Hello all,

Today is my first month of trying to conceive my third. Me and my partner decided at the beginning of the month that we are ready for another child.

I am currently 4dpo I believe. According to my app, I was supposed to ovulate on the 16th however my clearblue ovulation test showed a peak on the 18th. I tested that morning and it was negative then that evening it was positive. Then the next morning it was negative again. I'm guessing my LH surge must have been a short one.

I'm not exactly sure when I'm due my AF as the dates have changed on my app due to ovulation being later than assumed. But, it is stating that I should expect it on the 2nd of Oct. And oh boy does that seem so far away. I am becoming so impatient. Everyday I'm forcing symptoms onto myself lol even though it is still so early and implantation has not taken place yet. This waiting game is sending me crazy. Time is going too slow.

I need some testing buddies. Is anyone else due around the end of this month?

Hi, I am also ttc baby 3 and this is our first month. I am using an app to try and determine when I’m ovulating but af is due on the 4th. I am feeling exactly the same is it gas is it implantation. I think I’m going to drive myself crazy during this 2ww. Good luck 🤞🏻

Tee93 · 24/09/2021 08:24

Hi @W0W123 Smile

We are completely in the same boat. The 2ww is really frustrating isn’t it? I really wish I could just go about my days normally without giving it a thought but it is so hard! I’m trying to be positive but then I tell myself that I’m not pregnant this month because I feel normal but again.. it is still so early to tell. Lol.

Wishing you the best of luck for this month! Smile

I think I spend about 90% of my day thinking about it... I really struggled to conceive my dd with pcos and my ds was a little surprise as I just assumed I wouldn’t conceive again, I wasn’t trying for him at all. So I’ve no idea whether I’m fertile, not fertile... will it be the first month or will it be 5 years again 😂 with both I had implantation cramps so every twinge I’m like is it? Isn’t it? You will have to keep me updated on your progress seeing as we are a couple of days apart in our cycle Smile

Tee93 · 24/09/2021 13:47

Aww sorry to hear about the struggle to conceive your first. I don't know too much about pcos but from what I've read I know that it causes issues for women trying to concieve. I can only imagine the difficulty you have to go through!

It took me around 8months to conceive my ds in 2016 and I was convinced my body was broken! and this was following a miscarriage in 2015. And then when my DS was around 8months old, I found out I was pregnant with my dd.. a total surprise as we weren't trying. So there is a bit of an age gap now which is why I'm so desperate to conceive again.

To be honest, with both of my children, I can't remember having any symptoms like implantation cramps etc. So I think that's why I'm second guessing everything I'm feeling at the moment because I don't know if it's legit or not lol.

I had a tooth extraction earlier this month so I was taking ibuprofen for the pain so I'm worried that maybe this would have caused me not to ovulate this month. From what I've read; stress, certain medication, pain (hormone imbalance) can prevent you from releasing an egg. Even if you get a peak on an ovulation test, that doesn't guarantee that an egg will be released. So that is another concern of mine Sad

I will definitely keep you updated and please do the same! I really hope we get our BFP this month. I'm already exhausted and fed up and the thought of doing this for several more months is haunting me haha Grin

W0W123 · 24/09/2021 16:26

Sorry to hear about you miscarriage, it’s so hard when you think your body is broken I know that feeling, we had all the checks done and it was just me with the problems.

What’s your age gap? obviously the first two were very close together. I bet that was a handful!! Mine are 7 and 5 now. So a gap for us too hoping it will be easier now they are older...
Oh god I didn’t know that about stress and ovulation... I totally ocd on things like this which is why I haven’t got the ovulation kits. I don’t think my partner is as invested as me, so I doubt he will want to try for long before he changes his mind and keeps his game room so I hope it’s a quick conception 😂

Tee93 · 24/09/2021 20:28

Yeah, it is horrible thinking that your body doesn't work the way it should. But now I find comfort in the fact that I've had two children and everything is working as it should be.

My ds is going to be 5 in December and my dd is 3. It was a struggle in the beginning, having two under two was draining to say the least lol
But as you said, it's good that they're older as it should be easier. And they can help out too lol.

My partner isn't as invested either! Lol. He see's me on this forum and looks at me as if I'm crazy lol. But I find these forums so helpful! It's comforting reading that other women are in the same boat as you hoping to get their BFP! Smile

Oh yes I’m so happy I’ve been able to have children and if I can’t or don’t have more I’m still very blessed!
That’s a nice age gap to have for your kids, especially as next year they will both be at school. I’m hoping mine will want to help out and be involved with things. My son keeps asking for a baby for Christmas so let’s see lol
Oh god if my partner saw me on here he would take the absolute piss, but people have answers to your questions and there’s things you didn’t even know were a thing. So many people with so much help and information it’s invaluable and just being able to talk to someone feeling the same way you do, it’s a real lifeline!

Tee93 · 25/09/2021 10:41

Aww a baby for Christmas, how cute! Lol bless him! Fingers crossed!

And exactly! The information you get from here is invaluable. I find this much better than googling stuff to be honest.

I’m 6dpo today and this morning I’ve been cramping. Towards the middle and right hand side of my uterus. The pain sort of radiated down my right leg too! Very strange! It’s way to early for period pains. So I’m wondering if it’s the implantation cramps some women get. I’ve never had it before so it’s hard to tell

Hi can I join?
I'm also TTC number 3. DC1 and DC2 were both first try - 11 months between them!

Since having my 2nd Covid vaccine my period each month is coming 5 days early- I haven't ever had this before, since starting my period at age 13! (34 now) my cycle is still considered normal I think? I should probably know more about this, I was lucky the first couple of times.

Looking forward to being on this journey with you all :)

W0W123 · 25/09/2021 13:51

@Tee93 wow that sounds promising, yes could be implantation let’s hope so! It starts around 6dpo I’ve read so fingers crossed! I got them with both of mine.

@TTCyay yes please join in! Is this your first month too? Maybe the jab has put your hormones out of whack? I’ve heard quite a few people are having problems with periods after the jab, though I can’t really comment I haven’t taken it.
Hopefully we will all have bfp where are you on your cycle?

Had something weird happen did the deed and nothing came back out he swears he didn’t fake anything but where did it go... have either of you had this? 😂😂

Tee93 · 25/09/2021 14:03

@W0W123 I did get a little excited but I don’t want to get my hopes up so I’m just trying to ignore it. Lol. But I’m hoping it was indeed implantation taking place. And I’ve never had that happen to me before 😂

@TTCyay thanks for joining us! Smile
Yes, I have also read that the jab has sort of thrown other peoples cycle off. However I believe after a few months it should start returning to normal? I’m not entirely sure as I haven’t had the jab either. Are you in your tww?

OP posts:
TTCyay · 25/09/2021 14:13

@Tee93 Fingers crossed for you that it's implantation!

@W0W123 Hello 👋 Yep, first month trying too! I'm being driven mad by my period coming 5 days early each month as I don't know how reliable the apps are in relation to helping predict ovulation. My husbands response to that is "let's just do it everyday then!" 😂

I'm out for this month though as my period was meant to come on 1st oct but it arrived today! So I'll just sit here and watch you guys :)

In regards to doing the deed and then nothing coming out, I've had that once before but it came out a few hours later! Was not nice... 😅

Let us know what happens! Haha

W0W123 · 25/09/2021 14:13

@Tee93 I’ve got my fingers crossed for you, when is the earliest to start testing is it 10dpo? Or is that just really optimistic?

Tee93 · 25/09/2021 14:23

Thank you @TTCyay 😊 Have you tried using ovulation tests? Those are more accurate than the apps I believe

And thank you @W0W123 😊 To be honest, I’ve seen some posts on here of people testing 7dpo and getting a faint line. I didn’t even realise you could test that early and get a positive result. But the clear blue ultra early tests I’ve bought states that you can test up to 6days early. I think I’m going to try and hold off though until the day of my period. I’m praying to have that sort of willpower 😂 When are you thinking of testing?

And

OP posts:
TTCyay · 25/09/2021 14:49

@Tee93 Good idea to wait to test until your period is due, although no judgment here if you test earlier then that :)

I haven't started using Ovulation tests yet, I have a tendency to get a bit obsessed if I do things like that and so I'll probably wait a few more months and if it still hasn't happened I will probably have to try them.

W0W123 · 25/09/2021 14:51

@TTCyay wow so all in the same boat. 😁 how old are your children? And do you have one of each? I hope it doesn’t come out when we walk down to the beach later that will be unfortunate!
@Tee93 if I get any implantation symptoms I’ll do a test when they stop I had them for a couple of days last time and waited for af to start but I was so irregular with pcos I never knew when I would have one and tested anyway and they were strong positives. I kept thinking my period would start the pains were exactly the same.

TTCyay · 25/09/2021 15:14

@W0W123 😂 hopefully it doesn't come out on your beach walk later! Haha
I have a boy who's coming up to 3.5years and a girl who's 2.5yrs. What about you?
We found out the sex both times, so if we are lucky enough to conceive again we will leave it a surprise!

How are your periods? Are they regular?

TTCyay · 25/09/2021 15:15

@W0W123 I see you've already mentioned their ages, sorry! Do you also have one of each?

W0W123 · 25/09/2021 16:00

@TTCyay yep one of each, we have said the same this one will be a surprise too, we really are all in the same boat!
My periods are regular again now, came off the pill due to terrible migraines about 3 months ago I got sick of them and said he needed to get the snip it wasn’t fair. I think it’s made him re-think not having any more children as it’s permanent really. So here we are 😂

TTCyay · 25/09/2021 16:12

@W0W123 Awesome!
I agree about it not being fair, I'll also be suggesting the snip for DH. I've had 15 years of contraception- enough now!

It's good your periods are regular now, fingers crossed we all get out BFP soon. I'm rooting for you two.

What apps do you both use? I use Clue and Flo (maybe some others 😂) and Clue says ovulation on the 11th and Flo says the 7th even though they both have the same Information!
WHEN IS IT THEN?! Guess I'll just be having sex the whole time...

W0W123 · 25/09/2021 19:48

I have flow but the free version and I have period tracker. I’ll have a look at clue can’t hurt to have a few different ones... I get obsessive with things like that though, end up charting every little symptom. I’ve had a pressure down in my uterus area on my walk this evening and I’m like is it because I need a wee, bloating, gas, implantation?? Then I’m on google again 😂😂 I’m totally not chill lol

TTCyay · 25/09/2021 20:48

@W0W123 Ah the symptom spotting, it's hard to take your mind off it isn't it. How was the beach?

I'm sat here watching Sex Education on Netflix whilst drinking a vodka diet coke. Very relaxed!

@Tee93 How has your day been?

W0W123 · 25/09/2021 21:17

It really is hard to stop thinking of it, it was such a lovely warm evening, who would guess we are almost in October!?!
Sounds like a nice chilled Saturday evening, I’ve let the kids stay up later tonight in the hope of a lay in tomorrow... if luck is on my side 🤞🏻

TTCyay · 25/09/2021 21:44

Good luck for the lay-in. Fingers crossed 🤞

So, I've just gone to change my tampon and there's nothing on it? Wtf is going on...
It's prob just hiding. I've had implantation bleeding before and it was like this mornings!
