Whether you are TTC “normally”, IUI/ivf or anything we are a crew that cling together to the bitter end & always ready to help a sister out.

It costs an embarrassing story for your ticket, doesn’t have to be TTC related as we know laughing when TTC is needed.

I'll catch up with everything else shortly. But I wanted to give my update!

Officially PUPO!
So, my clinic experience was mixed. I think no one likes working Saturdays? The nurse was nice. But the theatre nurse needed work on her bedside manner and friendliness. The consultant wasn't much better. Firstly wanted to know if I'm wetting myself and if I'm not i need to drink more. I felt like I'd had enough and it's always a fine line for me and was stressing me. I also queried my progesterone levels (being they say mine are low naturally) and if they'll check, and they just make you feel stupid? 🤷‍♀️ But no they won't check.
When the embryologist rang this morning, DH took the piss saying why couldn't I understand what he said on the phone. Partly you are overwhelmed but also it was hard to hear him. But it was the same one when we got there, so I was wondering to myself if he realised that, or what was said. 🤣 And he did realise, and didn't hear. But basically the lead embryo had improved from this morning, the grading i don't understand, I think he said 2.2. The others (still no idea how many others there are, at least 2) will be checked again later/tomorrow and frozen if suitable. I'll get an update tomorrow on the portal so then it should make more sense. It went in all fine and we have photos! I'll take a pic of them actually. Which is why the insta thing is annoying. I might make a new one. Oh and I've had my McDonald's fries! To which DH said he wasn't sure how comfortable he was that this would be a babies first meal. 🤣

Yesssssss @paintfairy that's so good, and honestly don't think about grading, it really doesn't matter. They've put the best one in and if the others are good enough for freezing them they have a good shot at becoming a baby in the future. PUPO awesome!! Though they wanted you to be wetting yourself?!! What? Chips as a first meal is a meal of kings 🤪

@InkyPaper no need to feel silly at all cos you don't know where you are in your cycle, felt weird, are TTC and it would be the first question a doctor would ask! I'm sorry it's not the right answer for you though but into ivf!

@larrythelizard this pregnancy was conceived in the week of drinking cocktails, eating charcuterie & steak tartare so that sounds perfect!!

@Franklydear you could always still track these few days using these cheapies? Before you LTB remember he makes great food 🥘

@Minster2012 yeah he said he doesn't mind if I wet myself. I was like- i do? It wasn't mega full but it was full enough luckily.

@Manifestingbaby I think it depends on your DH? Mine just says stupid things that wind me up. This mornings example- I said we needed McDonald's fries and I think it's the salt. I said I usually crave sweet things (he knows) but this week I've been craving salt all week. He did but you've not done anything yet? 🤣🤣
@larrythelizard yes my DH will never tell anyone. People see it as a failure? Men maybe more so than women? Sad.

@Juno231 I thought the same about the MN people. And it's a shame people drop off here once they have babies (i understand completely its time consuming) and it's useful if you see updates on Instagram at least. I like to see them. A meet up would be amazing!

Thank you ladies for getting me through it 🥰 Was absolutely 💩 myself going into the scan alone expecting to hear the worst. Luckily it's the same sonographer from my past 2 scans so she knew how I'd be feeling and the min she put the scanner on she said straight away look, perfect heartbeat. Could see it waving its arms and kicking its legs and it finally sunk in that it wasn't just a hypothetical baby, it's actually in there, it's alive and it's growing. Literally keep bursting into tears of relief and happiness randomly all day. I hope on the down days my journey gives hope to those that feel like giving up, we'd given up all hope, but just one more cycle may just be the one for you. 🤞

Fab news @paintfairy that's great! Come on little bubba. I bet it feels really strange being in that purgatory. What are you plans to get you through the next week or two?

@paintfairy the safest without having to second guess yourself is 9 days past a 5 day transfer. So you'd be 14dpo in natural terms. That's when I tested. It was two days earlier than what they told me. No squinter!

@larrythelizard your poor friends husband thinking on ivf that way. I'm guessing he's probably not the only guy thinking like that whereas I think most women would be feeling relived that there is at least something that can help. Still far too much taboo around ttc troubles. I made my announcement to friends and family on social media today and was brutally honest about the fact it took us 2 1/2years and 8 early losses to get to where we were in the hope that if any of them are suffering in silence it gives them some hope.

@Juno231 The big bus gathering weekend, I think it could be a thing, tho we'd all need to wear nametags with our bus names 😂 and you wouldn't just be seeing everyone else's babies, you'll be bringing yours too have faith

Mine however, is an idiot today. He was up last night at 12 and 2 with D&V (mainly V I think), DS then did a gross D type 💩 at 3 which resulted in a shower and clean pjs/bed. DH has taken to bed today, not really eaten or drank anything. Won't surprise you to learn he still feels rubbish (he's a big bloke and usually needs to eat about every 2 hours or he gets hangry). DS has had D all day, we're back in nappies and done 14 today with a really sore bum, poor kid. And DH thinks him and DS don't have the same bug?!

@becarefuloutthere I find it odd that official test day is 2 whole weeks? It'll literally be 13 days past transfer?
@bez91 no plans really but this week we've got the plasterer and I'm off to the vets with the horse. 🤣 A few things to keep me occupied and to think about. I reckon next week will be harder. Also we are out for a family birthday meal the day after OTD so that could end up miserable? 🙄
@DKDK123 I'm so glad it went OK and how great to get the same lady. At least you had someone familiar, as it was rubbish your OH couldn't be there.

@paintfairy everywhere seems to do it differently. Personally I wouldn't wait that long but you might like being in the bubble of not knowing so just wait and see how you feel once week one is down. Are you on pessaries now?

@becarefuloutthere yes, started them Wednesday. Utrogestan 3x day. I must admit they are somewhat inconvenient! Night time is easy. The rest not so much.

@larrythelizard oh yeah sound completely different bugs 🙄 it couldn't possibly be anything to do with him 😂 your poor DS. It's horrible for them, hope he's better soon and DH too for your sake... don't men always get it worse 🙈

@paintfairy I'm not convinced you'll last until OTD 🙈 oh gosh 3 a day. Constant dampness - great 🤦🏼‍♀️
