Hope this works girls, haven’t done this before, we’ve run out of space on the other thread.

@AnxiousWannabe yeah same here. If I’m honest I was hoping for two. The likelihood of both getting fertilised is slim but would increase our chances. Oh well, I start progesterone tonight so I’ll be convinced I’m pregnant in a week probably. It’s been a few months since that delusion happened last lol

AnxiousWannabe · 12/09/2021 11:58

@thislittlebird
I know what you mean but at that point I was like..good - multiple births are high risk anyway. I positively assume everything will get fertilised.

U know what ? I feel a lot less stressed when I keep reminding myself this is out of my control. I still Google a lot. I worry when I read. I get sad occasionally but I could feel I'm visibly more relaxed. Like it's actually possible to keep reading the scary bit and not get overly stressed when I remind myself I have no control over it.

AnxiousWannabe · 12/09/2021 11:59

Saying this because I got into this manic anxiety in Apr may which caused me to not even have a period.

thislittlebird · 12/09/2021 22:43

@AnxiousWannabe yeah I don’t want two but I like the chance two eggs gives me over one. Anyway, I only have one!

Are you periods back to normal now? I’ve had a couple of panic attacks over the last few months and I completely blame our infertility

AnxiousWannabe · 13/09/2021 08:04

By end of may I was binge watching a whole lot of Netflix series and my af finally came. And letrozole helped a lot I think - I usually ovulate on cd22/24 but since June it became textbook like - cd14.

thislittlebird · 13/09/2021 17:33

@AnxiousWannabe yeah I think it works directly with the ovaries so it has some benefits.

thislittlebird · 13/09/2021 19:15

@AnxiousWannabe did you do opks while on Letrozole?

AnxiousWannabe · 13/09/2021 21:45

@thislittlebird
Yup but I didn't really have to use that many coz literally when I started testing I had my peak.

Also I got this fancy yet somewhat useless opk I bought when I was depressed so I felt inclined to use it.

thislittlebird · 13/09/2021 21:49

@AnxiousWannabe I remember you mentioning this thing. I wasn’t planning to test at first because trigger but then tested yesterday and I didn’t have a peak and then today I did, which surprised me, since the trigger was Friday.

AnxiousWannabe · 13/09/2021 22:30

@thislittlebird
I never had a trigger shot with letrozole so I did some googling instead. Apparently ovulation may happen 72 hours after trigger.

Our body sure loves playing tricks with us no...as if TTC isn't hard enough on its own.

thislittlebird · 13/09/2021 22:33

@AnxiousWannabe yes! I just read that. Had no idea it could be as late as that. Weird. They start you on progesterone very early considering it can be a fair bit later than they suggest.

AnxiousWannabe · 13/09/2021 22:51

My monitored cycle was just five pills and two scans + one day21 test, £500 thank you very much.

Did you start your progesterone before today or only upon confirmation of ovulation? I was told that they could confirm ovulation via ultrasound - existence of corpus luteum.

thislittlebird · 13/09/2021 22:59

@AnxiousWannabe I’ve had 5 Letrozole pills, one trigger shot, 3 scans and progesterone for a month...I bet it’s over a grand when I receive the invoice 🙃🙃🙃

They told me to start progesterone last night. They’ve put me on 400mg cyclogest once per day.

Misty84 · 14/09/2021 14:54

@thislittlebird So are you in the tww now? How have you found this month?

Sorry @KatRee, it really is crap. I know how you feel as I’m sure you remember my ivf failed a month ago, I didn’t even have anything to transfer. Took me about 2 weeks to process it and start looking forwards again. I hope you start to feel like yourself again soon. It’s so hard and definitely a major low point in all this.

thislittlebird · 14/09/2021 16:41

@Misty84 I’m not exactly sure but probably or near enough. Going to keep trying for a few days because it’s hard to know exactly when I would have ovulated. If I even did 🥴.

I know the odds are slim with his issues but it’s almost nice to be doing something? It’ll be hard when I likely get a bfn but it feels like we are doing something rather than nothing. Don’t love the old suppositories though, won’t love using those for three months solid if/when we eventually do get a bfp.

Marvellouslymadmum · 17/09/2021 17:42

Hey how's everyone doing? I'm 7dpo here amd high temps so my mind keeps going 1000 mph and then I have to bat the hope back down 😂

@thislittlebird I'm planning on trying to get tests to be monitored if they don't offer it. Glad your trigger went ok! Oh no, so sorry your massage wasn't nice 🤦🏼‍♀️ I feel guilty for recommending it now 🙈

@KatRee so sorry this cycle didn't go well for you, the fact that they got more eggs than you were expecting is really good though!

newnameanon1 · 17/09/2021 18:26

We're starting trying this weekend! Hi all! I have a 27 day cycle with EWCM on about CD12... when would you DTD? I'm such a novice!

Marvellouslymadmum · 17/09/2021 19:26

@newnameanon1 good luck! I definitely wouldn't rely on cm for ovulation, if I were you I'd get some cheap opk on Amazon and start tracking your ovulation and a bbt thermometer to track your temps which will confirm ovulation - some people can't just rely on opk as you get ovulation attempts (3/4 in my case) before actual ov occurs which can only be confirmed by the raise in bbt. For now I would dtd cd7-20 every other day to cover your bases though and get on the suppliments if you can 🤞🏻

AnxiousWannabe · 17/09/2021 20:44

Agree with @Marvellouslymadmum
I didn't know my body well enough and think it costed me a few cycles.

Personally it was a hassle for me doing bbt. And stressful too because at one point I was using multiple opks. Peeing and testing. And bbt.

Probably just bd every alternate days. Tiring but probably less stressful that way.

It's also good to run some blood tests - rubella, thalassemia, sickle cells to rule out issues before you ttc.

AnxiousWannabe · 20/09/2021 16:10

How's everyone ? Can't believe it's September already. Sigh

Misty84 · 20/09/2021 17:22

Hey @AnxiousWannabe, not much to report here, just waiting for my second round- will hopefully be Oct or Nov. Have no hope for natural conception anymore since finding out about DP’s anti sperm antibodies.

I’ve just been keeping busy by making nice plans with him and friends, and going to gym classes 4 to 5 times a week…it’s a good stress buster and mood lifter for me.
How are you?

AnxiousWannabe · 20/09/2021 17:50

@Misty84
Good to hear you are going to gym and finding ways to de-stress. I'm back to feelin hopeless and depressed. And anxious. Same old

Misty84 · 20/09/2021 17:56

@AnxiousWannabe It’s the calm before the storm; I know what an emotional rollercoaster ivf is now, so I prefer anything to that! I’ll be very stressed and scared again when it starts…
Sorry to hear you’re feeling all those awful emotions. We can all understand and relate. Is there anything/any activity that helps you feel better or at least calmer? Xx

thislittlebird · 20/09/2021 18:37

I really should do more exercise like @Misty84. I did buy myself a folding bike this weekend, I'm having an infertility life crisis. Nothing wrong with bikes, but I've never owned one as an adult and I might be overestimating my cycling skills lol.

I'm 6-8dpo and I have zero symptoms. Not a single progesterone, ovitrelle, or Letrozole, or regular old AF coming in a week symptoms. So that's fun.

Welcome to @newnameanon1!

@Marvellouslymadmum how's the temps? I sent you a long old message moaning about the massage, not about your rec, just my rage at spending £200 on treatments and the experience making me feel like crap after lol

thislittlebird · 20/09/2021 18:37

Oh and what @AnxiousWannabe said. People have had whole babies since I met them on MN and I've not left this thread lmao. Fml.
