kiwi17 · 04/07/2021 12:07

Ooh congrats @Treesall! So excited for you. Thanks everyone- feeling very pessimistic tbh and like it might not happen again for us :( on the 'positive' side at kicked in properly this morning so at least it was only 3 days of spotting this time instead of 6 although that's put me on a 26 day cycle this time which is unusual as I'm normally 29. Sorry @Babyghirl she sounds like she's giving you hell this month 😤

Babyghirl · 04/07/2021 12:13

@kiwi17
Knocking me for 6 lol just wana lie and watch Netflix, how's urs treating u 💚

H0peing · 04/07/2021 14:42

@Babyghirl which painkillers do you take, if any? I've found that taking paracetamol around every 6 hours non stop at the most painful times during my period has helped before. I used to wait until I felt intense pain to take them because I was trying to avoid painkillers but by then it was too late because it would take around an hour for them to start working and I was in absolute agony. I really hope that you start to feel better soon anyway. Xx

H0peing · 04/07/2021 14:49

@treesall congratulations!!!🙂 Has your doctor recommended any supplements or anything for you to take during your pregnancy? I know that some people have been prescribed progesterone in early pregnancy so I'm planning to ask my doctor about that but not everyone needs that prescription. Xx

Hi ladies, Is it OK to join in? I'm 35 (literally last week) and for my birthday present I had confirmation of a MMC. Been bleeding on and off since 5 weeks, baby never developed past 6 weeks, no hb, but was 9+ weeks before it was definite. I had a chemical in January at 5.5 weeks.

But I'm mainly suffering after the loss of my ds2, who left us at 21+4 due to a diagnosis of severe spina bifida alongside other brain /development complications. That was November just gone.

I only had medical management on Wednesday so still bleeding and having all the delightful stuff from that. I was at home so at least I had all the home comforts available but I've lost all motivation. I was taking so many vitamins and supplements pre this loss, I'd lost weight, was feeling healthy etc. I used soy isoflavones to get my bfp and am wondering about using them or not again once this is over with.

Babyghirl · 04/07/2021 17:51

@HOpeing
For the first day or 2 I take Co codamol it eases the pain home from work and bed with a hot water bottle and a film for me lol 💚

Babyghirl · 04/07/2021 17:55

@semiFeralDalek
So sorry for everything you have been through can't imagine what the late loss would be like awful thing to happen, glad you found us for support and to lean on, nothing is ever to tmi on this group so anything you wana ask ask away someone will always be on 💚

treesall · 04/07/2021 19:51

Thanks @H0peing. My GP didn't find anything wrong when she did the basic blood tests so referred me to the recurrent miscarriage clinic a few months ago. The wait list is looonnnng so I have seen a consultant privately. He ran his own tests and has put me on hydroxychloroquine, aspirin, and progesterone, plus intralipids infusions monthly.

treesall · 04/07/2021 19:54

@SemiFeralDalek I'm so sorry you have had such a bumpy ride, and losing your baby so far through the pregnancy must have been devastating. I can't imagine.

I have one DS and 4 losses since (2 mmc and 2 chemicals around 5.5 weeks) and it's hard to keep the faith that it will happen for us one day and we will actually get a second child. Sending positive vibes your way.

Herewegoagain2021 · 04/07/2021 20:02

Hello, hope you don't mind me joining. In the last year I have had a MMC at 12 weeks, a chemical at 5 weeks and a miscarriage at 6 weeks (no fetal pole).

So, I am now pregnant again (just found out yesterday). I should be happy and I am but I need not to become too hopeful. There are so many hurdles to overcome and all I can see are the things that go wrong and that pregnancy doesn't always equal baby.

I am taking 5mg of folic acid this time and hopefully will be prescribed progesterone in the next couple of days.

Here we go again...hoping for healthy baby but not getting my hopes up. Thinking of you all on your journeys.

Babyghirl · 04/07/2021 20:25

@Herewegoagain2021
So sorry for your losses but congratulations on your new pregnancy I knw what u mean abot getting a new bfp I have had 4 miscarriages and 1 cp and everytime I get a bfp it's nt if I loss its when and I never get excited fear takes over, but I'm now under the rmc now and when I get my nxt bfp I will get progesterone so hoping that helps, I have everything crossed this is your rainbow baby 💚

apwilso · 04/07/2021 20:25

So after telling myself I didn't want to do opks again as I've had 4 months of no opk testing... I'm back doing them. Curious to see if my cycle has changed. I was ovulating around day 18th.

I've just done one about half an hour ago and it looks quite dark considering I'm not long finished my period! Pulling quite light on the pic

I made a new thread before I saw this! I'm hoping you ladies can offer advice.

Had a MMC at 10 weeks end of March. For 3 months I had 3 rounds of medical management, an ERPC and a hysterscopy last week. I also found out last week theres ecoli in my uterus which is likely due to the retained product being in there so long :(

I'm seeing a different consultant next week in a different hospital but I really want to know is how this infection will effect us ttc. Do I need to wait a few cycles? I can't imagine the environment would be best for a embryo to thrive

Anyone experience this?

Babyghirl · 04/07/2021 20:33

@apwilso
What cycle day r you on 💚

apwilso · 04/07/2021 20:39

@Babyghirl I'm on day 9 xxx

cupcakesandglitter · 04/07/2021 20:52

Congrats @treesall ❤️ can I ask what fertility treatment you're on? I've been prescribed progesterone, I think I'm around 5DPO but I feel really sad and scared about starting it and I'm not sure why?
