OK so I finally got my call Thursday. I asked about the frozen transfer process (it was supposed to be a fresh but my lining wasn't good enough - I got told immediately after egg collection, so was a bit of a shock).

I asked about the impact of this on my NHS 'one fresh, one frozen' rules, what they'll do to thicken my lining, why hadn't the issue with my lining been spotted earlier?

I didn't speak to a consultant but the nurse did and said I'll be doing another stims cycle, same protocol as before.. Which I thought was impossible given the 'one fresh, one frozen' rule. I questioned this and asked if she was sure. Obviously this would be amazing to try and get some 'better' embryos as the two we have don't have a great chance. She said she'd check with the consultant and call me back the day next (Friday). She didn't of course.

I've checked my hospital account and it has a load of drugs just prescribed, including menopur etc as well as some new stuff I've googled that looks like it's there for the lining.

So my hopes and well and truly up that we get another fresh crack at this and still have the two (not great) embryos in the freezer. I hope they don't call tomorrow and say 'oops yes sorry, we were wrong'?!?!

I start norethisterone on Wednesday I think.

Anyway, has anyone had an issue with their lining - what did you take/do?

So, I'm a bit confused ... I've been waiting for AF to show up this weekend, so I can book in for my pre IVF scan, I thought it would show up on Friday. I got a faint line today, but I don't really believe it, so I'm waiting a few days ... what do people think?
I have been on & off antibiotics this month for root canal treatment, so maybe my cycle is messed up? DH & I only BD once during my window and not with a positive opk, just EWCM.
Not sure what to think, I'm 3 months post lap (endo & internal scarring) & 1 month off IVF.

@Gracie2021 Soz, I realized you said @beckyCarlos & I might have similar cycles 🤦🏻‍♀️

@JeanieJ that's not even a faint line - if you did a frer now I reckon it would be really strong!!

@Juno231 I'll do one tomorrow if my hcg strips are positive tomorrow.
I've never had a 2nd line before, so I'm really shocked & paranoid it's a dud test or a chemical.

@Sofasogood1 that's amazing news. Hope you get it confirmed tomorrow. Great that you can hopefully keep your two banked embryos and have another shot at more. Keep us posted. I had issues with thin lining, mine usually sat about 6mm at the start and now I tend to get about 8mm trilinar which they're happy with. Not sure which of the below/if any did the trick but something worked.....
-baby aspirin
-vit e
-high dose omega 3
-acupuncture (not the first one I went to but the second changed my periods completely and I have great faith in him)
-heat pad on stomach for 20 mins twice a day up to ovulation (when doing IVF I put this on the lowest setting so it's just barely warm as I'm afraid of cooking the wee eggs😂😂)

Here waiting up to take my trigger. This is the latest I've been up in weeks 😂😂 last injection for a while. Woohoo. Nervous for Tuesday but keeping all my fingers crossed.

@JeanieJ those bloody things never show lines! I agree with the others! Looks good to me!

@jeaniej i say again, I dont even get ovulation tests that good! Take an expensive test tomorrow but its looking good! Wooooo! X

@Sofasogood1 that’s amazing if you can do another stims cycle! I followed @Gracie2021‘s advice for thickening lining too a couple of weeks ago and started taking high dose vit E (1000 iu from H&B) and having a blanket over my stomach and lower back at home. It seemed to work!

I knew it, I fucking knew it. A casual one line email this morning. 'I have confirmed that is a Frozen Embryo transfer you are having not another fresh cycle.'

Why are they so fucking incompetent? To not have a call back for three weeks, to be completely ignored, to finally getting a call with completely wrong information - and me asking if she's sure, to be told yes that's what the consultant said, to checking my prescription and all of the drugs for stims being there.

To a one line email, 'oops we fucked up again'. I shouldn't have posted- I knew the fuckers were wrong.

I can't believe it. 20 months ttc & one month away from starting IVF.
I'm really paranoid it'll go away. 😳
Definitely not saying anything to the clinic for a while.

@Sofasogood1 omg. That really is shocking. I would write a formal complaint to them. Talk about incompetent. 🤬 So will you get 2 frozen?

@JeanieJ I never find it triggering when one of us... who have struggled to conceive... get a positive test. In fact it fills me with the greatest joy and sense of hope. I'm really truly please for you x
