@Marvellouslymadmum @Slk3558 seems like a lot of women had crap experiences on the pill! So frustrating as Ive learned more about it since coming off. I was on the combined and a few years ago started getting bad constant headaches, migraines and sometimes visual migraines when I couldn't see properly for 20 minutes or so. I came off the combined, tried the mini pill for a few months but it didn't work for me so asked to be put back on the combined and they did even though I was at risk of a stroke especially with headaches! Hoping to try the coil or something else in the future when the time comes.

@Slk3558 that makes sense. I've taken time off for some previous losses so my manager already knows we're trying/ were struggling so am thinking it might be a good idea, especially if my symptoms get bad and like you said I need any lazy days.

My office is still being renovated and not due to open until July which keeps getting pushed back and then going back we'll be allowed to go in at our own pace so am hoping I can do 1/2 days in office and the rest wfh. Super lucky they're being good about it.

@Marvellouslymadmum your bikes being trapped is hilarious, how typical you just get into it and then can't use them!!

Marvellouslymadmum · 15/06/2021 20:04

@Slk3558 I'm not sure which pill I was on, I had one for a few years started with an m I think then they changed it to celest can't remember why now but I was on those for about 11/12 years. I have irregular cycles lots of endo symptoms and a dodgy Lp 😂 mine ranged between 9-17 days very odd!

Marvellouslymadmum · 15/06/2021 20:07

@choccrumpet I think their answer to everything is go on the pill 🙄 I'm not sure what I'll do after ttc haven't really thought about it 🤷🏼‍♀️ I know right it's like the universe is against us bike riding! I had to crawl through the tiny gap in the front to get in the boiling hot back to try and open it from in there but was in there twenty minutes swealtering, Googling for England to no avail so gave up and crawled back out again!

choccrumpet · 16/06/2021 08:36

@Marvellouslymadmum yes it seems to be sadly. That must have been so annoying especially in the heat 🤣 hope you can get them out soon!

I braved a digital this morning and it came up with 2-3 weeks so seems right ☺️ my truckload of frers is coming tomorrow finally 😅 how's everyone this morning? Last day of the heatwave around here it seems

A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 · 16/06/2021 09:19

@Marvellouslymadmum was it mycrogynon? The cheap generic one, I was on this for about 15 years! I think I'll go coil like @Slk3558 mentioned. Annoying about the bikes! Hopefully calories were burning crawling about in the extreme heat!

@choccrumpet yay that's reassuring!

Marvellouslymadmum · 16/06/2021 09:23

@choccrumpet yay for the digital!

@A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 yes that was it!! Can't remember why they changed it now it was that long ago!

I'm hoping to sort the van out soon, it's annoying!

Slk3558 · 16/06/2021 09:41

@choccrumpet congrats on the 2-3 digital. 🥰 I’m scared to do a digi lol

Slk3558 · 16/06/2021 09:49

@Marvellouslymadmum hope you get it sorted soon so you can get back out riding in this nice weather 😍

@choccrumpet I might try and hold out a few more days ? I’m 21 dpo today. Don’t wanna risk getting a 2-3 it’ll make me paranoid lol

@A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 when did you get your 3+? Xx

choccrumpet · 16/06/2021 10:03

Thank you @A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 @Marvellouslymadmum @Slk3558 !

@Slk3558 I'm still unsure how far along I am. According to LMP I am 4+6 but according to ovulation I'm 4+1 so really the digital hasn't helped at all. It's only a few days difference so probably isn't that much of a deal. Do one if/when you feel comfortable, you don't have to 🤗

A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 · 16/06/2021 10:18

@Slk3558 I never did one after my 2-3, as got blood taken. I think I'd have got it at 19 or 20 dpo because the threshold is something like 2000 and I was above that then.

However I'm now stressing that my boobs are not at all sore this morning, so even having reached that threshold, I'm still worried so 🤷‍♀️🤦‍♀️

Slk3558 · 16/06/2021 11:57

@A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 sore boobs come and go don’t worry. I’m obsessed with mine too. Constantly prodding to check for soreness. My boobs aren’t sore really just my nipples now.

You’ve only got a week or so til scan haven’t you? Not long

A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 · 16/06/2021 12:12

@Slk3558 yeah I'm thinking I'll book next week when I'll be somewhere between 7 and 8 weeks. Are you having a scan soon do you think?

OP posts:
A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 · 16/06/2021 12:13

@Slk3558 yes to the prodding, mine will prob start hurting again due to the prodding purely 😂

@Slk3558 I know a bit more about @Marvellouslymadmum and @choccrumpet. If you don't mind sharing, where are you based, how old are you etc?

Slk3558 · 16/06/2021 12:59

@A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 I am from Liverpool 😊 I’m 27. Was on pill for 9 years came off as we felt ready to start a family and then had two mc in a row.

I thought I would get pregnant straight away have no problems at all .. was very ignorant about MC. And now here I am 🙃

Slk3558 · 16/06/2021 13:01

@A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 the EPU have said I can come in at 6 weeks for a scan.

Slk3558 · 16/06/2021 13:01

@A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 luckily im a 5 min walk from the women’s hospital

Slk3558 · 16/06/2021 13:04

I have a history of family blood clotting, my late father had a DVT and so did my Nan. But I did have a thrombosis screening 3 years ago and came back negative, so I’ve been swinging between blood clot / low progesterone as the causes for my MCs. Could have been chromosomal of course but couldn’t really accept that as two consecutive one month after eachother ..

Slk3558 · 16/06/2021 13:44

I have just caved and done a digi, came back with 2-3 weeks. Angry with myself. 2753 is the threshold for 3+. 😭 maybe I’m just under. Panicking now

choccrumpet · 16/06/2021 13:55

@Slk3558 digitals aren't always accurate, I've seen plenty of posts saying theirs never went above 2-3 and they're much later in pregnancy at the time of posting so I wouldn't worry too much about it. I've never had a digital show pregnant so mine was for the novelty of it really. I've got no more left and not sure if I'll buy any more.

Great news about your scan! Not long to go now. I missed my GPs call earlier so hoping they will call me back and I can find out the next steps for me. Might be too early but I'd rather know.

A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 · 16/06/2021 14:03

@Slk3558 you are exactly bang on 3 weeks so you're prob right on the threshold as it is 2-3. Plus they're not very accurate when they get to 3+ even if your hcg is over the threshold. My friend was panicking about not getting 3+, she gave birth last month. Don't worry. You have your scan soooo soon

A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 · 16/06/2021 14:10

And as @choccrumpet said, many people on the threads aren't getting a 3+ until they're 6 weeks. I can't bear those tests, think they cause such worry, and they've a huge margin for error as admitted in the studies.

I'm 36, live in London. Really only started this process autumn of last year.

OP posts:
Slk3558 · 16/06/2021 14:16

@A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 same .. I came off the pill in august.

@A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 @choccrumpet you’re right they just cause unnecessary worry I’ve just threw it in the bin in a huff. 🤣

I took the strip apart as saw someone else do that online and the line is more or less the same darkness so I think (hopefully) I was very close to the threshold.

A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 · 16/06/2021 14:44

@Slk3558 honestly I'd wait til your scan! I couldn't bring myself to do one for the 3+. If they were more accurate it wouldn't be an issue

OP posts:
choccrumpet · 16/06/2021 14:48

@Slk3558 I'm 28, came off the pill last July after being on it for 10ish years and started trying from august and live in Berkshire 🤗 sounds like it was and again it's not accurate so not exactly helpful!

Spoke to my GP and no extra early scans for me (according to her) because of my uterus shape ☹️ I was definitely hoping there would be 🤣 also my ovulation date only puts me at 4+1.. with so many symptoms and feeling crap?? 🙃
