@becarefuloutthere congratulations! Amazing news, so pleased for you xx

@Sunbird24 sucks about the retained products but let's hope they finally work out what's causing your issues!! 🤞🏻🤞🏻

@Motherofkittens28 not long at all now, very exciting!

No sign of the misoprostol doing what it’s supposed to yet, but it’s definitely done something as I had about an hour of stabbing pains and uncontrollable shivering 2 hrs after insertion yesterday… Got 4 more to do tomorrow night as well, at least I know what to expect next time!

Motherofkittens28 · 06/03/2022 14:16

Gosh @Sunbird24 that sounds awful, thinking of you xx

Annny27 · 06/03/2022 15:24

@sunbird24 take care of yourself 💗 any incling of infection go to the hospital. It is quite painful from experience the misoprostal (for me the worst was shooting stabbing pains in my bum!)

Annny27 · 06/03/2022 15:24

@motherofkittens28 wow nearly at the end for you 💗💗🙏🙏

Sunbird24 · 06/03/2022 19:03

@Annny27 misplaced fanny daggers! 🤭😂
Yeah, I’m on standby for signs of infection if it doesn’t work, and haemorrhage if it does… my body is crap at womanly things it would seem.

Marvellouslymadmum · 07/03/2022 17:05

@Sunbird24 hope you're ok and everything gets sorted for you soon

@Motherofkittens28 are you getting excited yet?

What ovulation strips does everyone use? I've been using Femometer but they keep going up in price! Was thinking about east at home or one step if anyone has used them?

OP posts:
kerrym87 · 07/03/2022 19:10

@Marvellouslymadmum i used one step but with pcos I tend to get faint 2nd line all the time nearly so its hard to pinpoint peak, I ended up getting a better idea from bbt and cervical mucous and position. Think it's an ok brand as fertility clinic gave me one step pregnancy test x

Motherofkittens28 · 07/03/2022 20:47

@Marvellouslymadmum I'm not sure it's quite sunk in! I've been so focused on getting through work I've not thought about the birth and him actually getting here. I'm off now though so I can start prepping.
I used the clear blue ovulation tests a few times. The cheap strips I used to have never gave me a positive

Marvellouslymadmum · 08/03/2022 07:25

@kerrym87 I ended up buying the Femometer ones again and paying the extra, I looked at the reviews and the one step people say are always very front and difficult to pinpoint ovulation

@Motherofkittens28 I don't think it felt real for me with my son until I was actually on my way to theatre to have him!
I used the clear blue ones for a bit but then found the Femometer ones worked better for me 🤷🏼‍♀️

@Motherofkittens28 not long now! Everything crossed for you that you have a safe and speedy labour ☺️ top tip - if you're being induced via drip, be warned it's horrific 😂 don't think I've mentally recovered 8 weeks on.

@Marvellouslymadmum I always used Femometer strips. The clear blue ones never gave me a positive. I'm back cycle tracking and using Femometer again as I found them most accurate.

Sunbird24 · 10/03/2022 09:21

At the EPU again, going to be another surgery…

Annny27 · 10/03/2022 09:51

I am so sorry @sunbird24 that's so disheartening:(

Sunbird24 · 10/03/2022 11:14

I’m booked in for Tuesday morning now, and this time they’re going to do a scan straight after to make sure they’ve not missed anything. In more positive news the consultant is going to prescribe me steroids and progesterone for my next attempt so that I don’t have to pay for it 🎉

Marvellouslymadmum · 11/03/2022 15:47

@Theawkwardblonde I definitely find them the most accurate! Are you trying for another one?

@Sunbird24 so sorry, hope it goes ok and you have a speedy recovery. Good news about the steroids and progesterone too!

OP posts:
Theawkwardblonde · 11/03/2022 15:51

@Sunbird24 sorry to hear that. Hope it all goes okay and speedy recovery.

@Marvellouslymadmum yes I think I found them most accurate. Believe it or not we will be in about 3 months time. I've been told 6 months post section I can start TTC again. We don't want to wait too long given that it took 18 months first time. Soo I've started cycle tracking again just so I know where I'm at.

Marvellouslymadmum · 11/03/2022 15:58

@Theawkwardblonde I don't blame you at all, I was pregnant with my second just 7 months after I had my first (via section). I just thought it would be easier to have two in nappies etc at the same time and it totally was! Don't regret it one bit, it was pregnant as soon as I removed my implant but I was 26 then oh how different things are for me now!! Good luck 🤞🏻 you'll probably get pregnant straight away and have the baby again and I'll still be here!

OP posts:
Theawkwardblonde · 11/03/2022 16:03

@Marvellouslymadmum that's quite reassuring to hear. Our logic is the same to get nappies etc out of the way (if we fell straight away). People have said we're mad if we end up with 2 under two but I think it'll be doable (I hope). I'm not holding my breath mind as I had a few losses last time before it went okay. DH isn't getting any younger (35) so he is keen for a second.
You won't, I've got everything crossed for you and everyone on this thread 🤞🏻

kerrym87 · 12/03/2022 11:38

@Sunbird24 thinking if you hope it's fully successful this time.

Marvellouslymadmum · 12/03/2022 11:58

@Theawkwardblonde it's definitely doable, there's 15 months between mine and it worked really well, my sister had 3 in close succession and had 3 under 5's and coped fine too

OP posts:
Theawkwardblonde · 12/03/2022 12:00

@Marvellouslymadmum random question..you said you had a section with your first, was your second a section too? Quite traumatised after my section of I'm honest so do not want a repeat.

Marvellouslymadmum · 12/03/2022 12:03

@Theawkwardblonde yes I did, but it was elective as I had major issues with my son which I ms why I ended up with a section, you don't have to though you can go for vbac also I found the second one much easier than the first, I was up and about and recovering a lot quicker

OP posts:
Annny27 · 14/03/2022 20:28

@sunbird24 best of luck for tomorrow xx

Sunbird24 · 14/03/2022 21:57

Thank you @Annny27! Alarm set, all showered and clean, going to have a bit of supper so I’m not starving in the morning. Got a box of orange matchmakers to look forward to after I get home tomorrow too.

kerrym87 · 16/03/2022 19:27

@Sunbird24 hope you're recovering well x
