Good afternoon ladies,

I hope you are all well.

Would any of you like to jump on this 2WW train with me?

Time is going by so slowly but hopefully we'll be able to keep each other sane!

Just a little but about myself.

Hubby and I lost our first baby at 19+4 due to my incompetent cervix. We were absolutely devastated and we still are to be honest. We have decided to start trying again partly because we really do want to start a family but also because we know that women are more fertile after miscarriage/baby loss and we want to make the most of this window. I have PCOS and my cycles are typically long and unpredictable. It was a bit of a miracle I managed to get pregnant so quickly the first time.

I definitely ovulated last week, I had the cramps, EWCM and everything. The only issue is i have no idea which day I actually ovulated. The last day of my fertile was Monday this week. Hubby and I did quite a bit of baby dancing last week including Sunday so I'm literally praying for good news at the end of this 2ww.

I'm just going to act as though I ovulated on Monday so I should be at least 2dpo now.

Praying this thread turns into one of those lucky ones where we all get good news xx

@Blondiebrownie6 I will defo do it next month, just something else to obsess over 🤣🤣 yeah I'm pretty sure I've just caught a random cold, all I've been doing is resting for about a month!! I'm not complaining mind!

@Bundaberg84 welcome!! So so sorry to hear about your losses. Really hope this is your month! I need all the restraint you can give me not to test early!! I blame Amazon prime!!🤣

Bundaberg84 · 02/09/2021 12:23

@Blondiebrownie6 I'm the same, in the first month I cut it completely. But then it was hard to keep finding excuses why I don't drink. And also, as wrong as it might sound, I enjoy drinking. I cut down though and when I go out, I will not drink a lot. For example tonight where we have an open bar I will tell the bartender to water my drinks down. After this weekend I will stop completely to be on the safe side - I usually don't drink in the last week of the 2ww.
My husband loves SMEP, I tell you. He's completly crazy in the fertile week and would love to continue it forever :) me, not so much. Quality over quantity for me, thanks ;)

@hoola23 thank you! I will try to give you restraint. I love this page with all the statistics. Maybe you'll find it helpful as well? For example about testing at 7dpo: www.countdowntopregnancy.com/pregnancy-test/dpo-chart.php?dpo=7

SummerGirlElle · 02/09/2021 12:31

Good afternoon ladies,

Another day another dpo haha.

@Blondiebrownie6 omg yes the combo of genetics and Clomid could definitely mean there is a high chance of you having twins. That's so exciting! Haha I agree, anything more than twins is a little scary. What sort of pram does one buy in that situation anyway? I have never seen a pram for triplets Lol

I know I said 12dpo but also remember I mentioned I'm super impatient lol, not sure if I'll be able to make it to next Friday without testing. I'm already itching to test now but I know there is nothing to see at this stage.

I have my FRERs ready in my little draw full of tests. I agree FRER has been the most accurate thus far. I don't know what these Clearblue tests are playing at, but probably picking up another hormone as you said. I will definitely test with the FRERs and cheapies because if I have managed to last until 12dpo, I will need those results to be as accurate as they can be lol. xx

Welcome @Bundaberg84! Thank you so much for your kind words lovely. I'm so sorry for your loss and so sad to hear you have had such a tough time. Sending all the positive vibes and baby dust to you. My aunt has two gorgeous girls and she has one tube so I have tons of faith in your left tube hun.

Yeah I know what you mean about having a feeling but not wanting to jinx it at the same time. It's so difficult navigating those feelings/emotions. I'm just keeping everything crossed for us all. I hope you have a great time at the party today.

Oh no, I hope you feel better soon @hoola23. Try and rest up as much as you can.

Guys I know I'm 4dpo (approx) but has anyone experienced cramping twinges? I had cramping when I was ovulating which is normal for me. I have had cramping and twinges all throughout this week. I know symptom spotting can make us all a tad crazy but I promise I really am feeling cramps and twinges in my lower pelvic area/ lower stomach. I have watched a few vids on youtube and some ladies have experienced the same feeling early on and have gotten their BFP. There is also a part of me wondering whether I'm experiencing this because I could have ovulated a few days earlier and I may be a few days more dpo than I realise? I'm also more gassy than usual, sorry I know it's TMI but at this point we are all 2WW sisters. How are you ladies getting on?

Bundaberg84 · 02/09/2021 12:39

Thank you @SummerGirlElle and also all the fingers crossed for you! After that horrible summer we all deserve a bit of a positive outlook!

Hm well if you're really 4dpo it's also a bit early for implantation. It's not unheard of but also not very likely to implant before 6dpo, but also I just read that it's also highly unlikely to actually feel implantation. Progesterone on the other hand can cause cramping, but that's unfortunately normal in that phase, both for early pregnancy and normal start of the luteal phase...

I really try to ignore my body for the next week. That being said I'm happy I wasn't in the 2WW two weeks ago as I was constantly feeling ill and had so many early pregnancy symptoms that I had to take two tests even though I had a regular period. Bodies are weird!

SummerGirlElle · 02/09/2021 12:54

@Bundaberg84 I 100% agree with you, we all deserve some good news! 2020 was pretty pants so I was hoping 2021 would be kinder but she has been a right old bi...:)

Ahhhhh yes progesterone could be to blame here. I'm definitely going to try and ignore my body too because questioning everything will drive me crazy otherwise. It's the fact the same symptoms could mean a million things that is just so frustrating. Sighhhhhhhhhh

Can I join too? ☺️

Firstly, just wanted to say that I'm so sorry to read of your losses. I so hope for a BFP for you all soon 💕

We've been trying for the last year. Currently 6dpo and have been testing since 3DPO even though I know it's pointless 🤷‍♀️😆

I lost a baby boy at 28 weeks due to PPROM in 2008. I am really scared that it could happen again but I'm now 40 so we're going to try because I don't want to have left it too late through fear of trying. It will be mine and my partners first baby together. My two darlings are now 20 and 17. They are my world.

It's lovely to have others to share this journey with. Baby dust to you all.

TinyShrew17 · 02/09/2021 15:41

I'm stressing out... just been asked to fill in on a fun obstacle run on Saturday and not sure if I should take part or not.
I'll be 3dpo by then and its probably absolutely fine to take part but I'm just terrified of jeopardising my chances this cycle.

It will involve running (I can walk, thats not an issue), mud, some swimming I think and some climbing obstacles. I can skip any area though if I need to I believe.

Any thoughts? Would you do it? I think I'm probably stressing out over nothing. But I think after my loss in May, I'm just so desperate and I really don't want to mess it up. But also I dont want to let people down. Arghhh.

BebeYoda · 02/09/2021 16:25

@TinyShrew17 I would follow your instincts if I were you. Your friends would understand I'm sure and it is last minute. I'm sure it would all turn out ok but you've got to do whatever you think is for the best. I'm doing a hike this weekend but will be taking it steady and won't be having caffeine. Lots of luck whatever you decide :)

TinyShrew17 · 02/09/2021 16:33

@BebeYoda - its just so difficult to know what to do. I feel torn. But also, can't just sit around for two weeks I guess! Still got to live our lives haven't we.

I don't think my head is in a particularly good place right now. I'm emotional and all over the place. I think with frustration and constant worry. Its like the loss in May has just hit me now as we're trying again. I sort of went into auto pilot and just got on with things before.
I blamed myself for what happened with our first baby (even though it was chromosomal and there's nothing I could have possibly done to cause it!) And now I'm in the mindset of anything I do in the 2 week wait it'll be my fault if we don't get pregnant. If that makes any sense.

Just a little miss worry wort over here!

BebeYoda · 02/09/2021 16:46

@TinyShrew17 Ahh bless you. I understand those feelings. I don't think there's a right or wrong answer - just go with your gut. I'm a complete worrier too so I know there's no point being told not to worry. Hugs.

Blondiebrownie6 · 02/09/2021 17:58

@hoola23 an obsession it is to 🤣🤣 but fun to see the graphs and the trends lol.

Oh I totally hear you @Bundaberg84 I love it to! I haven’t always stopped in the tww so I’ve Defos knocked that on the head now and just wanted to try going off it completely for my own peace in mind whilst on Clomid , although tbf I didn’t fancy it whilst on them anyways. That may change next time though! How was your works event ? I was back in the office today and there with a group of girls and there was 1 pregnancy announcement and 1 lady bought her new baby in!! A mixture of happiness and sadness all at the same time!! Meh!

Haha @SummerGirlElle I don’t know about triplets and a pram, not sure I’ve seen one either :/ that’s Defos a scary thought 🤣 omg I got straight in from work and tested on a cheapie after all the baby chat in the office today! OBVIOUSLY it was negative but I feel like I got the urge off my chest lol! Must avoid now until at least Sunday 🙄 yes really strange re the CB, just stick to FRER to be sure of accuracy. I’ve got them and my digital ones safely stored , not gonna waste them too early!

Sorry for your loss @BebeYoda that’s really tough going for you :( @TinyShrew17 I Personally wouldn’t do the obstacle course just with the jumping and possible jolting or falling but it is totally your choice. Plenty of women conceive without knowing having done crazy things and lots of movement etc. It’s Defos a personal choice and what you feel comfortable with :) I’m the same as you, following MC I’m just really cautious, I’ve stopped all Hiit exercise during 2ww also and now just walking and cycling and really trying to take it easy xx

SummerGirlElle · 03/09/2021 10:34

Good morning ladies!

Welcome @BebeYoda, so sorry for your loss hun, I completely understand why you would be scared, you had such a traumatising experience and loss. I'm really excited for you and hubby now that you have decided to try again and I'm sending so many positive vibes and lots of baby dust your way.

Literally praying for all the ladies on this thread, it would be amazing if we could all get good news this month - I'm really having faith and trying to be positive because we have all been through hell to be honest.

@TinyShrew17 if you don't feel comfy hun, please don't do it - even if you have to tell a little fib to get out of it. I personally wouldn't do it but I'm a bit of a paranoid overthinker. That being said, if you're already quite active and you feel like you do want to go ahead, then do so but just don't push yourself too much.

@Blondiebrownie6 I would have done the same hun, sometimes you just need to get it out of your system. I am so so so so tempted but with it still being so early I know there isn't much to see and I'll still feel a tad sad even though I know it doesn't make sense to be upset at that stage lol. Omg I can't believe you will be 10DPO on Sunday, how are you feeling?

@Charl881 How are you getting on lovely?

Thanks for sharing that link @Bundaberg84

TinyShrew17 · 03/09/2021 10:41

@SummerGirlElle- I've decided to not do it. Caused me too much stress just considering it! Thanks ladies 💕

Indianna2006 · 03/09/2021 10:57

So sorry to hear about all of your losses 👩‍❤️‍💋‍👩 Sometimes this is such a hard journey.

Trickiest thing is how to keep our minds occupied in the 2ww. I find my mind obssessed over it, try not to think about it. It it doesn’t last long lol.

I’m currently 9DPO today…planning to hold out to test until AF due at least as early testing for me just gives disappointment. I hate knowing your not pregnant and waiting for AF even when it’s like just a day!!

13dpo will be Tuesday so thinking that’s my testing day..to avoid early testing 🙈🙈

Anxiousnewbie · 03/09/2021 11:08

Hi everyone, hope you don't mind if I join to have some company on the TWW.

So sorry to hear of everyone's baby losses 😢 it's so hard waiting to get that BFP but also on top of that worrying if it will stick.

I had an MC at 6+4 in June and im ttc #1. 4dpo at the moment and hoping to keep you all company symptom spotting and refraining from testing too early! I've got my fingers crossed for you all!

Charl881 · 03/09/2021 11:13

@SummerGirlElle I’m good thank you - 2po now, as much as I hate the TWW it’s almost a relief in some ways when it’s hear as well!

@Anxiousnewbie I’m afraid I will be no help at all at stopping you from testing early, I’m a test addict 🙈

I’m so sorry to hear of everyone’s losses but can’t wait to hopefully see some BFPs on here soon.

We are going away next Friday for a couple of days so my plan will be to test before then but then after that not until we get back which will be just before AF is due.

Bundaberg84 · 03/09/2021 12:33

@Blondiebrownie6 it was awesome! So much food, there were food stalls for each continent, from empanadas and ceviche to Thai fish cakes, lots of BBQ specialities from all around the world. Chocolate fountain, and 5 bars with different drinks. I behaved! Maybe three glasses and one I didn't finish.

Blondiebrownie6 · 03/09/2021 17:19

@SummerGirlElle totally! I know, the 10 days is creeping up although it still feels miles away! I’m ok, feel a bit a crampy but that could mean anything :/ my BBT is still high so that’s good, if it starts to dip over a few days I’ll know it’s not going to happen! How are you feeling?

Omg @Bundaberg84 that sounds bloody great! And what a perfect distraction for the day! I could literally dive into a chocolate fountain right now 🤣 my sweet tooth is through the Absolute roof! Glad you enjoyed yourself :)

Welcome @Anxiousnewbie, sorry to hear of your recent loss :( it’s such a horrible time isn’t it! They say you are super fertile after MC so hold on to that :) last time I got a BFP I was so excited (of course) but after MC and CP I know this time I’ll be a bit more apprehensive and like you say hoping it will stick 😩 The waiting and thinking about it all is just so so hard! It’s nice to know though that you aren’t alone and all us ladies here are in it together xx

Anxiousnewbie · 03/09/2021 19:35

@Charl881 that will be fab going away next weekend! It will be a nice distraction from obsessing and testing 😁

@Blondiebrownie6 I'm clinging onto the rumour that people are super fertile after MC, fingers crossed we all get lucky this month! Lovely to have others for support going through the same thing!

What's everyone's symptoms at the moment? Anyone noticing every twinge and cramp and thinking it could mean something positive?

Bundaberg84 · 03/09/2021 22:11

@Blondiebrownie6 the chocolate fountain was awesome! I spent a lot of time conveniently standing right next to it ;)

I wrote in another thread that today's acupuncture session was weird. After maybe 30 minutes he said something like - you don't take any contraception right? And I said no, why? He said no, nothing to worry about, he just noticed that I recently ovulated. That was weird no? He normally doesn't even talk.

Charl881 · 04/09/2021 09:03

@Anxiousnewbie no symptoms for me yet but too early for that for me. Last month I thought I had lots of symptoms but turns out I had a nasty virus which was to blame for them so going to try not to symptom spotting toooo much this month.

TinyShrew17 · 04/09/2021 17:22

3DPO. Hmm weird cm today. Really watery this morning, then also creamy this afternoon. (Sorry tmi) Hopefully thats a good sign that something might be going on 🤞

Also, my blood levels just randomly shot up high today.. not as a result of food or anything and have been high all day even though I've pumped in a tonne of insulin. Weird! I havent been that high in absolutely ages. (Oh, I'm type 1 diabetic by the way, incase your confused 😂)

I know its super early, so not getting my hopes up.

How are you ladies doing? Any symptoms?

Daisyamelie · 04/09/2021 17:40

Can I join? Had a traumatic and very hard miscarriage at 12 weeks in June, started this cycle ttc again.

My first cycle after the miscarriage was a long one and I ovulated cd24! Of a 32 day cycle.
This month I got a positive opk and a very very wet sensation with slippery EWCM on cd18 which was the 1st September. We have BD every night of my fertile window and then the day of my positive opk. We were on holiday at the time and I was fully expecting to ovulate later than that because of the previous month so it was a happy surprise!

I am 2dpo going by the opk as they have faded to negatives now. They still have visible lines but assuming they will disappear soon as each one I do is getting lighter (I’m carrying on just incase that wasn’t my peak as I’m so paranoid to miss it - even though I had all the symptoms to go along with the +opk!).

Hope you all get your BFP’s, I’m already trying to symptom spot and I’m annoyed at myself as I know it’s so unlikely it’s anything but on the day after my positive opk I had several sharp stabbing twinges in my left side and I have been unusually tired ever since, and quite moody?

Might just be the progesterone starting up…I had a dip in my bbt this morning also but I have heard of this happening due to the Corpus Luteum dip?
Has anyone else had this on their chart?

Xxx

Blondiebrownie6 · 04/09/2021 19:37

@Bundaberg84 haha love that!! Hmmm that’s really strange re acupuncture guy, I didn’t know they could tell this level of detail!? How have you found it it general ? I know someone who goes and keep hearing about it so considering next cycle If nothing happens this one.

@Anxiousnewbie and @TinyShrew17 nothing major here, just a lot of cramps today and twinges. But I have been moving about a lot so could just be that. Nipples feel quite sensitive today I’ve noticed. Uncontrollable hunger but that’s standard for this part of cycle lol. That’s a good sign the CM, hopefully means things are going ok 🤞🏼 How about yous anything else?

@Daisyamelie sorry for your loss :( it’s sounds as though you’ve had a rough ride! I reckon you’ve DTD plenty of your fertile window by what your saying 😃 here’s hoping they little swimmers get in there! If you’ve had all the other symptoms hopefully your covered ? I quite often tend to get a faint line throughout all my cycle I find but Defos know when I’ve seen the peak. It’s so hard not to symptom spot and TWW is literally the hardest time! Not too sure on your BBT dip, it can happen at implantation but that wouldn’t be for another week or so for you yet, could it of been cooler in your room maybe? Or Perhaps just progesterone kick starting? I had a dip at 5DPO but then went back up again. Keep tracking and hopefully it starts to rise :) xx

Bundaberg84 · 04/09/2021 21:50

@Blondiebrownie6 I like the acupuncture so far. I went there straight after my surgery because of the ectopic. It's 70 minutes with acupuncture, cupping and massage. It's good to relax you know? I usually fall asleep while lying on the stomach. I can't tell you if it helps, but it feels good, doing something for myself at least an hour a week.
I did acupuncture a couple of years ago when I was on the verge of a burnout. Helped me a lot back then!
