Wow that last bus was an amazing bumper BFP filled bus where we were all crying and screaming for joy as lots of our lovely passengers got their BFPs…🙌🏻we are having an ADVENT CALENDAR of a BFP each day! 🥰❤️

There’s still some ppl lingering on this bus so that’s it, I’m calling time, all the rest of you are due off this bus with your 2 lines please 🤞🏻

This is the bus where we’ve got lots of things going on, bumps, rainbows 🌈, ivf, and now lots more miracle BFPs before ivf! Maybe we should issue passengers with an ivf referral on your way in too to help spur those eggs & sperm into action!

Whether you are TTC “normally”, IUI/ivf or anything we are a crew that cling together to the bitter end & always ready to help a sister out. We’ve had multiples, some losses so know two lines can be just as terrifying as none, and we’ve got ladies where those two lines are more illusive than a white Christmas 🎅🏻

It costs an embarrassing story for your ticket, doesn’t have to be TTC related as we know laughing when TTC is needed.

If you see mention of Instagram I have a public account where a lot of people are linked too:
Minstermusings, and a few people have created new anonymous accounts to record their TTC journey/life stupidities m/general annoyances on…just don’t mention TTC on a personal account.

@larrythelizard could you maybe get some non alcoholic wine and switch the label over for something else?

larrythelizard · 12/12/2021 12:16

I guess a FRER tomorrow if you have one @LoveQ?

Xmas a relatively small affair so will just have to tell DH's parents. No bad thing really as if it does go wrong we may want childcare etc for DS, just not how I'd prefer to do it!

MrsBiddy · 12/12/2021 14:53

Hi All!

Hope everyone is ok?

Does anyone get the feeling of anger when they can't perform in the optimum window time 😑 I try to hide the disappointment but afterwards feel a bit angry/sad as it feels like a whole month of taking supplements, opks and using bbt monitors has gone to waste.

I try keep the optimum window to myself as I don't want to give him added pressure but he sometimes has a bad back and ruins the mood (which I get) but how can I go to any specialists and say we actively try when we haven't 😑☹️

😞 just sad that another month has gone to waste, so I think we'll what is the point in trying, as I need to get my bmi down for them to do tests etc, maybe I should just concentrate on that 😞

Just frustrated 😑😢

Juno231 · 12/12/2021 15:17

@MrsBiddy I totally get it and I've been there too. I think the key would be to talk to OH about it. Is he aware how long you've been trying for (they do seem to be oblivious!) and how small that monthly window is? How much effort you're putting into TTC? It takes two to make a baby so do ask him to be a team with you on this.

I've really struggled with getting OH to DTD enough but once we hit the year mark he's always performed during the FW.

@Juno231

Yeah he is aware as we both decided to start trying and he knows I have pcos so may take longer. Also he knows that he will need a sperm analysis soon (just need to pick up a pot)

He does really try to understand and asks about my OvuSense chart, but I think it just gets abit too much for him, even though I don't exactly tell him when the big O day is, I think he knows it's close and whether that effects him or not 🤷🏻‍♀️

I think I'm just frustrated as things are taking longer 😞 been a year actively trying but I'm 35 and time is slipping away 😞😢

Xx

2020mission · 12/12/2021 15:36

Absolutely @MrsBiddy it annoyed me a few times across 16 months trying, after all the effort you put in for the month and then missing that window. I did take a step back and remember though that for us ladies, we can really DTD anytime as we don't have to get in the same frame of mind to perform. I just tried my best not to tell him that we absolutely needed to go now for a chance of conceiving that month. Make sure you are showing him you actually want to have sex with him and enjoy it as he's more likely to get in the mood and perform when you need him to if he feels it's for more than just to get his sperm. A lot of the time I was angry but the next morning he was good to go and so we ended up still covering ovulation. If you start DTD the days before expected ovulation too you at least know you still have a chance even if smaller and missing the most optimal day isn't as upsetting.

MrsBiddy · 12/12/2021 15:52

Thank you ladies!

I'm glad it's not just me that feels like it sometimes xXx

polkadotpixie · 12/12/2021 16:59

@MrsBiddy That must be really frustrating. I'm lucky in that DH is pretty much willing to do it whenever I tell him it's time. Although it's not great having to be scheduled, he understands that time is not on our side due to my fertility issues and age so he goes along with it

@Minster2012 I added you on Instagram, it's my personal account as I don't have a specific TTC one (although maybe I should?). My profile photo is me and my husband on our wedding day 😊

Minster2012 · 12/12/2021 20:47

Where is this Johnny drop advert?! @paintfairy @larrythelizard I'm also missing out and it's not ideal on the telling family but it's good to have support

Exciting on the scan @kaylsd, see and very good idea about the 2020 for the years, DH asked me how long we'd been married the other day

@LoveQ our body's are fuck boys I'm afraid, totally screwing with us when TTC we found!

@MrsBiddy oh god yes. Def yes, many of us have been there, and it's horrible. If men had to be in charge of actually keeping the human race going we would be doomed. @2020mission raises a great point about the lead upto, cover that a bit then you are always in with a chance.

@polkadotpixie stunning 🥰are you a keen runner?

OP posts:
Franklydear · 12/12/2021 21:08

@Minster2012 we got married in 1999, so whatever year it is plus one, nope, can’t remember that, stock answer is half our lives, which is basically true, but depends on people actually knowing how old you are

So, I expect af between Thursday and new Boxing Day, gotta love irregular cycles, if successful this cycle would take to 2 weeks before my 45 birthday, if not, we’ll need to think again, it might be time to call time of death

polkadotpixie · 12/12/2021 21:27

@Minster2012 Ah thank you 😊 That was 6 years (& 2 stone 😩) ago! I'm not a keen runner at all, I dragged myself out on a 2 mile run today and Map My Run tells me it was my first run since April 2019 🙈

Minster2012 · 12/12/2021 21:43

I'm with you on that one @polkadotpixie, 6 years ago today for us and I was 3 sizes smaller so know that feeling! 😂 I also (when I met DH) used to run 5km in around 50 mins. Again not done for about 9 years 🤣

@Franklydear im not listening to you being defeatist

OP posts:
Juno231 · 12/12/2021 22:49

@Minster2012 I assume that's 10km?? 😁

When I met OH I was 2 stone lighter too 😬

pennysays · 12/12/2021 22:51

Getting on the bus last as always. But can’t tell you how much it means to see my name on the list @Minster2012 to know that some random corner of the internet there is a whole group of people just like me. Thank you.

@MrsBiddy last week we had to launch emergency DTD. I have really irregular cycles and there is no way to predict when it will come. Cue three hours of horrendous sex and arguing with DP unable to finish and then getting so stressed he started reneging on the whole TTC plan! We managed it in the end, and then it turned out to be a false alarm and the Opk was negative the following day. Argh!

pennysays · 12/12/2021 23:01

@Franklydear I’ve not caught up on all the messages but it sounds like you are having a big crappy bollocks of a time and I am sending you love. And reminding you to be compassionate to yourself including when you need to not be strong or resilient for a while. Xxx

Franklydear · 13/12/2021 04:15

Thank you @pennysays I am, believe me, putting myself first, what deary minster refers to as defeatist is ttcing at 44 after 2 years and 1 loss, eventually it’ll have to come to an end, baby or not, but you are right this is an annum nefastus, and glad to see the back of it, even if we are not even remotely ready for Xmas, mini Xmas as it happens as once again will be only us, but alas all of us, and my too much sleeping at all hours might be getting me out of sync

larrythelizard · 13/12/2021 05:45

Maybe a sign you're getting better if you're now getting too much sleep @Franklydear?

Sending love, hadn't spotted that you were not able to get back to see your family again this year x

Franklydear · 13/12/2021 05:55

@larrythelizard definitely feeling better, less foggy and headachy, I’ll attempt some housework today, not much, just something upright, restrictions in both countries make it impossible, and I don’t think I am well enough to travel, just feels so far away but it’s not, tree is not up, only a few presents ordered, but that’s no worry cos we do epiphany presents mostly, I didn’t book a Xmas shopping slot, so we'll have to brave the shop, luckily not looking for a traditional menu so not last minute worry, and I have plenty of chocolate and some cake, I was talking to my brother yesterday, and told me to stop being a martyr and enjoy my Netflix on the company dole at the busiest time of the year

larrythelizard · 13/12/2021 07:28

Listen to your brother @Franklydear, you can't help being ill so just take it easy. That sucks about not being able to get home but I can see why you're not attempting it

Franklydear · 13/12/2021 07:51

@larrythelizard very much doubt I can get a negative pcr for quite a few weeks yet, which we need to get in spain, then to leave spain and after arriving in England, so even without the illness it would be hard, also quite damaging for my doctors blood pressure, I do keep her on her toes, but I always tell her if I took time off every time I am not well, I wouldn’t have a life so I rather try and fail, cos sometimes I don’t fail

Minster2012 · 13/12/2021 08:45

@Juno231 ha ha ha yes 🤪

@pennysays we are your ppl 😚and that sounds rough emergency DTD and fighting then bloody negative ARGHHHHHHH fuck boy body!

@Franklydear I know darling there will have to be an end, but not cos you aren't feeling well. You've got the sticks now & im hoping that might give insight. Don't worry about Christmas, all your family want is you, your love & to give you their love. Tree or no tree, presents or not don't matter. Love makes Christmas 🎄

A shit morning here. Literally. Walked downstairs (after DH had gone btw) and immediately smelt 💩. The dog crate was full of crap, dogs sat in it. Immediately I was throwing up. Let alone trying to clear it up & wash them. How the f DH went out (ok not through that door) and didn't smell it I have no idea. Dogs and children, urgh

OP posts:
paintfairy · 13/12/2021 10:42

@Minster2012 I was binge watching friends on comedy central yesterday and the advert came on like every break! But I've also seen it on proper TV (assume because of Christmas). Usually we don't watch ads but I've caught it a couple of times.
As for the 💩 , 🤮 Why?! Reminds me of the time last year when we had the foster dog. He had an upset stomach for a few days and did it on the kitchen floor. DH managed to go into the kitchen and stand in it (it was right the other end)! I literally smelt it as soon as I came out the bedroom. Men! 🤦‍♀️
@Franklydear I used to randomly look on the baby name page on here if I was bored and needed a laugh. 🤣 What on earth some people are thinking, I do not know. These are babies, not star wars characters!

Minster2012 · 13/12/2021 11:12

Oooo yes off to read that thread. I like Liberty as a girls name, nn Bertie, but it's not on the list.
