8 DOP - the waiting!

Hey. I'm not sure of the point of this thread really but I suppose I just need to talk. I'm bang in the middle of the two week wait and I'm driving myself crazy! I don't know if I'm seeing symptoms that are all in my head, honestly this waiting is making me obsessed. Tell me I'm not alone! I can't really talk to anyone as no one knows we're trying, and my partner is the most laid back and patient person I know (total opposite of me!)
How are you guys in limbo doing?

I'm getting weird light cramping and I'm only 4DPO. Or I'm looking out for it. I know it wouldn't be implantation so early so what is it

I seem to remember something about the extra progesterone causing similar symptoms after ovulation...but then because we're hyper aware we notice them maybe? Xxx

Don't get disheartened at a bfn early, I tested at 13 and 14 DPO on a first response and had a BFN but I just knew I was pregnant. My period was late and I tested two days after it was due and I got my BFP.

@lp50 ah congratulations!! That's really reassuring, it's so easy to get disheartened isn't it. But I can just feel it, i feel so different. I'm hoping for a much more obvious line tomorrow. How time drags in the tww!!

I’m 8dpo now and just realised I should probably test. I was gonna have a drink tonight and then hubby asked me if I need to do a test! Not like him to be so on the ball. It was a bfn but it’s early days.
What tests do you all use? I’ve ordered some clear blue but they cost a fortune!

I've used all sorts, Clearblue, First Response and just cheap Tesco ones lol But I always seem to come back to Clearblue, suppose it's because that's what I got my BFP on first time round lol xxx

I've always bought a pack of cheapies like Tesco own brand alongside some clear blue 😅 spent a fortune, with my first I'm not exaggerating I done roughly 20 tests 😅 hindsight not sure why but felt I needed too at the time haha.
I have got my DH to order to first response tonight, not used them before but they seem to be the go to for before AF due, although I am going to try and hold out and test when / if I'm late. Xx

My Ovia app says it’s 5 days until testing and I’m CD24. Do you think it’s still too early? I’ve never actually tested before my period was due because I didn’t think it would show. I feel a new obsession coming on lol

I'm not 100% sure about testing on cycle days...but I know the early tests (like FRER) are usually around 6 days before your missed period...so 5 days before you're due? Does that work 🤔 It's one of those things I get when I'm doing it but working out the maths without doing the peeing is hard 🤣 xxx

Guys I have to share this with you! I'm still a little doubtful so I'll do a digital a bit later in the week just so I have it in writing and I can start enjoying this a bit more.

Looks good @ERachD congrats! I think il get a digi today as took another and It's a blazer. Far clearer than any for my MC last month.

Congrats ladies. Both looking very positive!! 💕I’m on CD9 I think so waiting until Tuesday before I open the FRER pack! Getting all sorts of symptoms but feel like might just be me paying more attention to my body. My expectation is low so at least I won’t be disappointed!

I'm SO new to this. Feel massively out of my depth. Never given much thought to having children until my very late 20s now I'm 31 and just beginning to TRY to understand ovulation, cycles and TTC.

I Stopped my contraceptive pill on 29th October. Have had 3 periods since then, 2 of which I would class as "natural" with one being a withdrawal bleed.

First natural period took 31 days to come and second took 29 days, so I don't exactly know my ovulation window. This month I had figured it was somewhere between 9th-14th Jan and have "TTC" on 3 of those days.

Today is the 16th and I'm already driving myself mad thinking of every little ache and pain despite knowing it's WAY too early to know. I Know we haven't been trying very long but I'm just too highly strung I guess

Sorry for the long post but it distracted me from Google for 5 mins 😅

Well my FRER tests arrived about half an hour ago, promised I wouldn't do one, but caved and got a BFP!! 🥺 I just can't believe it, but I had a feeling. I wonder if I've ovulated sooner than I thought... af not due until next Friday... Hoping for our rainbow 🌈💖

@Hope90x I know what you mean! It’s so hard not to get obsessed. My first pregnancy was a bit of a surprise and I obsessed with ever twinge but it makes it harder to enjoy in the long run. I had to set my self some boundaries. This time I’m feeling the obsession coming along and if I am so tempted to test every day but it wouldn’t be good for me so I’ve decided to wait until Tuesday and see!

5 DPO and days are going sooo slow

Still getting light cramping and I didn't have this when I had my BPF with DD so I'm like what's going on. Think I'm reading too much into it?

We can get through this together - I'm 6dpo 😊 It's so difficult to not read into any little thing. Last month I had cramps around this time and I was so certain, but nothing 😔 It's horrible because as much as you try you can't switch off from it xxx

It's so hard not to let yourself feed into it Carinae. I had peculiar sensations just past ovulation last month and it really got my hopes up. This month I now have dull achy cramps (minor) in my pelvic area and extremely tender nipples. I really think I'm getting my own hopes up each time but it's hard not to overthink it 😅
