checked out of Mumsnet after getting AF. I feel sooo much better and now obsessing anymore. Doing my OPKs and BBT but not analysing them to death like I was doing.
Hope everyone's doing ok 💋

Cruz86 · 16/01/2022 10:56

I'm so sorry @Slops1990, that must have been so difficult to hear. Personally, family or not, I've now come to the realisation that you should only be around people who lift you up and bring something to your life. It sounds like your mum is doing more harm than good at the moment. You don't need to "pull yourself together".

@Sparklesurprise29 my opks went quite light but now they're creeping back up again 😩 and my temp hasn't risen either so think my body is trying but just can't yet. So frustrating x

MO22 · 16/01/2022 11:12

@aesgriff I did the same! Sometimes you just need a break. Where are you at cycle wise now?

@Ganesh2022 just wanted to say thanks for your comments, and I think @Cruz86 too - I've just ordered a private blood test to do a once over post the MMC. It should arrive Monday, I feel knowledge is power!

For the ovulating tests, does anyone know if it has to be day 2 of your period, or can it be a bit later as long as you are still bleeding?

Skl2021 · 16/01/2022 11:15

@aesgriff welcome back ✨ glad the break has done good! Onwards to a new cycle 🤞 x
@Cruz86 oh no I thought u were ovulating 😩 Hopefully soon 🤞 x

Cruz86 · 16/01/2022 11:20

Sorry to hear your bleeding has started again @PamelaDoov 😩 How long has it been now?

@aesgriff hi! Whereabouts are you in your cycle?

@MO22 I think that's a good idea. I ordered an at-home progesterone test to do 5-7 days after suspected ovulation. So I'll be doing that next weekend hopefully. I agree that knowledge is power so if you can, always worth doing anyway. Plus I obsess thinking something so if I just go ahead and find the answers, it won't consume my mind as much.

Honestly, I'm turning into you @Skl2021 😂 I just want to ovulate!!! X

aesgriff · 16/01/2022 11:21

@Skl2021 have to say I did cackle at your DTD stories 🤣 you did well girl hats off to you!

@MO22 I am CD12. First cycle following first period since D&C. It's saying I'm going to have a 32 day cycle but I think that's likely because my previous cycle was 58 days (😱) so ovulation likely to be around CD20... we shall see 😜

aesgriff · 16/01/2022 11:23

@Cruz86 ooh where do get these at home progesterone tests from? I'm CD12 likely to ovulate around CD20.. maybe 🤷🏻‍♀️ who knows!!!

Skl2021 · 16/01/2022 11:27

@Cruz86 I don't envy you honestly it drove me crazy! Just god dam ovulate already 🤣🤯 I hope it's soon for you! 🙌 my vagina is on a well earned rest now 🙊🤣

@aesgriff honestly this month did me in! I thought I was close to ovulation like the whole month so started dtd well to early! And well that's were I fucked up 🤣 couldn't keep up the pace 🤦 then I got peak for three days just to top it off a bit more 🙄 I don't want to DTD again!! I stopped in the end didn't go right upto ovulation as I had enough 🙈🤣 hope for the best now!! X

Cruz86 · 16/01/2022 11:28

It's from a website called Medichecks @aesgriff. Progesterone only is £39 too so not bad at all! Hoping that, if it does reveal low levels, I can take the info to my gp and request to be referred or be prescribed supplements. Ah, you're a late ovulator like me! X

MO22 · 16/01/2022 11:30

@Cruz86 ah progesterone is the one thing I didn't get included in mine, I think I'll save that for next month once I've done all the other stuff it was recommended to check out - I feel like I'll be picking my fingers for a while!

@aesgriff ah you're 10 days ahead of me, I can't wait for AF to be over and to feel like things are a bit more back to normal once I've checked everything out hormone wise. I've got PCOS but well managed I think, I have periods and got pregnant once, so hoping it's not too debilitating. I also order thousands of supplements yesterday, i'm a woman on a mission lol. I used Medichecks for blood tests, first time so can report back on what it's like when it hopefully arrives tomorrow!

MO22 · 16/01/2022 11:33

@Skl2021this makes me lol, my therapist was like, you know if you just want to avoid testing etc, just DTD every two days - I asked DD what he thought and he was like, we are just too old and lazy for that lol (I'm 34 and he's 38!)...

Cruz86 · 16/01/2022 11:33

Haha it needs a little pamper @Skl2021! We've actually only dtd 3 times in my fertile window but I've got so much work on that I'm just absolutely shattered. Not sure I can do today as well so may give tonight a miss and just do once more tomorrow, even though I probably would've ovulated already! X

Cruz86 · 16/01/2022 11:35

Ooh what test did you get done @MO22? If my progesterone comes back okay, I'll get another one done from there too. Yes please let us know what it's like! I've heard good things from other people. And what supplements have you bought? I honestly take so many, it takes me about 5 mins to have them all 😂 x

Skl2021 · 16/01/2022 11:39

@MO22 yes it's recommended everywhere! I just can't do it 🤣🙈 especially if I ovulate late by the time it comes round I'm so done! So defeats the object as then I don't do it in the fertile window 🤦 then I think about all the wasted times I DTD 🙄 like what was the point!!

@Cruz86 Needs more than a pamper 🤣🙌 the thought of doing it again makes me sick 🤮 haha! Yes sometimes life gets in the way and sometimes u just CBA! 🙌 U have done it 3 times so that should be plenty! X

PamelaDoov · 16/01/2022 11:41

@Cruz86 2 weeks today. I know it’s still a normal amount of time but I’m so fed up of it.

MO22 · 16/01/2022 11:41

@Cruz86 so I got the advanced female hormone and the vit D one. I read "It starts with the egg" and they said thyroid and low vit D can contribute to MC, so I wanted to just everything checked. Many moons ago they thought I might have thyroid problems but I ended up (several years later) being diagnosed with PCOS. I just wonder if may I do have thyroid issues too and wanted to check everything out.

Supplement wise, I was taking concieve plus the month I concieved for ovulation and fertility, but looking at the levels they're all pretty low and I could do with having my higher doses according to the book, so I spent like £80 on buying it all Blush. I just thought, every little helps right! I'd do anything not to go through this again, so figure if I can get my diet right and supplement, my poor old eggs might improve in quality! Bought some vitamins for DH also!
