Yes @Purple29 it took me a while to mentally recover, for me the removal of the tube just broke me and because it was an unplanned pregnancy which I was actually going to terminate due to it being just the complete wrong time for so many reasons, it almost felt like a punishment.

I’ve just remembered, after you saying about HCG levels… my period was about 8weeks after ectopic. My HCG took a while to come down, had bloods done at 4-5weeks post and they were still raised a bit, by 6weeks were less than 5. And period came a couple of weeks later

madeleine85 · 07/01/2022 17:15

@MummyMe87 and @Purple29 I am so sorry for your losses, that is truly horrible to go through. A thing popped up on my buzzfeed last night about a misscarriage at 11 weeks that woudn't just "leave" and it really brought home how traumatic these experiences can be. As most people are in pain they don't talk about it, and it isn't well known what happens/what people go through. Until recently I didn't realise that an ectopic could result in a lost tube, which is shocking to not know. Sending all the love for a quick, mentally healthy (as can be) healing process for you both, and to a positive TTC conception/pregnancy journey this time around x

kizzy97 · 07/01/2022 17:25

@Hopingforarainbow27 ahh, everything crossed! My cycle tends to be a regular 28 days even though I can sometime ovulate earlier by a few days that I'm noticing.

@Tinkerbell098 I'm getting entirely different symptoms this month, been getting excess ewcm atm and had mild spotting on Tuesday! I'm currently 8dpo according to my app but I'm pretty sure I actually ovulated 27th of December which would make me 11dpo. AF is meant to be due 14th! Hopefully this is our month!

@RosyappleA glad to have made you chuckle 😂 honestly though is drive is normally tons higher than mine! Thought he'd be ecstatic! 😂

MyloC · 07/01/2022 17:25

@Tinkerbell098 Your post is heartbreaking to read. You have every right to be upset. Glad you and your DH feel more connected and I really pray your BFP is very soon.

@Decaffe How are you getting on?

@CJB92 That is crazy your DHs test is also positive. Really awful getting people's hopes up like that.

@Purple29 @MummyMe87 Baby dust to both of you.

I hope it's ok if I hang around here. Don't feel quite ready to fully join the Pregnancy boards just incase!

Mummy202102 · 07/01/2022 18:15

Hey guys so I’m 3 dpo and getting brown discharge. I know it’s silly of me to think as it’s far too early however usually it’s white. It could be something else too but has this happend to anyone before?

CJB92 · 07/01/2022 18:29

Hi ladies
I've been feeling a bit crap since this morning, so I've not checked on here all day. @MyloC Yeah it's very strange, which gives me little hope regarding my own test. My pink dye test has always been positive until today its barely visible. I'd been holding out hope and now I feel like I have none left.

Everyday there's something weird happening. I had a dream I was pregnant, every TV programme we have watched, has included some storyline of a woman giving birth and another woman struggling to conceive, and now another thinking they are pregnant and testing. Even the radio came up with childcare ads. But now I feel deflated. Since my opks have been high (almost positive but not quite) for 7 days now, DH and I have been did every other day just incase.

Someone on here mentioned a fertility cup, so might invest in one. Really hoping if this hasn't stuck and is indeed chemical, then I'm hoping I'll be more fertile for next time. 5 years ttc baby number 1, with 4 mc/chem and its getting hard holding out hope sometimes. Sorry for such a down post.

Fx for all of you ladies and getting your bfp.❤

madeleine85 · 07/01/2022 18:41

@CJB92 I hope you are ok. I didn't realise that you had been going through this for so long/had previous losses. Have you been/are you interested in going to your GP to get referred for fertility checks? Also, is there anyone you would talk to/get a therapy session for all this? You essentially have lost 4 babies, and that is so much for anyone to go through. Sending all the virtual hugs your way, no one should have to go through what you are x

contagioushippie · 07/01/2022 18:54

Checking in at 7 DPO today, haven't really had symptoms other than just a fullness in the lower belly... but could just be bloating really.

SkaterChick · 07/01/2022 19:02

So I'm 9/10 dpo (I think 11 post opk peak) and just got this! Going to use frer with fmu tomorrow to hopefully confirm.
Very anxious though as I've had lots of left side pain and I had a suspected eptopic on the left side the cycle before last so it makes me nervous!
P.s why are preg tests the hardest thing in the world to photograph 🤣🤣

Hoping to get our BFPs in January ✨
arianasky · 07/01/2022 19:19

@CJB92 I'm so sorry about your previous losses, and it's completely understandable you feeling down 😞 I'm thinking of you 💕

madeleine85 · 07/01/2022 19:21

@SkaterChick tentative congratulations to you!! I see that one :) Fingers crossed for a nice line progression. Also day 9/10 tests are nearly impossible to photograph lol. Once it is confirmed can you call a dr to get an early check in case ectopic? Though fingers crossed this would not be.

CJB92 · 07/01/2022 19:24

@madeleine85
Thank you ❤ it really has been a long journey, and I didn't think I would still be ttc no.1 still! Unfortunately I'm still fighting for investigations really. My GP referred me to a Gynae who was really quite rude and he wasn't really interested in helping me much. He said he will do some bloods but if they come back fine he will discharge me and do no more, this was at the beginning of covid so I never even got the bloodwork done. Although I have seen my bloods before and tests done and they seem okay, only my progesterone is a bit low. But GP said the only way I would get that is by making it to a 6 or 8 week scan for them to confirm pregnancy via scan then prescribe it. Trouble is I told them I never get to the scan before I miscarry. My GP said once before it looked like I hadn't ovulated one month, and I mentioned to her how my mum had to have clomid to conceive me and my brother as it took her 4 years for him and 5 years for me. My grandmother was the same with fertility issues. Unfortunately as my BMI is a bit out of the limit of what it should be for someone my tiny height I am not entitled to any help until I'm perfect weight.

My husband is really understanding but he wants to be a Dad so much, and we are strong for eachother.

Thank you so much for being so kind ❤

CJB92 · 07/01/2022 19:27

@arianasky thank you ❤ hoping to get there eventually. I just turned 29 and felt awful, that I am almost 30 and I thought I'd have at least one child by now. Really hoping 2022 will be our year! Hopefully we all have 2022 as our year!

SkaterChick · 07/01/2022 19:35

@madeleine85 the EPU told me when the discharged me after the suspected eptopic to call them as soon as I'm 6 weeks and they'll have me in for a scan then. But it's going to be an anxious couple of weeks, they won't see me before then because they can't see anything before that I think.

Bringonbaby3 · 07/01/2022 19:48

Just catching up! Sorry to those who have experienced losses. It’s a really hard journey.

Congratulations on another BFP @SkaterChick. I feel there has been quite a lot on the group already considering it is only 7th Jan?!

So tomorrow is my testing day on the calendar! I will be 8/9dpo so not expecting much but I have had a few symptoms - some nausea and more gas! I’ve had these feelings in previous pregnancies. Also got less PMS type symptoms than normal (breast pain, lots of mucus). So have a small glimmer of hope! It’s cycle 1 for me though so I’m not really expecting it to happen straight away. Plus I’ve had chemicals before so even if it was I don’t think I would trust it until another week…

MummyMe87 · 07/01/2022 19:51

@SkaterChick I would be in co tact a bit earlier than 6wks. I had a ruptured ectopic at 5weeks and they could see on scan. One of the consultants at work (I’m a midwife) told me as soon as I get a positive pregnancy test i should get a scan booked in

SkaterChick · 07/01/2022 20:01

@MummyMe87oh I'm so sorry you had to go through that. I was so so grateful that mine was only a suspected eptopic and everything passed naturally. But what concerns me is that they said there was a small 'mass' near my left ovary that looked like a suspected eptopic but as my bleeding stopped and hormone's went back to zero they wouldn't rescan me to check it had gone. I've had left sided cramps the past week which makes me extremely anxious.
I think i will call them Monday (they're not open weekends) and try to get something booked in asap.

madeleine85 · 07/01/2022 20:05

@SkaterChick I had bloods drawn at 4 +1 and 4+3 and the doctor told me that they are usually able to get an indication if it is ectopic at that stage as the bloods don't quite double/are slower. Maybe that is an earlier option at least to help give you peace of mind.

@CJB92 that is a tough situation and it sounds like you have had some rotten medical help through just bad luck with your local GP/covid. I found another mumsnet group when I started the TTC journey, I thought it was for everyone TTC after being on the pill, but it ended up being a group for people who are TTC but have had MCs/long journeys/are getting IVF/trying to start fertility treatments. The people on it are lovely, and they would definitely have ideas of who to approach to ask for help/how to request treatment/investigations. On the upside, you are young! I'm 36 and didn't have our first till 35, fertility doesn't really decline until after 40 per my GP, so you have a lot of time, but I understand how much you must want this after so long TTC. Wishing you the very best of luck for 2022, and hoping that is is your year x

Lils25 · 07/01/2022 20:22

@BabyBird20 Just skimming through and saw your post about clomid. I had 4 rounds and then a BFP a few years ago. I had to go through the fertility clinic at the hospital to get the prescription and each cycle consisted of a blood test to check progesterone, at least 1 scan to check follicle growth and then taking the tablets during a few days of each period. It was quite regimented but after adjusting the dose, it worked for me and I now have my DS. Good luck to you

CJB92 · 07/01/2022 20:23

@madeleine85 thank you, I'll check out that group for sure! Hoping 2022 is the year for us all! Myself and DH have been talking about when we draw the line, when do we start looking for other options. Unfortunately IVF is a postcode lottery and not something we could afford privately either. So not sure what we would do. Sometimes I try to pretend I'll be okay if I don't ever have children but I know I wouldn't. There's a hole already waiting for a Child to fill it. So fx this year works out for us all! X

SkaterChick · 07/01/2022 20:25

@madeleine85 thank you that's really good information to have. I will also call my drs Monday and see what they say if I get confirmation from my frer

madeleine85 · 07/01/2022 20:31

@CJB92 I totally understand why IVF may not be an option. Honestly, I always said if I couldn't do it naturally I would want to adopt. Personally, I feel like IVF is too invasive, and doesn't work a significant portion of the time. My husband had an operation when he was a child and was told to expect not to have children, and I have an eating disorder past, so we really didn't think it would be an option for us to even have naturally, which is why we talked all this through. I feel like in the age of IVF, there must be a lot less interest in adoption/fostering, which makes me feel sad for the children out there waiting for their forever home. One of my best friends is adopted, seeing her success story really made me want to do it that way if we couldn't have natural pregnancies. On the other side, there is apparently also a whole range of options available which are not IVF and do help conception, but the other group knows so much more about that. Hoping that you find the best possible solution for you and your partner in 2022 x

CJB92 · 07/01/2022 20:35

@madeleine85 we have had the same feelings regarding IVF that the success rate isn't great for first try, and it's so costly to do it once, let alone more than once. We have also spoke about adoption and I've looked a little into it but I cant find much in depth information about it, but i know the process can be long. We would have loved a baby, and to experience that stage in a child but I know adopting a baby is often rare as I have only really seen it to be children from toddler age upwards. But if we don't conceive in the next 2 years I think maybe we may explore that option then. Fx for us all. ❤

BabyBird20 · 07/01/2022 21:41

@Lils25 thanks for the info, I didn't know they did the bloods and scans with the clomid so that's good to know. They prescribed it for me after investigations last time but I ended up magically pregnant that cycle so never actually took it. I think if I don't get pregnant by March I'll try and get a prescription underway to help.

@madeleine85 @AmberRH1993 @HMFx after your advice yday I did more opks today and got a proper peak on premom app and a static smiley! Was v excited as had convinced myself I wasn't going to ovulate this month! Didn't manage to dtd yesterday but did the day before and today and will try again tomo so hopefully will be in with a chance.
