Some of us are waiting for initial appointments, some are having tests and some are starting treatment!

@Gracie2021 I have been given Lutigest. Is that a good one? I have no idea!

thislittlebird · 02/02/2022 16:33

I got my call! What time is your scan on Friday @Gracie2021? I’m in at 9am Friday! They said to stay on the 150 gonal f, and start the fyremadel in the morning

beckyCarlos · 02/02/2022 16:37

@gracie2021 ahh I jumped the gun. You'll definitely have some lovely little folicles growing 🥰 you too @thislittlebird! So exciting!

thislittlebird · 02/02/2022 16:42

@beckyCarlos I’m a bit excited to see what’s going on in there but need to remain calm in case the buggers aren’t growing well!

thislittlebird · 02/02/2022 17:16

@beckyCarlos forgot to say I don’t know if I knew you were in Yorkshire or if I forgot but I do now!

Gracie2021 · 02/02/2022 17:21

I'm in at 8.30 @thislittlebird we can compare notes after 😂😂 actually can't wait. Dying to know what's going on. Fingers crossed all good for both of us.

Never heard of that one @magnoliasinbloom. Is it a pessary? I've been on crinone gel so far which I hate but tbh don't think there's any perfect progesterone option. For the IVF transfer will be on crinone plus lubion injections.

Thanks a mil @beckyCarlos trying to be hopefully. Just only had two follicles at my baseline scan so think that got me a bit anxious but no point worrying about it til it happens.

@Gracie2021 this is taking synced cycles to a new level 😂. I’m excited too tbh, like I’m going to be upset and pissed off if they tell me bad news like nothing is growing but I do want to know what’s going on! Didn’t you have an issue with visibility though? So there could have been more in there hiding?

I’m on cyclogest and I requested it because I need to use them rectally because I get the stupid thrush issue. Need a location for pessaries of a different kind 😭

FlyOnTheWall89 · 02/02/2022 17:40

@Gracie2021 @thislittlebird waits patiently for notes to be compared - fingers crossed for you both x

magnoliasinbloom · 02/02/2022 18:00

@Gracie2021 yes it’s a pessary administered 3 x daily. Hopefully the injections are better than the gel!

@thislittlebird crossing fingers for you both for Friday morning Smile

thislittlebird · 02/02/2022 18:10

@magnoliasinbloom @FlyOnTheWall89 thanks!!! I just want to know what’s happening in there now. Hurry up Friday!

thislittlebird · 02/02/2022 20:53

@Gracie2021 I just did say 5 injection and I have a really heavy uterus feeling???? Achey? Very odd. Not sure what that’s all about.

magnoliasinbloom · 03/02/2022 09:27

Morning! Question for anyone who has had a HyCoSy before on the thread - I've managed to rebook mine to March 8 (day 10 of my next cycle so I can have the HyCoSy and letrazole and IUI in the same cycle which is great). However my partner is overseas for work at that time. I've seen from the NHS info that they recommend bringing a support person in so you don't have to drive home etc. I could walk/uber home from the hospital myself if I needed to - but for anyone who has had one before, how painful was it and did you need a support person to go with you? I am considering going by myself but I could ask my brother or a friend if I needed to. Thanks!

Gracie2021 · 03/02/2022 09:38

I had a HSG so not sure if it's quite the same things @magnoliasinbloom but it didn't involve sedation and I drove straight home after.

@thislittlebird no heavy feeling here now actually but night sweats have arrived in full force which I hadn't read about as a side effect anywhere. CM is still insane. I did have an issue with visibility on the left ovary but right only had two so I'm trying to temper my expectations. Really hoping for about 10-12 which I'd be thrilled with but we'll see.

Today is CD26 for me, I know I should be on soon, but no cramps yet...is there anything more ridiculous in this journey than flipping from 'I've got no signs yet, maybe I'm pregnant' to 'where the f is my period, I need to work out dates when I'll be downregging' 🤣

pinkginpls · 03/02/2022 11:18

@magnoliasinbloom Hey, I had a HyCoSy back in November and it didn't involve anesthesia nor caused great deal of pain. I drove myself home. One thing I would recommend is bring your pads! Grin The injected saline made me looked like I wet myself luckily it was just from the car to my front door lol.

pinkginpls · 03/02/2022 11:21

@beckyCarlos every f-ing month. This month is the month, I feel great, we can do this >> it has been 7+/- day shall I check? shall i not? >> Ok this month is not the month. I hate the entire world >> where is AF?? just bloody get on with it.... and... on repeat.

thislittlebird · 03/02/2022 11:33

@Gracie2021 I have heard about night sweats with buserelin, are you on that? Less CM today but did do the fyremadel injection this morning. Makes me wonder if it’s named ‘fyre’ on purpose lol.

@beckyCarlos sounds about right! Lol

magnoliasinbloom · 03/02/2022 12:01

@Gracie2021@pinkginpls thanks, sounds like I should be okay to go on my own then. I look forward to looking like I've pee'd myself Grin.

From this, to horrendous injections, from wishing our period wouldn't turn up to wondering where the hell it is - why do we have to put ourselves through it all?!?!

Gracie2021 · 03/02/2022 12:58

@magnoliasinbloom it had better all be worth it in the end 😂🙈😭🤯

@thislittlebird just googled it and it's a side effect of cetrotide apparently which is my ovulation inhibitor. It sounds very similar to Your fyre one. Mine stings and itches for about half an hour after I put it in and comes with a lovely temporary rash. Nothing severe but just a slight nuisance.

@pinkginpls @beckyCarlos the days of waiting for period knowing you're out are actually my most hated days of the whole month. Also find my mood dips so low then which doesn't help. Hope she comes soon for you.

@magnoliasinbloom i only had a hysteroscopy but 100% take a pad 🤣 the nhs one made me waddle like a penguin. The feeling of saline flowing back out is....interesting 🤣 youd think it all comes out at once but that is not the case!

Also eugh yes, i just want to go be on so I know when my first shot day is 🤣 not that I'm looking forward to the burserelin night sweats, i get 21 days of shut down and temporary menopause before stims..looking forward to a snapshot of my near future 🤣

magnoliasinbloom · 04/02/2022 09:22

@beckyCarlos thanks for the heads up! Grin Grin Grin

@Gracie2021 @thislittlebird hope it all went well this morning!!

Gracie2021 · 04/02/2022 09:37

It's looking very likely that our cycle will be cancelled which sucks cause we lose almost all the money we paid for it. Left overy has nothing, nada, zilch. Right ovary has 4 but one is 17mm and ready to go so best case scenario we sacrifice the leader and get the bottom 3 but nurse doesn't think doctor will go for that option and instead thinks they'll probably cancel and try again with a different protocol. Will hear in the afternoon. Devastated.

magnoliasinbloom · 04/02/2022 10:01

@Gracie2021 I'm so sorry to hear that, that is devastating. Crossing my fingers that the doctor will let you still go ahead this afternoon xxx

thislittlebird · 04/02/2022 10:02

@Gracie2021 I replied to you on the other thread in more detail but this really is a shitty process and I’m sorry you have to lose any money. Let us know what the clinic says x

Gracie2021 · 04/02/2022 10:05

Thanks guys. Tbh having had a minute to get over the news I'm inclined to push for cancelling it. If we go ahead we're out the entire cost of the cycle for a chance at 3 follicles which isn't good. If we cancel we're out 1k only and can reassess and try a new protocol. Financially and just trying to be practical and take the emotion out of it, going ahead isn't a good choice..... trying to keep myself together as have to get through a manic day of work now but plan some takeaway and bad food choices later!
