I think a different protocol sounds like a good plan. Remind me what yours was @Gracie2021? I’m sure you’ve told me this already 🙃

I have 10 or 11 growing on day 7. Back on Monday to see if they’re still growing!

I was 225 gonal F and 225 luveris @thislittlebird. Kinda scared they'll put me on long protocol to reset everything purely because more waiting but look if it works I won't care anyway..... Had myself half together and then my dad called to say he was sorry it didn't go well. Had to tell them cause we've been distancing in case of Covid. Text my mam this morning but didn't call because I knew if I talked about it I'd fall apart. He was so sweet and nice and now I'm a mess again and about to log into a big work call. Ugh. Anyway need to just get over it til this evening!

@Gracie2021 ah it’s crap, I’m sorry but falling apart is fine and you can do that as much as is required. LP will be more waiting but it’ll be worth it if it works. I might just keep my camera off in that situation lol

You’re still my cycle twin in spirit 😭. I’m just hoping these eggs are ok tbh, bricking it they’ll be crap or they won’t fertilise. This is our funded round, so the positive of it is if we need to go private at least we know what didn’t work I suppose. Anyway, hopefully we won’t need to but I’m nothing if I’m not pessimistic 😂

I'm debating whether to ask to convert to an IUI. they retain the same amount of cost anyway so potentially could be an option instead of cancelling since we'd be down the same amount of money anyway. It's the one treatment we haven't tried at this point besides IVF 🤔

Thanks a mil @pinkginpls. I'm going from fine to blubbering mess all day. Just want to have the phone call and know where we stand at this point.

@Gracie2021 it definitely sounds like a good option if the alternative is cancelling and losing your money :( Would that mean just doing the IUI in the next couple of days with your egg that is ready to go?

I’m consuming a lot of cals with all this protein! Tonight is half a sirloin with home made wedges and a slice of cheese on toast for lunch! I’ll get back to the lower cal/healthier protein tomorrow lol

So @magnoliasinbloom fresh update, they want to give it a few days and have another look Monday when they'll decide what the story is. But I think there's been a mix up with my dosages and that's potentially why it's gone slightly wrong. I was instructed by message to do 225iu gonal F every day but checking the treatment calendar now it says 450iu daily. Have sent a message querying it but I suspect I was given the wrong instructions. Didn't check the treatment calendar as I was using the instruction sheet as the Bible for this. Will keep ye posted.

Dinner sounds delish @thislittlebird. I've just broken it to hubby that our dirty takeaway dinner is cancelled and back to the healthy protein. Til Monday anyway....

Honestly if they’ve cocked up I’d be pushing for a free IUI upgrade.

@thislittlebird I've taken screen prints as backup and I'll be pushing for a discounted next IVF cycle if that's the case. In a weird way if this is the case I find it a bit reassuring because I can point at something and say oh well that's the reason it went tits up (scuse my French)

@Gracie2021 omg if they cocked up the meds I'd be so pissed!! Is there any point in you upping it to 450 these last few days and see what that does by Monday?

It also means potentially upping the dose for the weekend might see some activity by Monday. But then I also don't want to get my hopes up..... feel like I'm on an emotional rollercoaster. In some ways it would be easier if they just cancelled it today....

@Juno231 trying not to get mad as it'll just have me in tears again but I'll be so frustrated if this is the case. Think it's def 450 for the weekend anyway. Just want confirmation that the previous instruction was wrong so I have it on the record. Don't want anyone to get in trouble but we're paying 6k for this cycle and it's too much money not to keep an eye on this potential error.

@Gracie2021 I cannot believe that!! I hope that upping the dosage over the weekend makes a difference to the cycle and definitely push for a discounted next cycle! Keep us posted when you hear back. I hope you're doing okay xx

@Gracie2021 I thought cancelled cycles you didn't have to repay for? Only the meds? And if you have evidence they're was a cock up with the meds then I would be pushing for them to pay for that! So yes, definitely push that.
I'm not sure they will do iui though. Usually with any more than a risk of 2 eggs they won't do it. They can't risk 4 fertilising. I nearly had a failed iui cycle because we were verging on 3 follicles being big enough.

@Gracie2021 - Oh wow, what a rollercoaster of a day! Firstly, I'm sorry to hear the fudged up your meds, its really unacceptable. Hopefully Monday will offer a clear way forward for you xx in the mean time - keep to that healthy plan your body is a temple!

Sorry I've just been lurking in the background as trying to not fully submerge myself into all things IVF until I start my next cycle but...
Just wanted to say sorry to @Gracie2021 on your really shitty news today. So frustrating and then made worse by the cost having to impact your decision.

@Gracie2021 I missed your latest update!! Omg I would be very pissed off if they've made a mistake with this. But as you say at least that's an explains why you hadn't responded as expected. I think even if they did say to up your meds and you get better news on Monday, I'd still be inclined to not want to pay the full amount as ultimately your treatment hasn't went to plan. If Monday doesn't see a massive improvement, I'd push for IUI too! God what a drama! Enjoy your much deserved take away!! X

@dogmam thanks! I felt ok earlier but since then I've been beating myself up for talking the doctor out of higher doses because my AFC was 38 and my AMH 31 that day I saw her. I was worried about OHSS and she was in such a rush and so flippant about the high dosage it scared the shit out of me and I pushed for lower, but I always though a more middling dose was the way to go but we didn't get a chance to discuss that. So now having 10 (or possibly fewer on the day of EC) feels like my own fault. Oh well, you live and learn. If we have to do a private round or two because these aren't any good or don't fertilise then at least we'll know a bit more about what sort of drugs I need.

I feel like I'm writing this off already my head because I'm convinced I'll have crap eggs and his sperm won't be any good.

@gracie2021 what the actual f! You sound like you have a good plan in place, glad you've kept the messages etc! No matter what I'd be pushing for some sort of discount, it really isn't ok. People do make mistakes but at the same time its your life, emotions, and money, and we all know the clinics aren't in dire financial straits... I'd also still have the takeway, balance it with lots of water and a stroll tomorrow 🤣

Sorry had to just switch off after all the ups and downs of yesterday. They called back @beckyCarlos and were really apologetic. Told me to double the dose for the weekend and that she was flagging the error to management. So we'll see what they say at the scan on Monday. Doing my infections here but feels a bit pointless as I'm mainly expecting the cycle to be cancelled still. Have mixed feelings even if they don't recommend cancelling as I feel it's been compromised now by me being on the wrong dose and very hesitant to pay to complete this round unless there's some miraculous turnaround in follicle numbers which is doubtful or unless they offer some sizable discount on the round due to the error. Not looking forward to Monday anyway as no matter what option they advise I think I'm going to have very mixed feelings about it all and going to have to have some difficult conversations too.

@dogmam 100% will be pushing for some kind of discount or if the cycle is cancelled for the entire fee to be rolled to the next cycle. Have to admit the frustration as I roll the dial on to the double dose and think how easy it would have been to be doing that for the last week.... might be some bitterness creeping in.... sorry for all the IVF talk and hope we're not overdoing it when you're trying to keep your head straight before next month. Hope you're doing ok x

@paintfairy if we cancel before collection we lose 1k and if we cancel after egg collection we pay 4.5k and get 1.5k back roughly. So will definitely have to have a conversation about how they're going to treat us financially no matter how it works out (barring a miraculous turnaround). I agree with you about the IUI being unlikely. Think I was pulling at straws trying to find any positives....

@beckyCarlos I feel fat af, I now know why people gain weight during stims.

@Gracie2021 if you go ahead I hope there will be a significant discount. What time are you talking to them on Monday?

I’ve got a headache today and I don’t know what’s caused it, hoping meds won’t give me headaches from here on in. I’m back in again on Monday, I’m anxious about what the scan will show this time, what’s growing and what’s not etc. It’s all so unpredictable.

Twinges on the left side all weekend so just praying the left ovary woke up so we'll see. Still no bloat or other side effects physically actually feel great and full of energy. I'm in just before lunch. How about you?
