Are you in the 2 week wait? How are you doing/feeling?

After my either early loss/chemical last cycle I was hoping to try again this cycle (most fertile first 3 months after loss) but sadly I have been super poorly and only managed to baby dance once around peak 🤦🏼‍♀️

So I am not too hopeful this cycle, but at least we did try 😂

I’m 5dpo and trying not not to symptom spot. We tried Sperm meets egg plan this month and know we’ve given it our best shot. It’s only cycle 1, took 11 months to conceive DD 11 years ago. I had my coil our beginning of December, we are hoping it doesn’t take as long this time but with me being 35 and DH being 42 so who knows when/if it’s going to happen.

Moonshine160 · 09/01/2022 18:49

Hi, I’m 4 or 5 DPO too.
This is cycle 4 of TTC#2. We conceived our DS (he’s nearly 3) on the first cycle so I naively assumed this time would be just as easy but it’s not and I’ve got myself in quite a negative mindset assuming that something must be wrong.

beanchopper17 · 09/01/2022 19:16

@YEN1 @Moonshine160

Oh I feel you not trying to symptom spot, every bit of tramped wind like ooooo it could be! 🤦🏼‍♀️🙈😂

I hear many times about the 2nd time ttc can be frustrating especially if the first was a quick conception.

Bit more info about my 'journey' 37 this year, been trying for our first for over 10years. Can't have investigation/medical help due to my BMI 🤦🏼‍♀️ trying to lose weight under pressure never ends well!
I also have PCOS and underactive thyroid, so I am on a few prescribed meds and a longgggg list of supplements that I take due to research to improve insulin resistance.
I did manage to fall pregnant may 2018 sadly had a miscarriage at 7 weeks and last cycle I think I had a chemical (period was 4days late and very faint lines).

I still try to be hopeful, but the thought of being an older mum scares me (am I too set in my ways, will I have the energy etc) but the need to be a mum is winning at the moment!

Hi, I'm 5dpo today. I've had two back to back chemicals the last two months which threw my cycle off a bit this month. I have 1 DD who took a while to conceive so we were really surprised it happened quickly for us but sadly ended in loss.

I'm keeping everything crossed. I'm 37. @beanchopper17 you find the energy from somewhere being a more mature mum don't worry!

TinyDancer91 · 09/01/2022 22:41

Hi!

I am also 4/5 dpo, but TTC #1 and this is our first cycle. The TWW is already feeling like a lifetime but I've convinced myself it won't happen this time. Just want the TWW to be over so we can start trying on cycle 2!

YEN1 · 10/01/2022 08:52

Well 6dpo for me today. I had a dream last night that I was pregnant with a baby boy, my mind is playing tricks on me.

How is everyone feeling today, anything new for the symptom spotters? I keep touching my boobs to see if they are sore but nothing lol.

Salamander91 · 10/01/2022 09:27

I'm 4dpo today :) we started trying in June 2019 and had a mmc in jan 2020. My cycles went crazy after my mc because of PCOS so we were NTNP for a while but my cycles became more regular a few months ago so we're full on trying again now. I ovulated a little earlier this month but we managed to dtd a couple of times. I have no hope after ttc for so long to be honest but it at least makes the tww less stressful Grin

FlyOnTheWall89 · 10/01/2022 09:59

Hi guys - I'm 5DPO ish I think.... cycle 9 TTC baby #1. Chemical in September. Like joining a thread where we are all in the TWW! X

justanotherlaura · 10/01/2022 11:53

Hi, I'm 2dpo after a chemical pregnancy last month. I didn't get negative tests until 12 days after my first bfp so I had enough time to start to think this really was going to be the one that worked. Pretty gutting as I started bleeding on Xmas Eve. Hoping to be one of those that gets another bfp before next period but really trying to stop myself from symptom spotting, this is going to be a long 2 weeks!

YEN1 · 11/01/2022 07:19

Day 7 for me, halfway! How is everyone feeling? I’m not really seeing any symptoms, I am tired but that’s nothing new lol.

SGChome20 · 11/01/2022 09:07

@YEN1 we are at the same stage. I don't have any feelings this time one way or the other. I started getting mild cramps around this time last month so I'm hoping for the same again over the next few days. I find the TWW really annoying just because of the not knowing. It's the lack of control you have over it and the impatience of wanting to know bit just having to wait! I liken it to waiting for exam results but the stakes are higher!

SGChome20 · 11/01/2022 09:09

What apps does everyone use for tracking? I always used Ovia but found fertility friend from someone on here and I much prefer that for the charts.

FlyOnTheWall89 · 11/01/2022 09:17

I have very achy teeth. I'm not sure if it is from grinding at night but they don't usually feel like this. I've done some googling - fingers crossed it is a sign! @SGChome20 Ive used natural cycles for prevention and now pregnancy. It is very good, super clear etc. I have an AVA now, so it's really a back up app these days, but it is worth trying if you want to temp. If you don't, Flo also worked for me for recording / notes / predicted ovulation etc x

YEN1 · 11/01/2022 09:38

@SGChome20 I’m using the Femometer app, only because they are the OPK I use. I am so impatient, when I want something I want it yesterday so the tww is torture.

@FlyOnTheWall89 fingers crossed that achy teeth is a good sign for you.

When is everyone planning to test?

FlyOnTheWall89 · 11/01/2022 09:42

@YEN1 I'll probably wait until the day before my period is due. I don't like trying to squint - maybe I will do an earlier one if I have any other symptoms in the next 3/4 days. X

SGChome20 · 11/01/2022 10:50

I don't really know when my period is due this month because of a late ovulation so I'm going to try and wait till 12dpo which will be Sunday.

beanchopper17 · 11/01/2022 15:45

@SGChome20 I use glow, clue and FF app, I like them all for different reasons 😂

How are we all? 6dpo and feels like it's going so slow. No symptoms (I am trying not to over think every twinge/cramp).

OP posts:
Salamander91 · 11/01/2022 18:53

I use femometer too but I don't do bbt or anything so it's just for basic tracking.

I'll probably start testing on saturday at 9dpo. I have no patience Grin No symptoms here but I'm only 5dpo and don't tend to get a lot of pregnancy symptoms anyway.

beanchopper17 · 11/01/2022 21:34

@Salamander91 I will probably test Saturday too (10dpo) as I have no self control 😂 even though my chances are thinner than normal but I know I won't be able to resist

YEN1 · 12/01/2022 11:06

8dpo today abs feeling pretty down at the lack of any symptoms, I know it’s early but can’t help feeling there would be some symptoms now if this was our month.

SGChome20 · 12/01/2022 16:36

I'm 8dpo today and having some mild cramps but honestly sometimes I think I imagine symptoms or it's the way I'm sitting at my desk all day! How's everyone else doing? I am get more impatient the closer it gets to AF being due

beanchopper17 · 12/01/2022 17:47

Nothing going here, but I am only 7dpo 🤞🏻

I have just had a sad realisation, my sister-in-law gave birth on the 9th Jan (I have some history with her that would be too long to go into), and my husband has booked us a hotel to go to London to meet the new baby next week . . .

We go the day my period is due 😫🙈🤦🏼‍♀️

I know I should be happy for her and to meet our new niece, but I struggle so hard! I am in counselling for my infertility but I still find seeing people pregnant/newborns really raw emotionally. I see a lot of tears in my future 😭

OP posts:
SGChome20 · 12/01/2022 20:12

@beanchopper17 that will be hard, especially when there is a bit of history between you both. Yeah hope they're not the type to ask you 'when will you have kids' people, they are the worst!!

beanchopper17 · 12/01/2022 21:45

@SGChome20 kinda, she is the kinda person that just doesn't understand the struggle, she's had it very easy. Both her children she fell pregnant first time trying, smooth pregnancies ( I only know as she has been VERY honest about it all, verging on bragging).
She has said in the past 'if you want kids just get pregnant, what's the big deal'
Then there's me sat there trying over 10years trying not to rip her eyes out 🙈 that word 'just' undervalues how much effort some people have to put into ttc.

Some people will just never get how it can wear you down and saying the following helps no one -

Just take a break
If it's meant to be it will be
Don't stress about it
Children aren't really worth all this stressing about
Your so lucky you don't have kids (you have freedom, you can do what you want blah blah)
The one I hear a million times - well my friend Jenny's sister did x y x and poof pregnant, have you thought about trying that?

I am very aware children aren't easy but that's the hardest to hear that we are the lucky ones cause we don't. This isn't a choice.

Rant over 😂 luckily I have an amazing husband who has learnt to understand my emotional rollercoaster.
