Anyone due to get BFP/AF at Xmas?

The pressure is on... in the TWW and AF is due right around Xmas. Spending the holidays with my in laws, and both wanting to drink through the holidays/not drink as in the TWW. I’m also dreading a little bit of feeling down if I get AF right at Xmas. If anyone is looking for a TWW companion/obsessor here I am ☺️. @oldermam - those symptoms sound tough!! Still early for a BFP so fingers crossed for a few days time.

@madeleine85 - same as me with the packing both tampons and pregnancy tests 😂 Not sure which I’ll need yet.

@Chasingrainbows1518 - so restrained with the testing, well done. I’m testing from 10dpo as I am planning on a couple of drinks over the Christmas period so would like to know early if possible!!

Still zero symptoms here, 8dpo. When I had my BFP in October (ended in an early MC) in the TWW I had constipation, heartburn, bloating, the lot! Nothing this cycle… so pretty sure I’m out but let’s see. 🌟

With my youngest (now ten) I was admitted for dehydration by 4 weeks pregnant. Remind me again why I'm doing all this over 🙈

Morning ladies! I took a frer this morning, I'm 9dpo. I took the test, put in my room, and went for my shower. I looked at it after my shower and there is the faintest line on it. Is it an evap? Second time in my life taking a frer so no real experience with them. There was definitely at least 10 to 15 minutes before I looked at it. It's hard to get a picture of it, but it's definitely there. What do you guys think? I took a cheapie after but totally it's blank.

@Pinkyflipflops there is defo a line …. Really hard to tell if it has colour…. That is the best way to tell between an evap or a positive. It needs to be pink. I would try again tomorrow morning, but could be the start of something. When I’ve used them and got BFN, it is totally sheet white… absolutely nothing visible. Fingers crossed for you xx

Thank you @FlyOnTheWall89 thank you. I also usually get totally white tests but I never use frer and I've seen a lot of posts on mumsnet about evaporation lines on them so I'm quite skeptical. I dont have any other frer, do supermarkets sell them ? Or sensitive tests?

Supermarkets sell them, they tend to be more expensive, or pharmacies will have them too. I got the clear blue ultra early and def blank for first 10 minutes then a very clear line which I'm presuming it is a evap line

Another BFN dpo11 today, still most symptoms I've had since tTC, but I've never been pregnant to who knows. Decide I'm going to test daily until AF arrives. Reassuring to know I'm not the only one drive crazy by tww

My AF is due Christmas Day, ovulated late so only on day 7 today but driving myself mad feeling like I’ve all the pms symptoms creeping up. Good luck to you all hopefully we see some BFP this month 🤞🏻

11dpo for me, BFN, had some blood in my cm today too so think I'm gearing up for AF which is due tomorrow.

@Pinkyflipflops I see it and it looks earily similar to this... I woke up convinced that I wasn't pregnant, and that the symptoms are lessening/going away. Petrified that this is a chemical or that it won't stick. Also who knows, it was a FRER, but maybe it was wrong. I could see the line in the right light after about 8 mins of waiting. Any thoughts anyone? Going to upload separately from my phone...

Line eyes analysts lmk what you think please. Trying to not get excited, but I’m losing my mind. I’m also in a hotel with horrible lighting, creeping around in the dark as my husband is asleep with our 2 year old 😂😂😂

Forgot to say before I'm 10 dpo today. And oops all the same photo... i'm technologically inept/impatient.

@AmberRH1993 not sure if I see it, but after trying myself, I know that they don't pick up well on camera. try taking the picture on your phone and playing with the contrast/brightness? I did that and it was really there/got darker along with the other line, not my imagination so maybe that will help?

Thanks Ladies! @AmberRH1993 this was my first test, I was holding out for double digits DPO to test. I think i'll test again in 2 days... I say that now knowing full well that I will obsessively test tomorrow too when AF is due. I am paranoid it is going to start tomorrow. In the past 2 months i've had cramping for the whole 2ww, but this time it was very specifically from 4DPO to 7DPO then started to go away. Since then i've had a dull cramp in my lower back though that is going away today and on 8-9DPO I had the weirdest tingling in my nipples/sensitivity to the cold. It felt like the feeling at the start of every breastfeeding session with my DD. I definitely didn't have that as a symptom with her though. Aside from that, my major one was reduced hair loss when showering/drying my hair. I know this happened with my DD too, but I had just moved to a new city then and thought it was different water making my hair better lol. That to me was the real tip off that something hormonally was different.

This time around I threw the book at the pregnancy issue. for the last 2 months I took COQ10/prenatal vitamins and this month EPO (when ok to take). I also took an extra vitamin B6 and Vit C during the 2WW this time so not sure that did anything with such little time. Also used preseed and a menstrual disc after DTD to keep the swimmers in till morning. Ate a little pineapple a few days at the start of the 2WW. We were horrifically sick though during the FW so I really thought I had no chance. We barely DTD, and it was a half attempt when we did. It might be a false positive though so trying to contain myself until tomorrow AM.

Hoping you all get the BFP/progressions!! I'll no doubt report back with more crazy :)

I went out with the dog and when I came back my DH had found the test sitting out and was like yeah its negative so next month. I had to show him the line, and then he was like ok so we wait a few days and test again. He is so calm!! Then was like ok I guess i'm drinking your wine advent calendar. Men!!

@Pinkyflipflops it is still very faint and that is under the best light. When I found out about DD we were 5 weeks in and the huge dark positive was there before I had even stopped peeing, so I don't feel hugely confident in this as it took 8-10 mins to reach a very faint line. Scared of the evaps though too. Will keep testing in the mornings and will see. Urghhhh now i'm going to be paranoid every day until xmas when I really am late, if I even make it that far.

Sickness is somewhat milder tonight. Still got a yucky taste. Still got sore boobs. Oh can't even touch them much to his disappointment 😂

I do have cramps tonight like AF is coming, I suspect I'll be in Tesco on Xmas eve stocking up on wine. I have tests ready to go Xmas eve.. baffling with my symptoms! Unless I ov later. Who knows.

My partner intercepted the amazon man and opened the parcel containing the FRER not knowing I had ordered them or was even testing at this stage 🙈
He was excited and wanted to test so I did one and I'm sure I can see a faint line whereas his man eyes said its completely blank and I've lost the plot - coming from the same person who can't see things in front of him when looking for them.

Maybe an evap?? but so hard to capture a picture
