🎄Is your turkey 🦃moister than an oyster?💦TTC bus 51

Minster2012 · 05/12/2021 12:40

Wow that last bus was an amazing bumper BFP filled bus where we were all crying and screaming for joy as lots of our lovely passengers got their BFPs…🙌🏻we are having an ADVENT CALENDAR of a BFP each day! 🥰❤️

There’s still some ppl lingering on this bus so that’s it, I’m calling time, all the rest of you are due off this bus with your 2 lines please 🤞🏻

This is the bus where we’ve got lots of things going on, bumps, rainbows 🌈, ivf, and now lots more miracle BFPs before ivf! Maybe we should issue passengers with an ivf referral on your way in too to help spur those eggs & sperm into action!

Whether you are TTC “normally”, IUI/ivf or anything we are a crew that cling together to the bitter end & always ready to help a sister out. We’ve had multiples, some losses so know two lines can be just as terrifying as none, and we’ve got ladies where those two lines are more illusive than a white Christmas 🎅🏻

It costs an embarrassing story for your ticket, doesn’t have to be TTC related as we know laughing when TTC is needed.

If you see mention of Instagram I have a public account where a lot of people are linked too:
Minstermusings, and a few people have created new anonymous accounts to record their TTC journey/life stupidities m/general annoyances on…just don’t mention TTC on a personal account.

@Franklydear so sorry to see how this months gone for you, ttc can be very emotionally taxing so can only imagine how you're feeling after 2 years, lots of love sent your way ❤

larrythelizard · 23/12/2021 13:40

Emotions aren't necessarily rational though and that's what makes it hard @Franklydear. Here for hand holding whatever happens

pennysays · 23/12/2021 13:49

Sending you so much love and support @Franklydear. What a sad thing to see.

Minster2012 · 23/12/2021 13:53

InkyPaper · 23/12/2021 21:15

Big hugs @Franklydear ❤️

Sorry I went AWOL for a while, it's been a trying few days. But! Our treatment plan has finally been signed off so we're just waiting to hear from the drugs company now. More waiting, but another step closer at least. Hope everyone is doing ok x

Franklydear · 23/12/2021 22:03

Thank you everyone, you really are a great village

becarefuloutthere · 23/12/2021 22:05

@Franklydear I've just been reading that one too, utter madness! Ppl are absolute headcases, blows my mind 🤯

DKDK123 · 24/12/2021 03:36

@Franklydear that thread 🤯 and they wonder why it spreads so much with so many idiots around! I read one the other day where someone was self isolating in a hotel after testing positive because they didn't drive and got a train to where they were so couldn't get home. It was unbelievable the amount of people who commented telling them just to get the train home knowing they're positive, it'll be fine as long as they wear a mask and stand by a window 😵 some people really are just selfish c#nts! Luckily the OP had a sensible head on their shoulders and said they'd never do that!.
My Dad still hasn't fully recovered from covid he caught in January, he's now a shell of the man he once was unable to complete simple diy tasks or go for long walks anymore without being extremely tired and out of breath and getting constant chest infections at least once a month as his body just doesn't get a break to recover before the next thing hits, one more round of catching covid really would kill him and idiots like those people are the reason it keeps spreading just because it doesn't effect them too bad they don't give a toss about others. OK rant over and breathe 😂

Franklydear · 24/12/2021 05:13

@DKDK123 people are awful, I have a friend that got it in February and still not back to normal, her doctor signed her up for a long covid clinic, I don’t need to sleep during the day anymore, which is an improvement, so far recovery is as expected by my doctor, but she did say to take it easy for at least 3 months, if not fully well by then then they’ll consider long covid but hopefully not
Period or whatever it was is done, less than 24 bleeding, doesn’t sound right

Franklydear · 24/12/2021 05:16

Oh and in my nearby city, a pub is making the headline because they fired a waitress for isolating waiting for a pcr, only sick leave allowed once the pcr is positive and have to legally isolate, poor girl gave the emails and text to the press saying basically get your ass here, pub serving food in the city centre + covid positive waitress, what could go wrong? I bet they’re not the only ones

larrythelizard · 24/12/2021 07:58

Oh that's an excellent present @InkyPaper - when is start day?

Covid has just turned a lot of people into idiots I think @DKDK123 and @Franklydear

Planned to take DS to go and feed some reindeer today but forgot to book it and only 4.30pm left which is too late (and meant to rain here this afternoon) so I think it will be Christmas baking, TV and general hanging out today.

My parents seemingly have no interest in ringing us today (they're overseas), I assume we'll just be expected to turn up on a FaceTime at a time that suits them tomorrow and DS will be expected to perform like a monkey 🤷🏻‍♀️

paintfairy · 24/12/2021 08:49

@InkyPaper yay! 🎉 They usually text within a few days.
@Franklydear I'll go have a look. But it really annoys me how everyone just blames the unvaccinated. Because actually they aren't usually the ones doing ridiculous things and taking risks. As @DKDK123 says there are so many stupid people about. Get on a train with it? 🤣 Yeah great idea. I mean if you were at a hotel and had your own car, then it would seem sensible to drive home as you'll not see anyone else. And potentially better than putting hotel staff at risk. Its about common sense? But taking public transport clearly not. And yes some workplaces are also doing things they shouldn't. I've heard that about making staff go in.
@larrythelizard people were always idiots. This only highlights it. And your parents being a great example. 🤣 I would conveniently not be answering the face time call, if it didn't come at a time that was suitable for me. Sorry I didn't hear my phone. 🤷‍♀️

paintfairy · 24/12/2021 08:56

@Franklydear I've just read it. 🤣 What's CV and CEV?
But honestly- why on earth would you not tell people? Oh I'm really sorry but xxxx so i don't know what you want to do about exchanging presents? Jesus Chris. Not really difficult. Her sister is as bad for not saying.
I know someone who's family is refusing to come at Christmas now because they've recently had it (they are past the isolation period now) but family don't want to come anyway. They will be eating turkey for the next 3 years. 🤣

InkyPaper · 24/12/2021 09:16

@Franklydear that thread has blown my mind, I cannot believe there are still people who believe it's just a bad cold.

@larrythelizard theoretically I should start the Northisterone on the 31st, but I am slightly worried the drugs won't get here in time, as I'm guessing I'll not get a text to arrange it today! That's rubbish about your parents - could you maybe miss their call and call them back at a time that suits you a little better? Christmas baking sounds fun though! What're you thinking of making?

@paintfairy you were NHS funded too, right? Did you have to make a payment or anything before the drugs company text you? I can't make head nor tails of the letter as it seems to imply I need to pay and I don't need to pay all at the same time 😅

paintfairy · 24/12/2021 09:30

@InkyPaper no, they just texted me (it came really late at night) and there's a link to book your preferred date when you click through. You don't have to pay anything. You should hear within a day or 2. If you don't- you can try chasing the clinic (I did, no one actually got back to me though and I've no idea if it made any difference). If when the dates come through on the site- the first one is later than 31st (shouldn't think it will be, as I bet they do text, but that's what happened with mine- the first available date was the Monday and I needed to start drugs on the Saturday), then call the number on the text (or get it from their website link). They'll arrange it over the phone to come sooner. They can do next day if needed. So you do have some leeway yet. My issue was it all only got agreed Wednesday and I needed the drugs by Saturday. The company didn't text me until the Thursday. I was very stressed. 🤣 But it all worked out fine in the end.

InkyPaper · 24/12/2021 09:51

@paintfairy OK, cool, thanks! I was stressing out 😂 I'll keep an eye out for the text and be ready to chase 😁

Franklydear · 24/12/2021 10:17

@paintfairy I don’t think vaccination status affect levels of idiocy, I know quite a few vaccinated covidiots, apparently makes them invincible , oh CV, clinically vulnerable CEV, clinically extremely vulnerable, otherwise known as the sick, when people say only the old and the sick die from it, I keep bouncing from cv to cev depending on context, my asthma was always considered severe, but now it means anything other than clinical notes, there’s debate...
@InkyPaper that’s sounds good, exciting
@larrythelizard child behaviour standards are different in the continent, I annoy many an elderly relative by not making ds hug and kiss relative strangers, or by letting him retire to his room when it’s the best part of the party, well, it won’t be if you push him to a meltdown , oh and the worst, headphones on the table, can he not sit nicely for the 3 hours the meal lasts?

Minster2012 · 24/12/2021 11:19

@InkyPaper always ready to chase that should be your default position 🤪

@larrythelizard also one voting to accidentally miss the call & 📞back when convenient for you

@Franklydear we are also "those parents" who take an iPad to meals out, but in fairness it only comes out after about an hour and a half after we've exhausted the non tech solutions 😜it's completely understandable for ASD

I'm feeling horrendous today so been back to bed after hugging the toilet at midnight last night & 3am so trying to take it steady (and let DH take the housework load today) as just about feeling human now.

OP posts:
Franklydear · 24/12/2021 11:32

Oh @Minster2012 get better, honestly we don’t start the meal with the iPad, but 3 hours in a busy restaurant would be too much even without asd, not needed on the family home meals as he can get up and run around for a minute, tbh the cousins do it too, I am just not apologetic about it, I am more of a sod it if you don’t like it attitude

InkyPaper · 24/12/2021 12:16

@Minster2012 omg right?! Who knew TTC involving so much chasing? 😂 Oh bless ya, that sounds horrible!! Hope you feel loads better soon ❤️

paintfairy · 24/12/2021 12:59

@Minster2012 @Franklydear whilst I don't agree with solely relying on technology to keep a child sitting down (or they never learn to sit) i think for long periods there comes a point when you resort to whatever works. 🤣 You can't expect them to sit for hours on end. It's the ones that physically are on it eating their dinner that annoy me. What's that about?!

My 12 week scan date is through though. 14th Jan. Whole thing is terrifying. Looks like I also have a follow up appointment with the dr because its ivf, where I think they decide if you are a risk.

Kirky658 · 24/12/2021 13:59

Just wanted to pop on and wish everyone a very merry Christmas. Lots of love from us all xx

Franklydear · 24/12/2021 14:16

@paintfairy not while eating, but I found it hard myself to sit for 3+ hours myself
