Good afternoon ladies,

I hope you are all well.

Would any of you like to jump on this 2WW train with me?

Time is going by so slowly but hopefully we'll be able to keep each other sane!

Just a little but about myself.

Hubby and I lost our first baby at 19+4 due to my incompetent cervix. We were absolutely devastated and we still are to be honest. We have decided to start trying again partly because we really do want to start a family but also because we know that women are more fertile after miscarriage/baby loss and we want to make the most of this window. I have PCOS and my cycles are typically long and unpredictable. It was a bit of a miracle I managed to get pregnant so quickly the first time.

I definitely ovulated last week, I had the cramps, EWCM and everything. The only issue is i have no idea which day I actually ovulated. The last day of my fertile was Monday this week. Hubby and I did quite a bit of baby dancing last week including Sunday so I'm literally praying for good news at the end of this 2ww.

I'm just going to act as though I ovulated on Monday so I should be at least 2dpo now.

Praying this thread turns into one of those lucky ones where we all get good news xx

Morning everyone, another day another dpo. Where is everyone at and how is everyone doing?

@Charl881 sounds like a nasty virus hope you're all recovered now! Yes it's way too early for me too I'm only on 6dpo. Bbt is still staying high which is positive.

@TinyShrew17 sounds positive with the CM. Fingers crossed this will be a BFP for you this cycle!

@Blondiebrownie6 Other than a little bit crampy no other symptoms for me. Sounding promising for you, fingers crossed!!

@Daisyamelie welcome and so sorry to hear about your loss. Its absolutely devastating and hope you are looking after yourself. Sounds like youve got lots of BDing in during the fertile window! Same as what others have said, my OPKs always have a line I think I have low levels of LH throughout my cycle. As for a dip in BBT mine does that too in the luteal phase and often goes up again the next day. Keep an eye on it over the next few days and I'm sure it will go up again 😁

Daisyamelie · 05/09/2021 10:03

Thanks ladies 😁 helps so much to hear others and their experiences!! It can feel a bit lonely on the ttc train sometimes!
Hope everyone is feeling okay today xxx

Blondiebrownie6 · 05/09/2021 15:40

Afternoon ladies. Hope you’re doing ok? I don’t feel confident posting this at all but I got my BFP this morning 🥺 excited, nervous and absolutely petrified of something going wrong , but here we go again! Going to use FRER every other day to keep an eye on progression and see how it goes.

I hope your days are going ok and sending baby dust to you all that you to get your BFPs soon x

@Bundaberg84 that does sound super relaxing! I’m Defos going to get myself booked in for a wee massage or something soon x

Daisyamelie · 05/09/2021 15:58

@Blondiebrownie6 amazing!! Congratulations ❤️😁 xxx

BebeYoda · 05/09/2021 16:06

I'm now 9DPO and I have a couple of symptoms, although I'm not getting my hopes up. Since Christmas, I've had a week of light (brown) spotting before AF. I thought it was implantation the first time it happened, I so expected a BFP that month. Normally that would have started 1-2 days ago but it hasn't yet, just very light pink cm today. Aside from that, I woke up with a stuffy nose (although I did a 26 mile hike for Macmillan yesterday and I was really cold coming home so maybe that's caused it). I'm tired today and have backache but again that's probably from the walk. My cervix also seems higher today, I've read that's a sign, but then I've only been monitoring it since this cycle so I don't really know what's normal for me yet. No achey boobs yet. That would usually be a big giveaway for me. Just a case of wishful thinking maybe with the rest 😊 How are you all doing?

MaltyJones92 · 05/09/2021 16:15

Hi Ladies,

Can I join in on the 2WW with you all?

I'm so sorry to hear about all your losses, it must be an absolutely heartbreaking thing to have to go through.

Big congratulations @Blondiebrownie6! It's lovely to hear positive stories and gives the rest of us hope ☺️

I've been trying for baby number 1 for around 11 months now (could be 12, I've lost count!) with no luck.

I'm currently on 4dpo. I have PCOS and although my cycles are generally pretty regular, they've gone a little crazy over the past couple of months which has been super annoying. I have my first fertility appointment in October which is a relief. Trying to hold off on testing until 12dpo this month as I'm super busy with work and need to stay focused, but I always end up giving in! I don't want to think about the amount of money I've spent on ovulation tests and pregnancy tests over the last year 🤣

@Bundaberg84 I've been thinking about starting acupuncture! Do you do it specifically for helping fertility or for different reasons?

SummerGirlElle · 05/09/2021 16:27

@Blondiebrownie6 omgggg congratulations! 🎉🎉🎉I literally screamed when I saw your message! That is a beautiful big fat positive hun. So delighted for you lovely❤️❤️❤️

@Blondiebrownie6 OMG congratulations!!!❤️

@MaltyJones92 I started after having surgery because of my ectopic, just to try to heal better and of course also fertility, but I believe in the yin/yang thing that both needs to be balanced, and I really felt unbalanced for a while.

MaltyJones92 · 05/09/2021 17:37

@Bundaberg84 It does sound like it has lots of benefits. I think if I'm unsuccessful again this month then I will find someone near me who does it. I was seeing a medical herbalist before I even started trying to conceive in order to help with my PCOS. I was quite skeptical it would work from the outset, but it really did do wonders for balancing out my cycle. I'm very open to trying anything at this point!

Blondiebrownie6 · 05/09/2021 20:11

Awww @SummerGirlElle bless you, that made me lol! Thankyou SO much to all you ladies for your kind words! I’m quite pleased with the line, here’s hoping it’s a sticky bean and it continues to progress 🤞🏼🤞🏼 Xx

TinyShrew17 · 06/09/2021 12:41

@Blondiebrownie6 Congratulations!! So happy for you Smile

Symptoms so far:
1dpo- Tired. Teary/emotional. Terrible trapped gas pains. Bloated.
2dpo- Tired. Terrible trapped gas pains. Bloated.
3dpo- Crazy unexplained high blood sugar levels, no amount of insulin would reduce them. Ketones 1.4 (these went down by the next morning) Tired. Watery cm. Teary/emotional. Nausea. Hot flushing.
4dpo- migraine like headache and exhausted. Watery cm. Blood glucose levels still on the high side.
5dpo- still a slight headache. Watery cm. Tired. Went for an early walk this morning- was feeling a little lightheaded (could have just been how early it was though haha!) Also SO hungry when I woke up. I can't normally stomach breakfast, normally just grab a snack around 11am, but my stomach was rumbling like crazy- so that's unusual for me. Blood sugar levels are still raised but an improvement on the last couple of days.

Main weird thing for me is the unexplained high blood levels. I've read online that a surge in progesterone could cause this and the insulin resistance. I haven't had blood levels or ketones that high in years! Maybe it's a sign.. maybe i'm just stressing out too much. Time will tell.

How's everyone getting on?

BebeYoda · 06/09/2021 13:15

@TinyShrew17 that is strange on the blood sugars - I hope it's a really good sign for you!

I'm 10DPO now, still definite BFN on IC and FRER this a.m so I think maybe my symptoms are there because I'm overthinking everything.

Symptoms today are nausea, temp up and high RHR since yesterday, been light spotting since Saturday evening (although that's happened every cycle since December last year - only difference is it's lighter this month). Also backache and cramps but that's probably just because AF is due on Saturday. I'm not particularly tired today and no achey boobs. The TWW drives me crazy Hmm

Blondiebrownie6 · 07/09/2021 11:25

Thanks @TinyShrew17 sounds like
You are having lots of symptoms! Hopefully not too long and you can test, get the FRER at the ready! Hope you’re all doing ok xx

Daisyamelie · 07/09/2021 12:57

How’s everyone’s week going?
@Blondiebrownie6 how are you feeling after your BFP? Must be scary but exciting all at the same time I imagine!

I wonder if anyone has had problems with thrush in their 2ww? Might just be a coincidence but I’ve never suffered from it before but it’s made an appearance over the last 2 days which is just delightful!

Also had a banging headache but think that may be the heat.

Xx

Bundaberg84 · 07/09/2021 14:07

@Daisyamelie interesting - could be a symptom?

I'm taking it pretty cool this cycle or so it seems. AF due on Sunday, I'm 9dpo (or 8, depending on when I really ovulated). I started having mild cramps two days ago, which is not that unusual but also not the norm. Cramps get a bit worse in the evening. Cervix very high, and having a bit of CM. Could all mean nothing of course.

MaltyJones92 · 07/09/2021 15:35

@Daisyamelie I feel your pain! I've only had it a couple of times before but got it this month. I've just finished a course of antibiotics though and apparently that can trigger it.

I'm 6dpo and have absolutely no symptoms whatsoever, so not getting my hopes up. I'm booked in for my first fertility appointment next
month as we've been TTC for over a year now, so weirdly I feel quite chilled out about it all for once.

Blondiebrownie6 · 07/09/2021 16:18

@Daisyamelie I’ll be honest , I’m a nervous wreck and really struggling to relax! I know there is absolutely nothing I can do but I’m just so set on something going wrong, it’s all quite overwhelming. No symptoms yet, just crampy and feeling a bit more tired. I’m waiting for the boobs to start and that might settle me slightly! Also just had another pregnancy announcement from a close friend and I think it’s heightened my feelings a lot! But there we go :/ I also haven’t told anyone close to me just uet (apart from partner obvs) so I’m not offloading which probs doesn’t help.

I’ve also had the thrush at various times , I think just the friction can irritate me when DTD a lot over fertile window - especially when it’s just business 😑 hope it clears for you soon

@MaltyJones92 I also felt a sudden sense of calmness once I knew I had those appointments. It feels like a new direction and some answers. Also having the dates in for appointments helps with small goals/milestones and something to work toward. Good luck with them xx

Charl881 · 07/09/2021 18:58

@Blondiebrownie6 congratulations, that’s such a good BFP!

I’ve been a bit absent on this thread as trying to forget about the TWW… but 6dpo now so I feel like the end is in sight! Looking forward to hopefully seeing some more BFPs on this thread soon.

Daisyamelie · 08/09/2021 09:25

@Bundaberg84 glad you’re feeling relaxed, it’s so hard to keep a sane head in the tww isn’t it but you’re on the home stretch now until you can test atleast! Fingers crossed 🤞🏻 I’ve not had cramps yet but had funny sharp pains and twinges. Could all be completely normal though and I’m looking into it too much 😂

@MaltyJones92 so good you’re booked in for your first fertility appointment! Even just having that peace of mind that things will get sorted will do wonders I reckon 😁 but no symptoms isn’t always bad! Read plenty of women who said the month they had no symptoms was the month they got their BFP 🤞🏻

@Blondiebrownie6 I completely understand that you must be really anxious at this time, you’ve had a lot of difficulties and this must feel like one small step towards what you want so much but I’m keeping everything crossed for you!!

I’ve been feeling pretty normal 6dpo today, still quite tired and sleeping in until later this week. Very weird dreams….and several sharp stabbing pains in my crotch? 😂 and behind both my nipples which is weird. My cervix is very high but I’m trying not to feel around too much as I can’t imagine that is helping with the thrush at all 😂😂

Hope everyone has a good day xxx

Bundaberg84 · 08/09/2021 16:02

@Daisyamelie after the first cycle I was pretty relaxed in the 2ww, but not THAT relaxed. And as I'm having a wellness weekend Saturday - Monday and don't plan to bring tests with, I won't be tempted to test :)

Blondiebrownie6 · 08/09/2021 17:52

Thankyou @Daisyamelie, I spoke to clinic today just to get my progesterone results out of curiosity and they were 51 but dropped to 36 a few days later 😩😩 they think I could be having a chemical! I’ve to wait until Monday before they’ll do any further bloods!! I got my 2-3 on clear blue today (ovulated at the earlier date so would be 14dpo today) so I’m unsure what to think now. In limbo until then. Feel so crampy and that AF is gonna start any moment!

I keep hearing about checking the cervix but I’ve never done this! Defos be careful with the thrush lol. Could all be symptoms for you , the wait is the worst! Will you wait until 10 DPO do you think?

Enjoy @Bundaberg84 sounds like fun and the perfect distraction! Enjoy xx

TinyShrew17 · 08/09/2021 19:52

Update on symptoms:
6dpo- nothing new really, just a bit grumpy- little things annoying me
7dpo- creamy cm, bloated/gassy, bit of dull cramping, back ache (but I've had this for a few days, think my backpack was a bit heavy!) but it seems to be more lower back today

It's so easy to get lost in symptom spotting- but also, I kinda want to write it all down so I have this to refer to next month!

@Blondiebrownie6 sending you lots of good wishes! Wait until Monday and hopefully you'll have some clearer answers, don't give up just yet. A bit of cramping in the first week is normal I think, while your body adjusts. Got my fingers crossed for you Smile I'm sure it will all be okay!

I don't understand the whole checking the cervix thing really. I've read about it but haven't tried!
