OPK update in case anyone cares, I feel like today’s look stronger than the 0.7 the app is giving them 😂 but whatever, I’ll take it. Hoping for a temp rise tomorrow 🤞🤞

@Sparklingwine1 that’s actually so reassuring to hear that you had a lower opk score last cycle, and still ovulated. I thought if it wasn’t like 1.5, 2 etc then it didn’t happen but my body certaintmy seems to be trying.

love island is going down hill I think. Everyone is so “meh” and reminds me of people from past seasons! Faye is like Olivia.. Jake is like Finn with his foot fetish 😷 they’re all in it for the same and the insta followers now!

@HRP1990 I'm so glad I am not the only one who found the leak typo funny.

@SkeletonSkins somebody said to me on this group that a peak could be anything above 0.5. I believe that anything below 0.5 the pre mom app won't class as a peak (hence why I didn't get a '+' sign on my chart, because mine was only 0.49). I had the exact same ovulation symptoms with the 0.49 on CD 13 as I did with the 0.8 on CD 13 so although I was worried the peak was so low, I'm fairly confident that was still my peak day even though I didn't capture a super high OPK.

Since doing OPKs for two months I have never once got higher than 0.8. I will let you know how this months goes though as I'm going to be much more religious in how I use them and try and do at least 3 a day in my fertile week.

@Aries491 I think we are finally not cycle buddies any more ☹️ I am CD 6 but O day for is predicted to be the 9th July. We should still be in the TWW together though.

Thats good @HRP1990 glad you're feeling optimistic! I'm just looking forward to taking a more relaxed approach if I can this month. Been stressing about a wedding i am bridesmaid in at the end of April next year as if I do fall pregnant within the next 3-4 months even I'll either be heavy or with a teeny newborn. My OH just keeps saying don't live your life for anyone else, It could take us a long time to fall pregnant as you never know so if it happens it happens. Something would always get in the way i reckon if you tried to meticulously plan.

Aw man @Sparklingwine1, your cycles must be a little shorter than mine I seem to hover around 30ish days although last one was 34! We should indeed though, TWW buddies and fingers crossed for a positive end to it!

Agree on love island, its not the same as it used to be which is to be expected i suppose with it going on for so long. My OH now watches it with me and pretends to hate it but still knows who everyone is and speculates like the rest of us 🤣

I too have a wedding next summer @Aries491 which I’m a bridesmaid for but it’s abroad! So I’m also in two minds if we should stop for a month! If we conceived in a certain month I’d be too far gone to fly. But like you said you can’t live for life for someone else so it’s tricky..

It's really tricky isn't it @HRP1990 I'm the same in 2 minds if I don't fall pregnant this cycle just have a cycle off or just do the not planning not preventing method lol and be a pregnant bridesmaid rather than about to pop/with a newborn. Abroad is difficult with flying definitely, I would keep trying as I like to think most close friends would understand if you told them if you did fall pregnant as these things happen and you just got to cross that bridge when you come to it :)

The one I am at is only 45 mins down the road and my family are going so would have support if needed which would help :)

@HRP1990 honestly, my husband and I have been delaying starting for years because there’s always something in the next 9 months that would be more inconvenient with me being pregnant. I realised a few months back that I’d been thinking like that for too long and decided to just go for it and deal with the consequences. We figured it could take a while anyway so we couldn’t really plan anything properly.

I went a bit mad ordering concert tickets when things started getting announced again for after summer and now I’m facing the potential of going to a bunch of gigs whilst heavily pregnant haha.

@glasspaw good to read that and you're so right, it can take a while and if you fall pregnant you just deal with it whichever way is best! I like to think friends and that would be understanding anyway :-)

Haha you might get some priority seating if pregnant, always plus sides to everything 😀😀

@glasspaw it’s so true, there’s never a good time is there? That’s what people always say! 😂 that’s amazing and you get to do both! Be pregnant and still go to your gigs 🙌

Also it’s like.. would that person do that for you if it were the other way around? I’d constantly be thinking.. what is that was our month and we missed it 💔 it’s so tough!

@Aries491 as it’s in the UK I’d just deal with being a pregnant bridesmaid if I were you, you can always leave after the ceremony if it’s too much! But yeah the friend should understand, especially if they have kids

@HRP1990 that's my plan either pregnant or with a newborn if it happens, I'll have my OH and parents for support as well and can always just come home after it :) who knows I might still be trying then lol although let's hope not :)

I agree with you though you just never know and tbh if people really want to start a family, someone else's wedding probably wouldn't factor into the matter too much as selfish as it sounds 💗 it is really tough I agree with that! Xx

@Aries491@HRP1990 I’m sure your friends would understand if you got pregnant in the meantime, though that is so kind and thoughtful of you to consider pausing trying!!
I got married in a mini lockdown ceremony in December 2020 between lockdowns so we’re having a wedding blessing and big reception again (wearing my wedding dress) this December and my husband kept saying we should wait to try until around August so I wouldn’t be heavily pregnant in my wedding dress but I refused haha. When I got my positive test for my last chemical pregnancy I would have actually been due the week after the wedding! I’ve also got my postponed hen do next weekend with hot tubs and cocktails so wondered about pausing this month, then decided not to haha. I guess things will always come upside @glasspaw says, but I’m sure your friends will understand

Firstly love island isn't as fun as it used to be but I still love zoning out and watching it. The girls this year are all very glamorous and full of fillers etc. Usually they have a couple of more natural looking girls, it's not helping my self esteem 😅

Realllly hoping I get a temp spike tomorrow I have have ovulated today. All the signs are there - my EWCM has stopped, had several days of EWCM leading up to it, a somewhat positive OPK, and the cervix was high so I’m just oraying my body manages to get over the line today, as it will be sooo exciting to actually have a shot at a TWW for the first time as we’ve given it a good go sex wise 😂 If not, at least I know my body is trying and hopefully will try again in the next day or so.

@Aries491@HRP1990 my friends brought her baby with her to my hen do as she was BFing and he couldn’t be left, absolutely no problem for me and I knew that in reality my events were small parts of her life in comparison. I think you’ve got to go for it. We’ve got a cruise booked next May which will have to be cancelled if we do get a BFP as you’re not allowed to take tiny babies on cruises even if I wanted to! But it’ll be totally worth it.

That’s so nice of you. And it’s true, however big a wedding/hen is you’re essentially putting your own life on hold for a day/week. But it’s a whole month for your own circumstances when trying to conceive. I’d probably be thinking that if we didn’t try that month.. what if?

@KayL1988 they really do need to switch it up, it’s getting very predictable. I’ll still watch it lol but it would be nice to see all types of women on there!

@Aries491 yeah I’m hoping I might be able to get into the protected disabled zone bit for the Ashnikko show in December. I suspect it won’t be the easiest environment at 7 months pregnant otherwise 😬

@Mrsspoon3 that sounds lovely and is nice you can have a bigger celebration in December now after everything we've had. I think it's right to just go for it, I didn't realise until we actually started trying how much I want it, was quite blasé about it before.

@KayL1988 agreed so much filler! I'm not a fan personally but my OHs sister came over a few weeks back and she's had loads of filler done, was trying to get their mum to try she was like nah ill age gracefully now I'm over 60 🤣🤣

@SkeletonSkins congrats on passing 👏 and fingers crossed for the TWW!! that's lovely, I think i would be exactly the same if i was getting married and one of my friends fell pregnant, peoples lives move differently and are rarely in sync :) 100% will be worth it for a little one :-)

@Aries491 Yeah filler isn't my thing either but a small amount of well placed filler is completely different to the love island cast. They all have really swollen duck lips... whilst I'm just sat here with a swollen belly 😅🤣

I must confess that I get Botox!
Not for lines but because I get migraines.
I get the ten test amount in my hairline and in between my eyes and even though it's a tiny amount I do notice that my eyebrows lift and my forehead creases smooth out.
I would love to get it under my eyes too but it's crazy expensive
