@Slk3558 just scrolled back through my pictures and your line there looks the same as mine which I took the day I had my first blood hcg test. Level was about 1500. Just mentioning because I know I was looking at what hcg measurements people were getting with their lines to guesstimate where I might be at 🙈 you're probably not such a loser as me tho

@waves1985 I've finally ovulated from what I can tell so firmly in the tww now I think! And I would say if your af was early and only lasted a short while it's deffo more likely ib

Slk3558 · 14/06/2021 11:40

@A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 no I definitely am. I was Googling FRERs with beta hcg before 😂😂

A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 · 14/06/2021 11:51

😂😂😂 ha okay! Well it looks like an awesome line. Will you do a weeks indicator in the next couple days? Know you said you're nervous of them (I am too) but at least it's more quantitative

OP posts:
choccrumpet · 14/06/2021 12:53

@Slk3558 my mind keeps wandering! But agree that frers show better progression than other tests I've used. This is mine at 13DPO today

@waves1985 that sounds really suspicious!! Do you think you'll do a test in a few days just to be sure?

@Slk3558 @A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 got no issues with constipation if I need to get up at 6am past few mornings to go to the bathroom 🤣🤣🤣 and then go again multiple times a day.

@A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 im thinking about doing a weeks indicator soon but am quite scared too but feel like my lines are good enough to be picked up 🤞🏼

@choccrumpet I've done a test today but there's absolutely nothing there, unsurprisingly. My luteal phase has been 8, 9, 10 and now 7/8 days the last 4 cycles, so it's more or less in line, plus my periods are ridiculously light anyway. The BBT threw me off but I had a few drinks on Saturday so maybe that did it. Having said all that, I will probably test again in the next couple of days just to confirm even though I know it's highly unlikely! But that's what we do, isn't it! Got acupuncture this evening so hopefully she can help interpret also.

Your line is looking excellent too! Eeeeeek!

@Marvellouslymadmum that's good news! Now to the next portion of the waiting, fingers crossed for you xxx

choccrumpet · 14/06/2021 13:20

@waves1985 ah I see, that's a little frustrating, hopefully acupuncture can help lengthen it out a bit more and maybe make it more consistent. Sorry I can't remember if you've tried soy / took it this cycle? Yeah the bbt seems odd but it could be the drinks you had or maybe the hot weather if you're in the UK? Either way you should know in a few days! And thank you ☺️ it doesn't feel real yet, still can't believe it.

waves1985 · 14/06/2021 13:26

@choccrumpet I haven't tried soy yet, I was looking into it for my next cycle to bring ovulation forward as I had 31 and 21 day follicular phases, but this last one was back to 15, so i might wait it out this time and see if it sticks at around 15 again.

Does it do anything to help with a short luteal phase, does anyone know? EG if it brought your ovulation forward, would the luteal phase still be the same and your overall cycle just be shorter, or is it different for everyone?

choccrumpet · 14/06/2021 13:48

@waves1985 it helped @A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 with lengthening her luteal phase if I remember correctly. With mine it didn't change it. So I think it depends on each person. But it might help you.

Slk3558 · 14/06/2021 14:46

@waves1985 have you tried high dose vitamin B complex (100mg b6) along with vit E that got me my first BFP in dec. prior to that I had short luteal phase for about 5 months and always had horrible fibrocystic breasts. The B6 did sort it out I think.

@choccrumpet great line! Looks spot on for 13 DPO! Actually I had loose motions for the first week after my BFP, now it’s gone the other way!

@A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 yes I might do a weeks indicator on 21 dpo if I can work up the courage lol.

Slk3558 · 14/06/2021 14:50

@waves1985 but I’ve also heard short luteal phase is caused by weak ovulation which in turn means the corpus Luteum doesn’t produce enough progesterone, and soy can strengthen ovulation from what I’ve heard so you could give it a go. It’s worked for a lot of people. Also I’ve heard vitex worked good for people with short luteal phase. I started on it but stopped because was getting headaches.

waves1985 · 14/06/2021 14:55

@Slk3558 Oooo, thank you! Yes I'm on 40mg of V6 atm but my acupuncture lady said try 100mg so I'm just finishing the ones I have and then going to order higher strength ones next. Good to know!
And yep, from my blood tests, the initial diagnosis is exactly that, weak ovulation as a lot of my levels are too low (progesterone, oestrogen and FSH / Prolactin too high). This is really helpful, thanks!!

choccrumpet · 14/06/2021 14:58

@Slk3558 thanks! Haha that's good to know, not sure which one is better 🤣 this is about week 2 of it being looser / needing to go more. Have had a few odd cramps in the past hour.. making me really paranoid but there's nothing else. I'm exhausted from the heat, would rather lie down in a dark corner and veg out instead of working 😭

Slk3558 · 14/06/2021 14:59

@waves1985 if your pro lactin is high, I recommend you watch a video on VITEX. Its a power fertility herb which stimulates the pituitary gland to increase dopamine and reduce pro lactin, thereby increasing the other hormones such as progesterone. Sounds very sciency but I’ve read it’s specifically hormone imbalance when pro lactin is high. If pro lactin is high other hormones will be down. Worth a look into?

Slk3558 · 14/06/2021 15:04

@choccrumpet I get cramps everyday now lower back and some front. I think it’s just everything stretching … it makes me nervous as well I try to ignore it now

choccrumpet · 14/06/2021 15:07

@Slk3558 this one felt a bit stronger than the others and was on the right side lower down where I image the ovary is ☹️ yeah it's not a nice feeling (mentally) and I suppose physically. Trying to keep chill about it 🙃

Slk3558 · 14/06/2021 15:46

@choccrumpet Yesterday I had what felt like 30 seconds of quite sharp period cramps right down the middle. Needless to see I was knicker checking every 10 mins but I’m just trying to remind myself that there is so much happening down there how can we not expect some twinges/ cramps ?

A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 · 14/06/2021 16:05

@choccrumpet @Slk3558 there are so many weird tugging crampy feelings here and there, it's hard to know what to make of them. I also haven't tested since 18/19 dpo as it was stressing me out!

OP posts:
choccrumpet · 14/06/2021 16:34

@A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 @Slk3558 you're both right! Can't let go of the feeling that it's going to start happening again at any moment.. need to find some appropriate positive affirmations to help with the anxiety 🤪

@A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 that's big progress!!

My truck load of frers is nowhere to be seen. By the time I get them I won't want to use them 🙃🤣 what happens when I try get a better deal than on Amazon..

A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 · 14/06/2021 16:37

@choccrumpet you'll save them for your next pregnancy!!! 😂

I feel relieved not to do them, but am booking an early scan for seven weeks 🙈

OP posts:
choccrumpet · 14/06/2021 16:51

@A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 yikes I think I'm more likely to give them to a friend than to save, just in case they go off or something 🤣 I need them to come or else I'll have to buy more off Amazon and that was the whole reason why I didn't buy them there in the first place lol.

If that helps you then nothing wrong with it. I've not been in this position before so I don't know what the process is. Because of my bicornuate uterus I think I might be getting more scans and checks but no idea if they would start earlier or not. So planning on calling my GP this week to start the process of either checking my bloods or whatever else it is I need to do.

@Marvellouslymadmum after saying we haven't been great at cooking well recently, my partner is hungover today and I'm knackered so we're getting pizza 🤣 it's all about the balance

Slk3558 · 14/06/2021 20:40

@A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 definitely good idea to get scan at 7 weeks. It will give you piece of mind and break up that long wait to 12 week scan. Testing at this point is useless and that hook effect thing starts after 5-6 weeks where the control line starts showing again and you really don’t need any panic!!

It’s quite common for some women to experience a missed mc and get to 12 week scan to find baby stopped at 5-6 weeks Understand NHS is under resourced but I think all women should get scanned at 7 weeks.

Slk3558 · 14/06/2021 20:41

12 weeks too long to wait without any kind of observation / check up

Slk3558 · 14/06/2021 20:42

@choccrumpet if you can stomach the pizza I say go for it 😂

choccrumpet · 14/06/2021 20:48

@Slk3558 it's a crazy long time to wait for the first scan! I had pizza, felt fine after this morning apart from tiredness, the nausea is not constant so went away afterwards thankfully. Just want to crawl into bed right now 😭
