Hope this works girls, haven’t done this before, we’ve run out of space on the other thread.

@madeleine85
I'm going to wait a week and see if AF shows, if not I'll take the other digital test. Spent so much on tests in the last week I don't want to buy anymore. Been pretty emotional the past couple days 😢

madeleine85 · 21/12/2021 16:27

@thislittlebird that is really interesting. My first month and this one I had a lot of side effects/symptoms, though cycle 2 I had barely any. I am a little worried that the 2nd one maybe there was an issue with that ovary or something, so it is really interesting to know that your progesterone was highest when feeling like that. Also with you on the brain giving mixed messages. Starting yesterday I got intense nipple twinges, which i've only ever felt when starting breastfeeding. It is back today, so now of course I am like ok maybe I am pregnant. TMI, but we were very sick during the FW, and on the day before ovulation my husband and I had a "talk" and after that DTD and I really thought he might have faked it, as it was so quick, and I don't think either of us were in the mood. AF is due tomorrow/thursday so trying to hold off and test, promised myself I'll wait till at least 10 DPO which would be tomorrow. Would rather not ruin xmas by waiting until then to feel crushed. Mother nature is so mean sometimes, why would you mimic pregnancy with AF symptoms!?

@KatieLooLa good luck, I was the same my first cycle. I probably bought 3 boxes of FRER and POAS so many times with internet cheapies. Trying to not waste them now!

thislittlebird · 23/12/2021 11:53

@madeleine85 probably nothing to worry about, just a slightly different month for you symptoms wise.

I need to test so I can stop progesterone but there's no point yet, will wait a few more days. I've been in bits this week, cried at a nurse at the vaccine clinic yesterday about my infertility when she asked me if I could be pregnant.

Got my blood test results too. My prolactin was high. Sigh. There's always something. Got to speak to my doctor in the new year/in between and probably have the test again.

madeleine85 · 23/12/2021 18:24

@thislittlebird hope the blood work sorts itself out. That is so frustrating, but at least the doctor seems responsive/has appointments fast?

Well it has definitely been a different month symptoms wise... hoping it sticks, but I got the BFP yesterday day 10 (was waiting in case it was an evap), and today again day 11. Got a bit stronger on a FRER today, and I decided to try the less sensitive test today too, which was also positive. Currently have all the heartburn, a massive leg cramp, and nausea started today. Beginning to feel real, but AF is due today and I have a little bit of cramping, so not out of the woods yet. I have a feeling i'll be POAS many times until this either goes, or the new year.

Really sending best wishes to all of you on this journey, you have been such wonderful people and so supportive of everyone. x

Im not sure if anyone is still active in this thread. (?) Im 38. DH and I have been TTC our first for the last 10 months. Hope to see additional similar stories for hope and encouragement.

thislittlebird · 24/12/2021 06:45

@madeleine85 congratulations!

@ElanaBunny hi and welcome! Yep, there’s a few of us here who are still trying and trying some more! I’m 38 too, it’s been two years of trying for us and we start ivf soon so I’ve been on this thread way too long lol.

ElanaBunny · 24/12/2021 07:24

Thank you! 😇 glad to be here. We have an appointment with a fertility clinic on January 21 to see if we might be candidates for IVF. First their going to do a thorough semen analysis to rule out any issues on his end. I’m so thankful for modern medicine in that we have additional options..albeit expensive 😅

@ElanaBunny yeah, I really am very grateful for the chance to try assisted conception. You may well get lucky and it suddenly works but it’s so hard when you’re already late 30s, you don’t know how long it could take. Getting the checks done is a good idea, we found my husband has quite low motility and I have a few hormonal issues. I’m really hoping ivf can overcome them, will hopefully find out in the coming months.

We get one funded ivf round and three transfers (if we can make embryos) so I’m really relieved, but if this round fails we’ll be in the private system. It’s so expensive, we had to fight for our funded round and nearly went private but then they granted us the funding suddenly so decided to wait. We’ve done some private ovulation induction cycles and had a few consultations, none of it is cheap!

Carla2601 · 01/01/2022 10:49

@madeleine85 oh my goodness, congratulations! What a special Christmas gift!

Happy new year all, I hope it brings you all BFPs and babies.

Short update from us. We’re seeing Mr Ramsey on the 20th so should know from there if it’s a total no chance or if there is something they can do.

@thislittlebird have you got a date to start?

thislittlebird · 01/01/2022 15:35

@Carla2601 I'm sure there will be something to try, he's quite thorough and does a physical exam then sends the man off for tests elsewhere.

We're starting the last week of Jan, but I guess if my prolactin turns out to be crazy then maybe we won't be. I have a call with my GP surgery on the 5th to do request a 120 minute prolactin levels test and have to hope it comes back ok. There is always something.

LittleWins · 01/01/2022 20:41

Hello, can I join too please?

I’m 37 and currently have AF visiting. Oh boy… this is a bad month. Anyone else had painful periods following the booster? I was up most of the night unable to get comfy & my cycle was a few days longer than usual. Same happened with no.2 shot. Grateful to have been vaccinated however.

Anyway, this will be our first month trying and I feel so nervous. I’ve done a Grip fertility test and all came back good. I’ve also been pregnant before but decided not to continue with the pregnancy (toxic relationship a few years ago, a hard but right decision). I’m so happy to be in a wonderful relationship now but can’t help the niggle of not being successful as some kind of punishment. I’m not even religious but I can’t deny the thought.

What will be will be. Good luck everyone Smile

thislittlebird · 03/01/2022 13:03

Welcome to the thread @LittleWins! I didn’t have painful periods after the booster, I just had days of nausea and headaches. Was not fun, then went straight into an AF migraine Confused

I start ivf late this month so I did a workout yesterday. I have left it very late but want to feel a bit fitter before it all begins.

Marvellouslymadmum · 04/01/2022 14:32

Hope you all had a good Christmas or new year, I needed a little break from it all

@madeleine85 congratulations hope it's a sticky little bean for you

Hi @ElanaBunny welcome, there's lots of us on here still waiting and hoping lol have you had any tests done yet?

@Carla2601 🤞🏻 you get some good news from your doctor!

@LittleWins hi and welcome, I get painful af every month so I can't really comment about after the booster, sorry

RugbyGirl1 · 04/01/2022 16:43

Happy New Year to you all! I had a bit of a break from MN but you know, new year, fresh start and all that.... 😉 Let's hope 2022 brings us some good news!

Welcome and hi @ElanaBunny and @LittleWins! I've not had the booster yet but my AF was longer than usual after the first two jabs, anticipating the same for the third. Not been painful though, that sounds uncomfortable 😔

Congratulations @madeleine85!

@thislittlebird that's good news about your IVF starting - hope your prolactin levels sort themselves out and it doesn't affect it. When will you get the results?

I've heard good things about Mr Ramsay @Carla2601 hope the appointment goes well

madeleine85 · 04/01/2022 16:57

Thanks everyone! So far he/she seems to be sticking. I had early bloods taken at 4 weeks and the HCG was doubling. Early scan is a week on Friday which feels a very long way away, so will know more then. No real symptoms except sore boobs so very different to my last.

Hope you are all doing well and welcome to the new joiners x

ElanaBunny · 04/01/2022 20:10

@Marvellouslymadmum happy new year to you! I’ve had all possible fertility tests done on my end. The upside is that we do have an appointment with a fertility clinic on the 21st of this month..a few short weeks away. They’ll do an extensive semen analysis to check for mobility etc. Semi-worse case scenario we’ll have to do IVF and find a way to pay for it.

ElanaBunny · 04/01/2022 20:14

@RugbyGirl1 hello and happy new year. Cheers to a fruitful year ahead for all of us 🥂

RugbyGirl1 · 07/01/2022 11:15

Do any of you lovely ladies use the clear blue ovulation sticks with the smiley faces? I've been using them for maybe 7 months now and always get high readings from around 5/6 days before the solid smiley and ovulation. This month though, I'm still getting low readings, due to ovulate Tuesday. Hoping it'll be flashing or solid soon! Has anyone else had their pattern change randomly?

I do go off other signs too, temping, CM etc so don't rely solely on the smiley faces, just seems unusual for them to suddenly change

thislittlebird · 07/01/2022 23:21

@Marvellouslymadmum did you take a ttc break too? I cannot be arsed with it all. I’m super stressed because ivf is near and just know it won’t work naturally so I don’t see the point. We dtd twice, I’m not sure I can be bothered to do more.

@RugbyGirl1 I had a really tiresome conversation with a doctor. My GP was away so I spoke to a different one. He’d clearly put down that I was to do a 120 min prolactin test, but this doctor wasn’t having it. She just wants me to repeat the test, and fine I will, but it’s annoying that she won’t order the one to rule it out since it’s literally a cause of infertility. She did stress she doesn’t think the result is that bad, I’ll go again for another blood test next week.

I had something similar on CB, I’ve definitely had a couple of different months, but I use the advanced monitor thing. except I don’t use it now because I cannot be bothered.

LittleWins · 08/01/2022 11:32

@RugbyGirl1, I use CB and I’m ovulating much earlier than usual this month. I had a weird period after my booster so could be related.

Marvellouslymadmum · 09/01/2022 08:24

@ElanaBunny that sounds good it's a lot easier when you can at least rule some things out!

@RugbyGirl1 I used to use them but found my cycle too unpredictable with them I use Femometer strips now

@thislittlebird no just a mn break really as I'm on the clomid (that isn't working) though saying that I got a pretty high opk today even though I'm cd20 and having my blood tests tomorrow 🤦🏼‍♀️ so that'll be all messed up
Again. We dtd pretty much every other day for most of the 60 day cycle 😂🥵 trying the same this time in the slim hope that something may work!

RugbyGirl1 · 09/01/2022 22:21

I think I'm having an anovulatory cycle this month. No hint of a positive OPK on anything. I'm usually like clockwork so guess will just have to write off this cycle.

@thislittlebird what an absolute pain for you - why couldn't they just go ahead with what was in your notes??

lakejupiter · 09/01/2022 23:32

Hello all! Can I join? I'm 36 and TTC for the first time, cycle one. TTC with a coparent via home insemination & we "DTD" 3 times over the last three days (CD14, 15 & 16) - now I'm at the start of my TWW.

thislittlebird · 10/01/2022 12:46

@Marvellouslymadmum day 21 test is today? That sounds like a lot of dtd, I would be very displeased lmao.

@RugbyGirl1 I’m worried I’m having one too, which would be bloody typical considering I’m due to start ivf 🙃. Different doctor being annoying. Got to redo my prolactin test this week (after 7 days of no alcohol, so probably this Friday is safe since I can’t remember if I drank a beer last Friday).

I still don’t know what my full drugs protocol will be, I’m going to ring the company today.

I’m waiting for new running shoes to arrive so I can try them on. I really want to have a bit of a run because my mental health is at rock bottom, but my feet need better shoes post healed ankle sprain and I’m impatient.

@lakejupiter welcome! Fingers crossed for your tww, it’s not the most fun of times!
