I have been trying to conceive my first child for the last two years.
I've suffered two miscarriages both at the 5/6 week mark. The first was Christmas day 2019 and the second was in July this year.
I've just finished ovulating, must be no more than 2dpo.
I know this is madness but I swear i'm pregnant. I just know.

I'm not a frequenter of this board. It just popped up in trending.

But I wanted to say that when I found out I was pregnant with my son, I ordered a test because I had a feeling I was pregnant. And I had the coil, which had been working for 2 years prior to this so it wasn't something I was expecting.

I just had an overwhelming urge to test. And I did. And lo and behold, I was pregnant.

So I get you OP.

I'm sending you positive vibes.

CelticFairy · 29/08/2021 09:36

I totally get what you mean, I knew as soon as conception happened with my daughter. She’s an iui pregnancy had iui Friday but I believe conception happened on the Sunday. I had the strangest feelings for about an hour in the Sunday night I knew instantly that something as happening even if it didn’t result in implantation.

Bella2255 · 29/08/2021 09:36

@Amy123456789

Still no AF this morning. I know you think i'm being super restrained in not testing, but the real reason is I can't bear to see a negative result. I just want to hold on to this "I am" feeling because I want it so much. Its so hard for us wannabe mums. The constant longing is unbearable. Just got to keep the faith! xx
I can totally relate... as much as I want to know each month... I'd rather hold onto the hope than dash my hopes in a second with a test that says negative....I then feel stupid for ever thinking I was pregnant... It really is a painful and cruel journey!

Hoping your intuition was correct, but I really came on to say that the way you have reacted to people on here makes you sound like a really lovely person.

ShuddaBeenMe · 29/08/2021 09:48

Fingers crossed here for you.

Blossomandbee · 29/08/2021 09:51

Good luck OP.

I'm another who knew before I could scientifically 'know.' She's 8 now.
Fingers crossed for you!

ToomuchHeat · 29/08/2021 09:51

Hi OP I knew with both of mine I had caught as soon as I had. I tested like 8 DPO with both and I did get positives - pretty strong ones too! The GP said didn’t know anyone else who knew so early on! I take some meds that need increasing during pregnancy so I went straight away to get my prescription increased.

ToomuchHeat · 29/08/2021 09:52

Oh and my wee smells funny when I’m pregnant!

Tinpotspectator · 29/08/2021 10:04

I always just "felt" pregnant. Even in my arms, if that isn't weird. One time when having DC3 I refused antibiotics because I "knew" I was pregnant, even though unplanned, and just a few days post ovulation.

I hope it works out for you.

Do you know what I love about this forum? You can come on and say publicly something you cannot say to your partner or family for fear of disappointing them...such as my original post. But also, people share things that move you, inspire you or make you howl. The smelly pee symptom made me laugh out loud. I love, love, love it!

I’m pregnant at the moment after 3 years of trying (which people didn’t know about). In the very early days before I knew I was I had a vivid dream where a girl said to me ‘you’re pregnant’. I then had a friend text me to tell me she’d dreamt I was pregnant (I hadn’t told her about my dream). When my partner told his dad I was pregnant he said ‘I know, I dreamt it!’
That all feels like I’m making it up now that I’ve written it down, but I promise it’s true!
Good luck OP!

zaffa · 29/08/2021 10:12

I'm with you. I absolutely knew I was pregnant even though I had a negative test (tested too early - wayyyy too early) and now I'm sitting at the kitchen table drinking coffee whilst I watch my toddler sprinkle rice crispies everywhere. Even after the negative test, I still had it in my mind and at the last minute, switched to driving for a big night out so I didn't drink (thankfully - I was about three or four weeks at that point).
Sometimes you just know. Good luck xx

With one dc, I had a glass of wine at a restaurant & the smell alone turned my stomach & I couldn't touch it, just assumed I was coming down with something. Few days later started to feel very nauseous & was confused as no other sick symptoms. Phoned my mum & asked how she felt in early stages of pregnancy & said I think I may be pregnant. It was way to early to take a test but I did one of those early ones as soon as I could & I was pregnant. I also had hypermesis so presume lots of hormones.

Chanel05 · 29/08/2021 10:18

Really holding out the biggest hopes for you!

When I was 10 weeks pregnant my mum had a dream that my (dead) grandad told her I was pregnant with a girl. I was pregnant with a girl and my mum didn't know I was pregnant nor had I seen her for the first 12 weeks because of lockdown.

I believe you. I'll tell you something weird. One of my colleagues is an Evangelical Christian. She is a beautiful person, always kind, but her outward spiritualism is a bit daunting for many. I don't mind it as it comes from a good place, but its not my thing. Noone knew I was pregnant. At 5/6 weeks, I woke up in the night in terrible pain and discovered I was bleeding. I knew I was losing the baby. I called in sick the next day with a vague reason. When I returned, the colleague said "Do you mind if I pray for you?" I said go ahead, fill your boots. She prayed over me-just general kind of "we give you thanks for Amy..." kind of stuff. My hormones were all over the place so I remember getting a massive lump in my throat. Later in the day, she came back and said "sorry, I still have the urge to pray for you", so she prayed over me again. Out of nowhere she put her hand on my tummy and said "We pray for Amy's twins" Is she had known I was in the middle of a miscarriage, she would never had said such a thing, because she is so sensitive to people's feelings. It was weird. I told my fella that night and he said on the night of the miscarriage, I had woken him from a dream where he was saying goodbye to twins. How weird is that?????

I only did a pregnancy test because I was sitting alone in a room and felt very strongly that another 'soul' was there with me.

Then I had a vision where I saw my daughter and knew her name etc. When she was 18 months we were out somewhere and she ran up to me and it was the vision in real life, down to her shoes.

Good luck OP!

Constellationstation · 29/08/2021 10:38

Oh, I’m actually crying now @Amy123456789 What with your post about your colleague’s prayers and your partner’s dream, while you were going through that. Also @chanel05 your grandad coming to tell your mum in her dream.
It must be my hormones!
I’m not really very spiritual, but I’m sure we’re all more spiritually connected than we realise.
