Hope this works girls, haven’t done this before, we’ve run out of space on the other thread.

@thislittlebird that’s great - I understand what you mean you want your cycles looking as good as possible right that’s got to help with everything that’s to come. I’m so hopeful for you!

thislittlebird · 18/12/2021 14:06

@Carla2601 I'm not hopeful, but I know IVF is on the horizon. Which is weird. One more cycle after this one before we start Confused

thislittlebird · 18/12/2021 14:07

I guess I'm cautiously hopeful about IVF though.

Carla2601 · 18/12/2021 15:01

@thislittlebird I’ll be hopeful about your IVF on your behalf!

So we got the results, they’re not so good. Again it’s rare and as such there’s not a tonne of reliable info but what there is isn’t great. Anyway at least we have a diagnosis and I’ve emailed Mr Ramsey’s PA to get an appointment. Looks like it’s surgery, ICSI then see to me but science was never my strong point so I’ll let you know when we can see him and what he says

madeleine85 · 18/12/2021 15:19

@Carla2601 I’m so sorry about your husbands results, but I’m glad you actually have a diagnosis and can move forward, that’s a huge step, even if it feels rotten now. Sending all the positive thoughts your way for an easy resolution on this x

@thislittlebird that’s so exciting about ivf! Hope 2022 rolls around fast for you!

Carla2601 · 18/12/2021 15:33

@madeleine85 thank you for your message and hope you’re having a lovely weekend x

thislittlebird · 18/12/2021 16:23

@Carla2601 I’ll take your hopefulness! Need all I can get!

what did the scan show? Has your OH ever had any mumps or injuries do they know? Really good that they got the scan and the results for you so fast, it helps to make progress I find. My husband has poor motility but it’s not the worst, men have much worse situations, and yet even with his level of motility it’s been hard enough, no success in over two years. If ICSI will be an option for you post surgery then that’s a good thing in a way. Mr Ramsay is really nice, and he knows his stuff.

thislittlebird · 18/12/2021 16:24

Thanks @madeleine85, it feels like it’ll be here really soon unless omicron throws a spanner in the works Confused

KatieLooLa · 18/12/2021 20:40

Ladies, does this look at all positive? Had nothing but faint lines but this looks a bit more concrete?

madeleine85 · 18/12/2021 22:18

@KatieLooLa hope so for you, maybe wait a day or 2 and do it again when levels should be higher. What kind of test is that? Not sure I recognise the packaging. Fingers crossed!!

KatieLooLa · 19/12/2021 09:04

@madeleine85
It's just a supermarket cheapy

countrypunk · 19/12/2021 10:48

Hello all, please can I join?

I'm 38 in February, and we've been trying to conceive for just over a year. Not a sausage so far. I was concerned I was the problem because my sister went through an early menopause at 40, but all my hormone levels etc are normal. My partner's first sperm test revealed a 'clinically significant' proportion of positive antibodies, but his GP couldn't tell him if this was definitely affecting our attempts to conceive. He had another sperm test last month and the positive antibodies had decreased, which is good, but that could change month to month. So we're not sure what to make of that really.

I've also started having fertility acupuncture. I'm not a huge believer in alternative therapies but I'm willing to give anything non-invasive a go at this stage, and the practitioner was highly recommended by someone I trust. Worth a shot!

I'll catch up on all your posts now. Very much hoping we all get some festive luck this month or new year luck next Xmas Smile

Marvellouslymadmum · 20/12/2021 11:09

@Carla2601 So glad they're helpful and getting it sorted asap for you, hopefully although the diagnosis isn't great they'll be able to sort it all.

@madeleine85 we've all been there symptom spotting like crazy! I still do it now and then and I've been ttc for almost 4 years!

@KatieLooLa it get an frer they're the most reliable early tests.

@countrypunk hi and welcome

I'm now cd60 no af 🙄 I'm so fed up I wish she would just show so I can get on with the next clomid cycle because I know it'll be the same and probably last another two months 🤦🏼‍♀️

thislittlebird · 20/12/2021 11:23

@countrypunk I had similar menopause fears but hormones also seem to be fine, which is a relief. We started trying when I was 36, I’m now 38 and have MFI. I’m not a huge believer either but I have to say acupuncture does seem to have made my periods regular/symptoms lesser etc which I’m happy with, I started going in February.

@Marvellouslymadmum 60? That’s super annoying, I hope this cycle ends soon for you.

I suppose I should do a test this week but I don’t want to, seems pointless. I’m going to keep taking progesterone for a few days to lengthen my cycle so it, hopefully it’ll work and keep it in line with ivf dates.

thislittlebird · 20/12/2021 11:23

Meant to say welcome to @countrypunk too!

Marvellouslymadmum · 20/12/2021 11:28

@thislittlebird I'm so fed up with it all 😔

countrypunk · 20/12/2021 11:34

Thanks @Marvellouslymadmum and @thislittlebird Smile

Sometimes you try so many different things it's impossible to know what to attribute any changes to! But I feel like my PMS has been much more manageable since I started acupuncture, and my overall mood is more stable. Obviously I'll report back here if it has the actually intended effect any time soon!

KatieLooLa · 20/12/2021 11:48

So after getting progressively darker lines.. I took a Clearblue digital - how many weeks and it said not pregnant 😔

thislittlebird · 20/12/2021 11:56

@KatieLooLa I thought you were doing an OPK, but I if that’s a pregnancy then digital tests aren’t as sensitive so don’t use those yet, try with normal tests.

Saying that, I do believe I saw an advert for an early result CB digital that’s just come to the market but I’m not sure how available hat is yet, or how sensitive it is.

thislittlebird · 20/12/2021 11:59

@countrypunk glad it’s not just me, my PMS symptoms were going wild last January and December and I’d been having light and short periods for months. I was freaked out because my mum thinks she had an early menopause (I don’t know how reliable that info is) and got fertility tests and started acupuncture. They’ve been so much better since then, I was convinced I was pregnant every month at the end of last year because of the mad symptoms. It was all PMS, pregnancy has never been the reason. Maybe it will be one day :/

thislittlebird · 20/12/2021 12:22

@Marvellouslymadmum I just replied to you on the other thread, but I bet you are.

I find BFNs worse at this time of year somehow, I'll be due my third gift of a BFN for Christmas Hmm

Marvellouslymadmum · 20/12/2021 12:42

@KatieLooLa sorry to hear that, I think they're not supposed to work as early as some tests though

@thislittlebird I replied on there too lol

KatieLooLa · 20/12/2021 14:19

@Marvellouslymadmum
Maybe hcg levels are low. My "symptoms" haven't gone. I have no idea what to eat as I don't want anything currently in the house, but also don't want to go to the shop either.. too cold out 😂

madeleine85 · 20/12/2021 16:49

@KatieLooLa that's exciting that some tests are picking it up. If you can brave the cold go get some FRER as they are meant to be the earliest detection tests. Good luck, and let us know how you do please!

@thislittlebird and @Marvellouslymadmum i'm due to get AF the 23rd I think... just my luck! I had a ton of "symptoms" this month, but I think they are easing now so it was just my good old friend progesterone here to trick me. On the only positive, I think I can say my body is making progesterone if it is making me feel so awful at the DPO 3-7 days. I'm on the countdown for the next 3 cycles to finish until I can make my drs appt to get checks and see what is going on/what my chances are if that makes sense? I'd honestly rather know if my body is struggling in some way so I can stop expecting a positive result/just relax. Hope you all have good luck this month! I plan some vicarious living of the BFPs, and it brings me so much joy to see other mum's on this board get there :)

thislittlebird · 21/12/2021 11:41

@madeleine85 I'm similar, if my body had its way I'd be due in the next day or two, I think, but i'm taking progesterone to drag it out (hopefully it'll work). My last few cycles were longer and now with IVF coming I don't need such wonky, unpredictable cycles.

I have symptoms this month, tired, emotional, a bit headachey, pelvic twinges and I hate it, I know I'm not going to be pregnant but my brain keeps thinking "what if". It's cruel, really. Weirdly I had zero symptoms when they tested me on day 21 with letrozole in a previous month and my progesterone was through the roof. I always expected to have more symptoms of it, this month I'm fairly sure I ovulated and I'm also taking progesterone suppositories so it might be a bit high.
