@Madeleine85 I'm on cyclezine (i think it is) at the moment, I did speak to my GP and she was reluctant to give me anything else and just prescribed me more of what I've got. The evenings are ok once I've got 2 doses in me but the days are pretty grim

Juno231 · 20/12/2021 19:00

@ChinChilly try pushing again if you can, there's lots of other options and from memory the one you're on is the cheapest entry level one for the NHS 😅. Adding extra b6 to your supplements could really help as well, it's found lots of women with morning sickness are deficient in it and feel loads better if taking extra b6. I've got a scan on the 4th as well :)

@madeleine85 I'm jealous of the Americans, they have zofran and they all bang on about taking unisom and b6 before bed!

@Moocher90 I'm glad hycosy was better this time! What's next in the NHS saga?

ChinChilly · 20/12/2021 19:13

@Juno231 it seems like my GP surgery have down tools in order to dish these boosters out, I've been waiting since the start of last week for a sick note for work 🙄 let's hope the 4th is full of good news 🤞 a private scan clinic near me has some appointments left for the 23rd and they've got an offer on so it will only cost £29.99 but the fear of getting bad news before xmas is putting me off

madeleine85 · 20/12/2021 19:43

Yeah the zofran/b6/unisom combo was a game changer for me. I wonder if there’s a uk unisom equivalent as it was designed as an antihistamine. I hate that the NHS really makes you struggle/plead your case for medications. In other ways they are brilliant though. Sending lots of luck to you for your scan!!x

Moocher90 · 20/12/2021 21:28

@Juno231
Who knows what’s next I need to go for day 2 and day 21 bloods and next gynaecology app isn’t until February when they will come up with a plan of action.

I am crossing all fingers and toes that I am pregnant by then though….maybe wishful thinking though x

@Juno231 did you do anything differently the cycle you conceived ? xx wasn’t sure if I missed your post of your journey or not which the ladies usually do when they get their BFPs x

Morning everyone!

How are we all?
@Juno231 hope you're keeping well and feeling good.

Guys I need your help badly.
This is the first month I've tracked Ovulation with OPKs (as some of you know from my previous threads!)
My cycles are still long from stopping BC at the end of September. My first cycle was 45 days. Im now on CD 40 (Peak OPK at 27).
I took two Femometer hcg strips. The one last night looked stark white so threw it in bin. Then the second one I took this morning and I tought I saw something but not sure, so I took the one from last night out of the bin (gross sorry) and it had a bit of a line. It's probably not valid but what do you all think?
I've attached photo for reference.
I'm not getting hopes up but I'm interested to see what you think.
I've a wedding to attend tomorrow so I really want to know! Xx

@farley21 hate to break it to you but you're pregnant 🤣. Those are very much lines! Not even faint! Get yourself a frer (first response early result) to see a proper line! Congrats!!!

@Moocher90 the only thing I did different was massively cut back on dairy and cut down on my bread intake as well (was having sandwiches for lunch most days). It was to help with my psoriasis which was flaring up again but I always did wonder if my auto immune system was to blame for the lack of bfps so god knows if reducing inflammatory foods did the trick in the end or if it's pure chance 🤷

Farley21 · 21/12/2021 10:33

@Juno231 I'm trying not to get my hopes up yet as they lines came up after the 5 mins.. I have a FRER on the way from boots in the post today! If it doesn't arrive soon I'll be driving to chemist!
Trying so hard not to get hopes up, as I said they looked white when I took them initially....

ChinChilly · 21/12/2021 11:52

@Farley21 they definitely look positive, they look too dark to be evaps to me

Farley21 · 21/12/2021 12:09

Thanks @ChinChilly @Juno231 .
Going to try take a FRER later today if I can get my hands on one.

This is one I just took and took pic at 5mins. Much lighter but can still see something faint 🤞🤞🤞

@Farley21 I'm going to say a tentative congratulations!

So I've had an appointment come through the post today to see and endo in January but the letter says the appointment will last 4 hours possibly the whole afternoon... that seems excessively long? Maybe I'm being abit thick but I'm not sure why it could possibly last that long

MissC07 · 21/12/2021 14:22

@mrsmacmc @Gracie2021 @Juno231 @ChinChilly thank you ladies 🤍

@Farley21 that definitely looks positive to me! Tentative congratulations!

@ChinChilly oh wow that is a long appointment! Did you book your scan for the 23rd or are you going to wait until Jan?

ChinChilly · 21/12/2021 14:27

@MissC07 I did book one for the 23rd, I asked OH what he wanted to do and he said he would rather know either way so fingers crossed for the 23rd 😬🤞

Farley21 · 21/12/2021 14:47

Thanks All. My boots package arrived with my FRER.
Trying not to explode with happiness..
There's no denying this one...

madeleine85 · 21/12/2021 16:10

Wow Farley, that is incredible!!! Huge congratulations to you :)

I think i'll start testing tomorrow as 10 DPO... don't want the joys of finding out I have a negative on xmas day, would rather set the tone now. At least that way I can drink the half wine advent calendar my husband got me lol.

MissC07 · 21/12/2021 17:15

@ChinChilly keeping everything crossed for you!!!

@Farley21 Congratulations!

TheDaydreamBelievers · 21/12/2021 17:47

@Moocher90 my hycosy is 5th Jan, what a way to see in the new year! At present, nhs still saying they'll take private results so here's hoping!

Kat668 · 21/12/2021 18:25

Kay00 · 21/12/2021 22:51

Congratulations @farley21!!

@juno231 and to you on hitting your 6 week milestone xx

@chinchilly I'll be thinking on you on the 23rd xx I have every hope it will be good news xx although I'm sorry to hear you ate still feeling really rubbish xx

ChinChilly · 22/12/2021 18:19

@MissC07 @Kay00 thank you both I know I'm going to be a bag of nerves tomorrow.

Well I did a urine sample at the doctors last week and had to repeat is because there was white and red blood cells present in the sample, haven't got the repeat results yet. I don't even know what it means Dr google seems to suggest there might be a UTI going on but I haven't got any symptoms of a UTI so who knows..

Moocher90 · 23/12/2021 11:32

So I’m CD11 and got my positive OPK today! So maybe a Christmas ovulation fingers crossed
