I want it but I'm pretty scared. Our appointment about IVF wasn't good so now I feel stressed. Doesn't help that my mum said that the IVF appointment was maybe a sign that we shouldn't have a baby :(

Haven't caught up so not sure where anyone is today, but hoping people are feeling as ok as possible.
@waffle222 what you said re your mum strikes a chord b/c my mom has been hugely unsupportive, has said similar things about the m/c. I don't think there are any signs that people should or shouldn't have babies. You want a babythat is the signand I hope you get what your heart desires!

@waffle222 sorry to hear that upset you....Before getting pregnant my mum told me I shouldn't have any more babies due to my previous 'difficult' births...( which were pretty uneventful apart from x2 3rd degree tears 😬🙈) but that's a different story...I ignored her, got pregnant, didn't tell her then had a MC which I had to finally tell her..told her I was upset by what she'd said earlier and she apologised but still 🤷‍♀️ it had really annoyed me xx

Aw thanks for asking @Skl2021. I've been quite busy with work which is good but I've just checked my cup and I'm just spotting, not even red! So the blood I had earlier was very strange. But I'm feeling very crampy and I think my cervix has lowered down so actual af is imminent. How are you? Xx

@theblueflowers I get that..u just want to be able to draw a line under it and start TTC if that's what you want to do...doctors can say really unhelpful stuff..I was told to be thankful that I already had 2 children by the doctor as she was administering the medicine for the MC. Yes fair enough I'm extremely grateful for them, but I wanted this baby just as much 😡 xx

I'm shocked by what many professionals say! It really stays with people, too.

My mom very much comes at it from her own experienceshe had one child, at 19 (was very religious at the time, Jewish, and that's what people in the community were doing, so she did, too) and firmly believed that's the way to go (the one child bit, less the 19 bit) and so to her 3 is "ridiculous"it always would've been but now she's grabbed onto my age as the thing to hang it on. I try to remember that it comes from love/caring, but it's really torn a wedge between us; I don't open up to her anymore. The thought of my daughter keeping something like this from me is heartbreaking and it's been a wake up call to be supportive even when I don't agree with her in future.

@theblueflowers They told me the sametwo weeksand I did think that was kind of random because surely it depends on the sensitivity of the test, too?! Seeing that line when you don't want to see it is so upsetting. Jeez, I'm even triggered by lateral flow tests lately, waiting for second line to come up and then remembering I don't want two lines on that test...!

Did a bit of facebook stalking today and saw an old friend had just had her first baby; she's got to be 40 plus so...made me feel (very, very temporarily) better.

My friend is 43 and pregnant naturally with her first.
I’m going to keep plugging on. The hospital told me after my MC that there are lots of 40 something first time mums come through the doors xx
Roll on conception time, this geriatric mum wants another baby.

@calimc83 POSITIVITY ✨✨ 🤣 Did that get to you?! I'm doing ok not great I just don't feel very confident. I know my lines are getting darker but my levels can't be that high as I'm only just showing on a 20miu and that's very questionable 😩 going to be a long few days! Hope your keeping busy the tww is hard!! Xx

@Cruz86 hmm that's weird isn't it! It's horrible being stuck in limbo if it is af u just want it to hurry up and get on with it! Glad your keeping busy! U went quiet on us so just making sure u were ok 💕 I'm ok just need to try and switch off constant worrying is doing me no good 🙈🤣 xx

Right so I’m having more ewcm now, my cervix is high and soft… still a blank circle on these OPKs! I thought it would be flashing.
This is my first time using them. Is that maybe why? Because the tests don’t have a baseline for my hormone levels?
