I thought sick notes were needed if you've been off for more than 7 days? So 7 days self-certification and then a sick note for anything more than this?

Is there anyone around you to help out today?

@PamelaDoov, crikey no need to apologise! Everyone on this thread has, more or less, been in your shoes. Lord knows I still have days where I just cry randomly and want to throw books across the room. This is what the thread is for!

apparantly after Dec 2021 it’s not needed until 28 days. But I got given one anyway, I guess because I was at the hospital there was no reason not to just do it

@PamelaDoov I'm so very sorry, I wish there was something I could say to make it better. My mind clings onto dates, too, good or bad, so I can only imagine the pain of the disparity between what should be happening on a certain date and what actually is happening. Thinking of you.

Not at all....to me this thread has been about being real and not putting on a face, as I've felt I've had to do (to various degrees of success, but mostly failure) in real life xx

Urgh feeling annoyed. Currently CD16, according to Glow my ovulation date was yesterday. Didn't manage to dtd yday but when we tried today it didn't happen either, sorry if TMI but I felt so dry! Not like me at all, tried some conceive plus and it didn't help. Now im worried im going to get AF super early ☹
How are people getting on in the 2WW?

I’ve used EConsult to see if my doc will ring me today or tomorrow and extend the sick note. I’m gonna call or email my manager later and tell him I’m not ready. I should ring him really but I really don’t want to.

I'm right into the awful part of the TWW (I think... not quite sure when O day was) and one of my best friends just told me she's pregnant with their third and... of course I'm thrilled for her but she borrowed our newborn crib for her second and this means she'll probably be finished using it for her third by the time we need it again.

I know that's a really specific thing to get hung up on, but we put it back in the attic at Christmas, having kept it out thinking we'd need it in March, which was really painful.

To cap it all, I'm spotting very, very slightly, I keep overanalysing every twinge and ache, and I feel sick, but I know that's just the adrenalin from the nerves and anxiety of the TWW.

I just want to be unconscious until testing day/AF arrives. And if by some miracle I am pregnant, I want to be unconscious again until the 12 week scan.

Phew, anxiety rant over.

@PamelaDoov, that's great, hope the doctor gets back to you soon. I'd email if I were you. I didn't call my manager once, she just got emails. The first time I discussed it over a zoom call, once I was back at work, I burst into tears. It'll be much easier to sound professional and calm via email, plus it's what you want to do anyway.

@Shortmamashortcycles sorry that sounds like such an anxious time for you. I always think the same, just knock me out until the important bit! Waiting and not knowing is the worst.

Have you done anymore opks @Sparklesurprise29? My temp hasn't increased yet so I still haven't ovulated, despite getting a peak on Saturday. I'm on cd19 now!

@Shortmamashortcycles sorry to hear your best friend has announced a pregnancy. That must have been so hard to hear. Personally, I wouldn't be lending the crib to her for this baby. I know it seems ridiculous but I do believe in things subconsciously affecting us. You keep that crib in your house because you will absolutely need it in the near future ❤️ How many dpo are you now?

@Sparklesurprise29 welcome to the tww 🙌 u did it in the days before ovulation didn't you? So u should still be ok. I didn't DTD on my ovulation day or day after either so hoping it was enough 🤞I'm 3 dpo so playing the waiting game now 😬🙈

@Shortmamashortcycles when is af due? It's such a hard thing to deal with wanting to be pregnant so much but then I expect I would be filled with anxiety if it did happen 😩 every little twinge or symptom would scare me! I like your idea if only we could skip to the 12 week mark! 🙌

@Cruz86 sorry to hear that I was sure u were going to ovulate that test looked really strong! Are your test just going up and down? X

@Cruz86, our bodies are so frustrating, sorry about your unclear temps. I am anywhere from 4-8DPO because my own body is doing weird things this cycle.

@Skl2021, thanks hun, technically period is due Thursday but I think this cycle is a bit off. I usually have 25-26 day cycles, ovulating cd14-15, but this time I might not have ovulated until cd19 so 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️

Trying to be realistic i.e., "statistically, we'll get pregnant again but probably not this cycle." Which is a hard one to balance...

@Shortmamashortcycles oh yes you might be a few days later if you didn't ovulate until later. Do you test early or wait for af? Yes its hard to find a balance. I keep reading stats on people getting pregnant within 3 months of miscarriage and then I'm like we'll why isn't it happening 🙈 makes me worry even more! X

@Skl2021, I have a pretty short LP so wait for AF and only then do I test. I used to take spotting as an early warning but then both BFPs so far have happened after spotting so that's utterly killed my inner pessimist.

I'm planning to wait until next Monday (or until AF which could turn up any moment) to be absolutely sure I wasn't testing too early, but I may cave later this week.

@cruz86 I did one today and its fainter than the first one so really hoping that means I've ovulated at some point in the past 2-3 days🤞or its maybe still to happen🤔 thats really frustrating about your temps☹ are you going to continue dtd until it increases or wait and see?

@skl2021 yep we dtd on days 11, 12 and 14, wish we'd squeezed another one in yday/today☹ keeping my fingers crossed for you! Hope those swimmers have got to the egg💖 wish you could see whats happening in there😅

@shortmamashortcycles I agree with @cruz86 re. keeping the crib, keep the faith💖 also I second wishing I could be unconscious until the 12 week mark🤣 wish that was a thing! I'm going to need to work on ways to manage my worries about having an MC again when I do fall pregnant again!

@Skl2021 It's not my opks going up and down, they're still fainter than my peak. It's my temp that didn't increase this morning but I've got cramps today so I think today is the day! I bloody hope so anyway. So going to dtd tonight and pray that my temp increases in the morning.

When did you get your peak again @Sparklesurprise29? Maybe dtd tonight just in case?

Thank you @Skl2021. Yeah I am 😂 we haven't even done it much this cycle but I just want to be in the TWW already, wondering if I've got any symptoms and feeling my boobs regularly to see if they're tender 😂 x

Okay I think I officially ovulated yesterday 🙌🏻 I am now in the tww. The sore boobs were horrible, especially because they didn't stop hurting until after the mc xx

Im 4DPO but I’m already symptom spotting is it normal to have symptoms this early on? I feel hot and flustered I felt like this with my previous pregnancy. I also have covid though tested positive on Saturday, I feel fine just abit tired but now I’m stuck isolating with my toddler analysing every symptom. Did covid affect anyone elses pregnancies? Worried it may affect me becoming pregnant

Thanks @Cindy974, and there's no time too early for symptom spotting... although anything at your stage will simply be what progesterone is doing to your body!

I've seen several folks on here get BFP and positive covid tests at the same time and they seemed to be ok. I had covid in Dec and it didn't seem to affect my cycle.

I went temporarily insane last night - I felt super nauseous and woke up convinced I was pregnant, even though I was still spotting. Like an idiot, even though I have no idea what DPO I am, I did an FRER that I happened to have in the house. Obviously stark white.

Have now come to my senses and am sensibly sitting here with a mooncup in waiting for AF to show.

Hi all, mind if I join you? I had a MC at 9 weeks last august and a CP in nov (on DH’s bday!) just had a BFN this morning and I want to quit. Feel like we’ll never be parents. I feel so lost and sad and DH just merrily seems to be able to carry on with it all. Hugs to everyone.
