Wow that last bus was an amazing bumper BFP filled bus where we were all crying and screaming for joy as lots of our lovely passengers got their BFPs…🙌🏻we are having an ADVENT CALENDAR of a BFP each day! 🥰❤️

There’s still some ppl lingering on this bus so that’s it, I’m calling time, all the rest of you are due off this bus with your 2 lines please 🤞🏻

This is the bus where we’ve got lots of things going on, bumps, rainbows 🌈, ivf, and now lots more miracle BFPs before ivf! Maybe we should issue passengers with an ivf referral on your way in too to help spur those eggs & sperm into action!

Whether you are TTC “normally”, IUI/ivf or anything we are a crew that cling together to the bitter end & always ready to help a sister out. We’ve had multiples, some losses so know two lines can be just as terrifying as none, and we’ve got ladies where those two lines are more illusive than a white Christmas 🎅🏻

It costs an embarrassing story for your ticket, doesn’t have to be TTC related as we know laughing when TTC is needed.

If you see mention of Instagram I have a public account where a lot of people are linked too:
Minstermusings, and a few people have created new anonymous accounts to record their TTC journey/life stupidities m/general annoyances on…just don’t mention TTC on a personal account.

It sounds lovely @Franklydear Christmas is whatever you want it to be I don't get why some ppl are weird about it having to be "a certain way".

Controversial but we have Yorkshire puddings on Xmas day cos we love them so why not! Also never hand Christmas cake or Christmas pudding since my grandparents stopped coming to us years ago as no one else likes it so pointless! My mum in charge of dessert this year & she's making homemade profiteroles. She's missed the bit where I don't actually like cream but hey ho

@Minster2012
I love Christmas pudding! But absolutely hate it when people drown it in alcohol 🤮 and then setting it on fire 🔥 it never sets on fire and all you have is fruit cake and brandy puddle 🤢 eww

Question 🙋🏻‍♀️ going waayyyyy off topic, does anyone on here take Metformin, I currently take x3 for pcos. If anyone does, is it just me or does it give you major gas and the most vile farts known to man!? 😂 🤥😷

paintfairy · 20/12/2021 16:42

@Franklydear @Minster2012 I agree that it should be what you want it to be, or it is pointless? I hate Christmas pudding and mince pies. My family have never done Christmas pudding. DH asked if he should get one and I was like why? No one likes it! I hate people who do things because you 'should' though in all aspects of life. I just don't get it? Just do what you want! I had 3 different flavours of cake at my wedding - all sponge, and so many people were like - you have to have fruit, at least one layer! Erm no! Its my cake, I'm paying for it, and I'll have what I bloody well want to. Piss off. 🤣 Is there a no Yorkshire pudding rule at Christmas? 🤔

Franklydear · 20/12/2021 17:15

@Minster2012 is there a point on a roast without Yorkshire puddings?
@paintfairy that's my take on life, and with an autistic child serves me well, I despair when other parents comment how happy, calm and centred he is compared to their autistic boys, when they try to make them fit molds, just do what works for you as a family, who cares what you should do, according to who, if I want to feel guilty cos never being good enough, I'll look at the Bible, that's why we're Catholic, try to please a Catholic mother....

Minster2012 · 20/12/2021 20:21

You may be the only one who likes Christmas pudding @MrsBiddy!! Can't help on the metformin I'm afraid

@Franklydear precisely why we have Yorkshire puddings at Xmas, it's just a big roast so why not! I do have to admit I love red cabbage & we only really it at Xmas as DH not really a fan of it cooked

We also had no fruit cake in our 3 tier wedding cake @paintfairy, we had chocolate, banana & walnut (which was amazing) and another one I can't remember now 😂

Sunbird24 · 20/12/2021 20:53

I like Christmas pudding! Ours always lights too, you have to warm the brandy in a big spoon first, then light it before pouring it over the pudding. I also like mince pies but only home-made puff pastry ones, when you can take the lid off and stick some brandy butter in then put it back on

polkadotpixie · 20/12/2021 22:49

@Minster2012 Yorkshire puddings are mandatory on a roast IMO! I do like Christmas pudding as well but I hate fruit cake so Christmas cake is not on the menu

I'm 3dpo at the moment, although the almost 3 hours of screaming to get DS (3) to bed tonight is making me think I'm insane to want #2 😂

Dollybird89 · 21/12/2021 03:06

I'm such a bad passenger 🤣 I have been following from afar but been heavily distracted with work. Felt I had to come on here as I found it hilarious and your the only gals who would appreciate it lol. After a whopping 165 days AF finally showed up! It's been that long my stash of pads had a thick layer of dust!! Maybe after a shit year next one might be better?!? Here's hoping for more than a handful af visits ☺️

Franklydear · 21/12/2021 06:13

@Dollybird89 so nice to see you!!! I did wonder what that was, let’s hope for a better year, good to hear the job is going well

blackcurrantqueen · 21/12/2021 07:01

@Dollybird89 nice to see your name lovely lady!
That made me laugh 😂
Hope AF has pissed off for Christmas xx

larrythelizard · 21/12/2021 07:08

😂😂😂 @Dollybird89. Nice to hear from you, I hope AF is over the worst for Xmas, glad to hear work is going well!

I also like Xmas pudding @Sunbird24 - I like it smothered in custard though 👌🏻

@polkadotpixie haha yep I got hit across the face with stickman yesterday and had to do a big telling off, I also had the same thought!

Franklydear · 21/12/2021 07:13

@larrythelizard you see, I like that, but I think it’s the custard I like, not making much of a difference what kind of pudding is under, Xmas cake is just a dry abomination, why, just why?

Franklydear · 21/12/2021 07:15

@polkadotpixie aah, mine is 11, so the worst is over, and you think it wasn’t that bad was it? then you have a play date with younger siblings🤨

Minster2012 · 21/12/2021 07:34

@Sunbird24 yes I heard if you have a ladle warmed then light it's much better!

@polkadotpixie we are all mad for wanting to do it again 😂but we do!

@Dollybird89 heyyyyy!! That is funny but yeyyy for turning up, let's hope it goes for Xmas!

Love a bit of custard yum yum

Hi all, I've been shite at being on here... Molly's been going through a "phase" but I think we're out the other side now 🤞🏼
Just wanted to pop on and say I hope you're all ok and managing to get some festive fun times in 🎅🏼💕

paintfairy · 21/12/2021 08:56

@Franklydear we are having beef as well as turkey anyway, but we always have Yorkshire puddings if we want them. And stuffing. My parents never really followed those rules though either so I didn't know they existed. 🤣 I also agree about the custard. I love custard and most puddings I wouldn't be able to eat without (the ones that require it of course).
@Minster2012 ours was a raspberry more normal type layer (that was actually my favourite), a lemon and a toffee. We obviously went cake testing first and we picked what we liked. The cake was a million quid (my wedding wasn't overly mad but I didn't go cheap on the cake) and I love cake. So it was my one chance to have what I wanted to have.
@Sunbird24 Jesus. Probably set fire to the house or something if we did that. 🤣
@Dollybird89 nice to see you! Clearly AF is your Christmas present. 🤣 I hope its not too awful.
@Justanothercyster sounds fun! 😁

Minster2012 · 21/12/2021 09:02

God how do you guys do two meats at Xmas? I get stressed enough with one turkey that can be done overnight 😂@Franklydear @paintfairy kudos to you guys!

We were lucky @paintfairy my friend us a cake maker so she gave us a cake at cost price (still a lot mind as they take so much work) as our present, I think the 3rd layer was lemon, toffee sounds fantastic!

@Justanothercyster ha ha don't worry have a great one!

OP posts:
Franklydear · 21/12/2021 09:33

@Minster2012 in Spain we do: 3 seafood, 1 fish, 2 or more meat, plus starters and desserts, yes, in plural, but in my house there’s 5 cooks in 3 kitchens, meal last 5 hours beginning to coffees and liquors, in uk, there’s 1 meal, or buffet party food and desserts and Xmas chops and biscuits
@Justanothercyster anything we can help with? enjoy the festivities!

paintfairy · 21/12/2021 13:04

@Minster2012 we only have a turkey crown which will probably be cooked on the day. The beef will go in the slow cooker. So easy really? DHs family though - they do 2 and there's loads of them compared to who we need to cook for. She has like a double oven thing though, as I always wonder how she manages to cook everything. Obviously it's not just meat that needs the oven. I will also point out that I won't be cooking at all. 🤭

Minster2012 · 21/12/2021 13:11

Goodness @Franklydear what a feast but def need help for that!

@paintfairy ahhh I see slow cooked beef that makes sense

Justanothercyster · 21/12/2021 14:10

@Franklydear thanks lovely but she was just going through a growth spurt and cluster feeding which was a bit exhausting! She's touchwood out of that little phase I think for now!

Franklydear · 21/12/2021 17:03

@Justanothercyster probably awake if you want to chat through the night feeds

Minster2012 · 22/12/2021 11:09

Don't say it out loud @Justanothercyster 😂there are always more phases to get through!
