@chasingtherainbow1 did they advise you go in to epu? I phoned mine and they didn't ask me. Just put me on progesterone. Just thinking should I be doing that too lol?

@jazmine38 no cramps, the odd twinge but not sore or crampy.... should I be? 😩 flip I hate all this. Having miscarriages just takes away to excitement!

lakejupiter · 12/01/2022 13:30

Congratulations @Hopingforarainbow27 @jazmine38 @chasingtherainbow1 so so so exciting!!!

I'm officially finally 1DPO after getting my ovulation date wrong - it came late this month. My Flo app adjusted my predicted AF by two days bc my ovulation was delayed by two days but the Ovia app kept it the same. I have no real experience with late ovulation so not sure if Af will be affected by it, just praying that the swimmers from this weekend were still hanging about when I finally did O. Has anyone found a difference between the reliability of Flo and Ovia?

jazmine38 · 12/01/2022 13:31

I don't think cramps are ever a good thing. I miscarried at 8 weeks in April so I get how it's all so stressful @Hopingforarainbow27

Also congratulations @chasingtherainbow1 I'm all past myself I don't think I congratulated earlier xx

Shortmamashortcycles · 12/01/2022 13:35

@jazmine38, cramps can be totally normal, please don't stress. There's a wide range of normal in early pregnancy! So neither @Hopingforarainbow27 nor you should worry about having or not having them.

Sending you both all the sticky baby dust I can...

Natalie2304 · 12/01/2022 13:39

@Hopingforarainbow27 the darker the line just means more HCG is present but every woman and even each pregnancy a woman has can vary massively on how much HCG is produced. I've attached a photo of something I found when I was pregnant with my DD. I had a lot of irregular bleeding in the first 12 weeks so had a lot of bloods done and luckily I was always in the range.

@lakejupiter I don't know if this helps but I ovulated late this month due to covid and it made my AF come later. I read somewhere that LP stays the same so if you ovulate early you will be due AF earlier and same for late. Hope that clears it up a bit for you

Hoping to get our BFPs in January ✨
lakejupiter · 12/01/2022 13:47

@Natalie2304 thank you that's helpful! I think the impatient part of me was hoping my AF would still be due on the same day as usual but it's better to still have a 14 day luteal phase I guess. I think both covid and jabs can affect cycles and I had my booster at the end of my previous cycle so makes sense that my ovulation was slightly later, just frustrating as I was sure I was ovulating this weekend when we inseminated but my OPK didn't turn positive until Monday when it was too late to see my coparent again this cycle 😤

Natalie2304 · 12/01/2022 13:49

@lakejupiter bloody covid! Hopefully if you got your peak on Monday there's still a chance if the insemination was at weekend. Keeping everything crossed for you 🤞🏻

lakejupiter · 12/01/2022 13:51

Thanks @Natalie2304 yes we inseminated Friday Saturday Sunday then I got my peak on Monday. Not ideal and very frustrating for the anxious planner in me but that's TTC life I guess 😤

Decaffe · 12/01/2022 13:54

@Decaffe

Morning all! Sorry I was quiet yesterday, I had a banging headache all day and took myself to bed in the afternoon, where I slept for two hours which is absolutely unlike me as I can never sleep in the day!

Story so far - 8dpo faint maybe line maybe indent on FRER, as posted up thread. 9dpo FRER was pretty much blank.

This morning, 10dpo, another faint maybe line. It (whatever it is) appeared after one minute, whereas 8dpo was after three. I am sure it has some pink to it in real life, but I am so confused. If it is real then why was yesterday’s clear? And why is the progression from 8 to 10 so minute?

So essentially I’m feeling none the wiser and as if I’m just weeing on bank notes ConfusedGrin

Off to make a cuppa then I’ll have a catch up on the many posts! Brew

I’ve just gone back to look at these tests (I kept them). There’s now a clear pink line on both of them and they look very much like the tests from when I had my chemical in October. Sad

@Hopingforarainbow27 no I don't think you need to be on the injections. I'm on them because of a previous blood clot so it means I'm classed as high risk for a blood clot in pregnancy. I might ask about progesterone but it seems some places don't mind giving it out and others are dead against it until any bleeding happens.

@Decaffe my test was vv faint at 8DPO. It's really early to be getting a line at all. Could you take one today or tomorrow?

contagioushippie · 12/01/2022 14:19

12 DPO I thought I saw a hint of something but it probably is just my eyes. No sign of AF. I am thinking of getting acupuncture this month after AF comes

Hoping to get our BFPs in January ✨
AmberRH1993 · 12/01/2022 14:21

Oh wow what an exciting turn of events on the thread to catch up with... Congratulations on the bfps ladies 🎉

I've been away waiting for my fertile window but got this opk this morning... Is it a positive or not quite yet?

Apps suggest ovu for tomorrow.

Thanks in advance I'm new to opks this time around ttc.

Hoping to get our BFPs in January ✨
Hopingforarainbow27 · 12/01/2022 14:22

@chasingtherainbow1 I know I hope I'm doing the right thing taking it. I'm just going by what the midwife said. She said it's a stab in the dark. It's hard to know what the right thing is

Natalie2304 · 12/01/2022 14:37

@AmberRH1993 are you using the Premom app? It tells you if an OPK is positive and I found it really helpful

ttcbabya · 12/01/2022 14:38

@Hopingforarainbow27 what a lovely dark line!!! Congratulations sweetie 💕💕💕

chasingtherainbow1 · 12/01/2022 14:39

@Hopingforarainbow27 I don't think it can do any harm tbh. I'll take it if they offer it to me. I think they just worry that it hides a natural miscarriage but I'd rather take it and deal with that than not take it and wonder what if.

Just trying to figure out how many weeks. If you know ovulation day do you count back 2 weeks from there or do we go with first day of last period? God the days go slow when your wanting 12 weeks to come fast 😂

Hopingforarainbow27 · 12/01/2022 14:42

@chasingtherainbow1 yes it's the what ifs! I've started baby aspirin too as I heard ppl take it.

I've went from first day of last period

Hopingforarainbow27 · 12/01/2022 14:43

@chasingtherainbow1 I've got an appt in 2 weeks for a scan and will have scans every two weeks until 12 weeks because of the losses

AmberRH1993 · 12/01/2022 14:43
@AmberRH1993 are you using the Premom app? It tells you if an OPK is positive and I found it really helpful
@natalie2304 yes I am, its showing a high reading but not peak...

Hoping to get our BFPs in January ✨
Natalie2304 · 12/01/2022 14:48

Im no expert but id advise to do another in the morning. I expect it will either show a peak or show that this afternoons was a peak.
This cycle it said my peak was 0.84 but then the next day i had a darker line which then dropped off and it changed my peak. I think after a few months of using it, it works out how dark your lines tend to get xx

Natalie2304 · 12/01/2022 14:50

@chasingtherainbow1 the NHS use the first day of your last period to start counting weeks, so effectively if you found out you are pregnant on CD 28 you're already 4 weeks. Hope that makes sense xx

chasingtherainbow1 · 12/01/2022 14:53

@Hopingforarainbow27 that's good that you have scans booked in. My GP said I can have one at 6 weeks so might try and get that sorted today at the EPU. God they're going to hate me with all the requests.

@Natalie2304 thanks for that. I'm CD 27 today so that's just shy of 4 weeks.

kizzy97 · 12/01/2022 15:04

Af due Friday and no signs of her coming yet (usually spot days before and no spotting as of yet) feeling extremely sick today and hacing some cramping, not like my af ones though and a heavy dragging feeling when I'm stood up mostly. Starting to get my hopes up despite trying so hard not to and too scared to take a test. At the same time probably going to have jinxed myself posting on here now 😅

Purple29 · 12/01/2022 15:06

@chasingtherainbow1 don't ever think they're going to hate you for calling. They don't!!! When I was in hospital with DS they told me if I ever had another they would expect to see or hear from me a lot. (Went into spontaneous labour at 30 weeks) so they expect me to be a little anxious, but they all reassured me and said that fine. They are happy to speak about anything I'm feeling or to see me for a check if I was worried. They want people to call if they have any concerns so please don't think they'll hate you!!!

AmberRH1993 · 12/01/2022 15:14

Thanks @natalie2304 I'm due to do one at 8pm so we shall see how it unfolds. OH has just come home with a migraine so fingers crossed i peak tomorrow not to miss the chance 😩
