Hi there, i am the same DD is 3 in April and I keep thinking if this ever happens the age gap will be huge. I regret waiting so long as i very wrongly assumed you get pregnant straight away and secondly that miscarriages just won’t happen to me! So i wish we decided trying before we actually wanted the baby date wise and i advise that to everyone now as you never know.
Trying now since after first week of October when i miscarried. But my attempts have been poor, life just keeps getting in the way, e.g. thrush, UTI, exhaustion, being away from home and more importantly the fun is gone so the sex is not great even when it does happen. Feels like a job. Now I just found out in my next fertile window I have lots of family i haven't seen in a decade coming over too which I will need to make time for. Just great really.
I am going to ditch the OPKs, ditch reading so much detail about when and how to do the deed and actually plan some quality time together so we can dress up and get away from the stress so we enjoy it again. And I miss my coffee and wine so I will be having those again in copious amounts. I have turned into a ttc rebel!
Will let everyone know how this relaxed rebel approach goes, I will get the OPKs out again in March but til then some much needed TLC. Evening primrose oil i will continue as i feel it has increased my cervical mucus, who knows.

Well, shit.
The dude has just tested positive for COVID (but is symptom free, he does pcrs for work weekly) and I'm either having a reaction to my booster or caught a nasty cold (or its COVID, PCR results coming soon)
Pretty sure I haven't had my peak yet (no usual symptoms, no sign of ewcm and no lines on the opks other than the odd faint line here and there)
So if I don't get better/he gets symptoms don't think we'll be DTD much this cycle grrr

At least I managed to get a big shop in before his positive test. I'll now just stay in the house as my work told me they don't want me in until I have my pcr results.

Please can I join?

Hi ladies! Jumping on board after a late af got my hopes up for a December BFP for a few days there She's here with a vengeance now so on to cd1 for me. My biggest fear this month is I may not even ovulate as pre baby 1 I had fertility investigations and have pcos so they think I probably only ovulate every other month. I'll be using the cb opks again but wondering if you can have the peak smiley on them if you don't ovulate? Does anyone know?

So much this! Toddler illness after toddler illness, we all had gastroenteritis, work stress, constant bloody Covid testing… TTC number one we’d do it every other day. This month we managed it once, four days before ovulation

@ttcbabya same I normally start about 9/10 dpo but I'm going to try and wait until about 12dpo this month, ladies can you add me to the testing list for 2nd Jan please? I'm useless and have no clue how to do it, sorry

@RosyappleA I agree with that, I wish we hadn’t have waited so long to start trying. I also did so thinking we’d get pregnant straight away like before and we haven’t. Our wedding got postponed by over a year because of covid but I wish that hadn’t stopped us from still trying. I have recurrent thrush so I think that gets in the way of TTC, I’ve read that it shouldn’t affect conception but it certainly makes it uncomfortable. I’m also ditching OPKs this month and trying to take a more relaxed approach, although I’ve never felt more stressed about it tbh! Definitely treat yourself over Christmas, and sending you lots of positivity and baby dust for 2022.

@weddingdressregrett welcome!! Am a similar age and also on cycle #2 of ttc. It's a whole new world and an emotional roller coaster isn't it?! I learned the hard way in cycle #1 not to completely obsess over the symptoms because I totally convinced myself I was and then I wasn't, so realllly trying to more zen approach this time ✌️🙏

@Moonshine160 @RosyappleA sending you both so much love and babydust, it all sounds really difficult. I've put it off for years and now that I'm ttc I'm finding it hard not to regret waiting, because I guess we wait until the timing is perfect - but then of course it could take ages. What a palava!! Really hope it happens for you both very soon xxx

I've never tested before as I just wait for my period to be late (which it never has!). But it's due on the 8th Jan so I guess I'll be testing then if it doesnt show up!

@Moonshine160 ah sorry probably wrote it wrong (new to this!). I'm trying to conceive baby #1 and am on cycle #2 of ttc. I have a weird situation where DH is going to a zika zone in Jan so if I don't conceive this cycle I have to pause trying til May (post zika exposure delay), so you can take my 'zen vibes' with a mahoosive pinch of salt 😅😅 that's why I got so worked up last cycle when I was unsuccessful, there's a lotttt of pressure on this cycle. I'm just really trying to keep reminding myself that the odds are not in my favour and I'm more likely not to conceive to try and stop myself going totally crazy!!

I'm glad it's Xmas at least, a welcome distraction 😅 I think we should all focus in eating, drinking and being merry

@BiscuitLover3678 haha well this is only cycle 6 off the pill and first cycle properly trying so maybe I will cave in another 6 months but I dont see the point in early testing. Early response tests are so expensive and if I know earlier than a missed period then I have to give up all the good stuff earlier (like booze and cheese lol) I'd rather leave it as late as possible, I think they used to say wait until you have missed 2 periods!
