@Slk3558 wow no that looks like a GD reading. A lot of it comes down to food pairings. So if you added walnuts and pecans to the Greek yoghurt, and took away the honey, you might get an okay reading. Peanut butter on seeded wholemeal toast is a brilliant sugar lowering snack or breakfast. Cheese on everything - don't know why but it lowers readings. I ate heaps of baked Camembert with chopped cucumber etc and a little bit of nice crusty bread.

I think you will want to flag it because three weeks is enough to turn it around, and it's important sugars are stable during labour so baby's levels are okay when born.

Can't believe it's only three weeks away or so!!!!

@A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 thank you so much for the advice and tips. I have texted my community midwife she didn’t reply though but she’s coming next Tuesday to give me a sweep at 38 weeks so I’ll mention it to her again. Until then I’ll keep measuring post meals and make sure I have the nuts and cheese and low carbs etc. Did you do your readings 1 hour post meal?

Hope everything is going well with baby , are you breast feeding how is it going?

A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 · 13/04/2022 19:53

@Slk3558 how are you? How is everyone?

Sorry for the delay, baby was ill and in hospital when you messaged, and then I was ill and in hospital with an infection. We're all good now though and I just saw your message.

How are you getting on?

Marvellouslymadmum · 20/04/2022 20:46

@A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 I'm still plodding along here on first cycle of 100mg clomid and have been for 54 days don't think I've even ovulated get 😂 glad to hear you and baby are doing well now and all better

A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 · 08/05/2022 09:37

@Marvellouslymadmum im so sorry something is wrong with the app, I didn’t see this at all! How are you, any change since your message? I can’t believe you’ll have had another such long cycle, especially on Clomid. Must be sooo frustrating. How’re you otherwise, how’ve things been?

OP posts:
Marvellouslymadmum · 10/05/2022 09:08

@A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 happens to me all the time! No change unfortunately I'm now cd73 🤦🏼‍♀️ other than that not too bad, I've been worrying about it being menopause but my mind has been put somewhat at rest by the prospect of being able to use a doner egg even after menopause so I'm hoping there's still hope! I'm going to ring the gynae secretary today to see what they say. How are you getting on?

A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 · 13/06/2022 11:30

@Marvellouslymadmum I'm so sorry I've been having trouble with the app, but I just updated it and then saw your message. Really sorry you’re going through such a long cycle again.

What's the update, was the gynae helpful? You're too young for menopause surely? It's a real shame the clomid isn't working properly xx

OP posts:
Marvellouslymadmum · 24/06/2022 12:19

@A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 I haven't been on here much as it was all getting to me, the gynae was unhelpful and told me to take clomid anyway as I wasn't pregnant cos I'd had a negetive test but I just kept thinking that's not right! If I test now and it's negetive what's to say I didn't ovulate a week ago and could be pregnant now but it not show up so I waited! Perimenopause can start 10 years before menopause I think it's just average age if around 50. Hope you're doing ok? Xx

A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 · 27/06/2022 11:26

@Marvellouslymadmum I can’t believe they’re being so unhelpful. Well I can believe it, but it’s awful. Not surprising it’s all getting a bit much. Hope the gynae has illustrated what they can try in tandem with the clomid, or next, if it’s not helping your cycles xx

All okayish here thank you, looking to move to just outside of London, and having the hassles of chains breaking, trying to repair them, waiting around etc….

Marvellouslymadmum · 02/07/2022 14:56

@A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 nope she just said carry on until you've finished and that's all the help you'll get from us!

Moving is a nightmare, we have just found out our landlady wants to raise our rent by a minimum of £300 a month which we just can't afford so we need to find somewhere else too! Xx

A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 · 06/07/2022 13:31

@Marvellouslymadmum £300 a month, that’s absolutely bonkers. So sorry, that’s really bad of her. Ugh so you’re house hunting atm. And with a family as well. Really not ideal. That shouldn’t be allowed

OP posts:
Marvellouslymadmum · 07/07/2022 21:58

@A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 it's a crazy price rise but hey ho what can you do?!

Slk3558 · 28/07/2022 16:34

@A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 and @Marvellouslymadmum hello! So Sorry for the late reply. I didn’t get any notifications either ! I’m good. I had my baby girl on 13 feb! After all that panicking about GD she was born 5lbs and 12 oz lol! Don’t know if that means I had it or not though!?

the labour was fast progressing to begin with got to full dialation on gas an air and thought it was all going swimmingly but then her head wouldn’t fit through cause she was in a side position or something so I ended up having forceps delivery! So the last part was tough and had to have a spinal (like epidural) in case of c-section. once they used the forceps to turn her head she came easily. She’s absolutely amazing I’m so thankful.

how are you both ?

Slk3558 · 28/07/2022 17:16

@A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 forgot to add didn’t need induction in the end as went into natural labour at 39+3. Xx

Marvellouslymadmum · 01/08/2022 11:44

@Slk3558 congratulations I'm so glad it all went (relatively) ok! I'm ok here just on my last round of 100mg clomid then waiting to see what the consultant decides they will do next, if anything 🙄

A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 · 04/08/2022 15:00

@Slk3558 oh congratulations on the birth of your little one, that's lovely! Have you recovered all okay?

I'm okay thanks, we are currently away driving around in Europe for a few weeks. It's been a bit less chilled with a baby for us, but he eats well and can always find something for him. My dog has been loving it however, and we make sure to have a long walk every morning before it's too hot. Otherwise sheltering inside/ in the shade 🥵

@Marvellouslymadmum how is the last round going? How is moving house going?

Has anyone heard from @choccrumpet to see how she is?

OP posts:
Marvellouslymadmum · 06/08/2022 16:52

@A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 aww nice to hear you managed to get away, hope you have a lovely time!
Same as all the rest, thought I'd ovulate at normal time as it's the 3rd 100mg cycle and it's stayed in a pattern for both but nope now cd15/16 and not ovulated yet 🤷🏼‍♀️ not that it means much anyway but hey ho!

Not heard from @choccrumpet hope she's doing ok

A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 · 10/08/2022 17:30

@Marvellouslymadmum thank you!

Oh that's really annoying re the not ovulating yet. Wonder what your doctor will say about it. Seems strange if the clomid has made you consistently ovulate before, but not this time xx

OP posts:
Marvellouslymadmum · 29/09/2022 10:15

@A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 it's been up and down to be honest, it went in a pattern with both the 50 & 100mg month 1 was about 45 days months 2 was 90-110 days month 3 was about 30 days! All done with the clomid now and no success, body appears to be recovering quite well from it though as the first month off I had a 23 day cycle so seems to have done a reset on me! Hope you're well xx

A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 · 29/09/2022 12:45

@Marvellouslymadmum that must feel so great to have a short cycle, and hopefully it has reset you! Rubbish it hasn't worked though, must have felt like a huge let down each cycle. Have they suggested anything else to maybe help! Are you still on all the supplements?

I'm okay thanks. Waiting to move, scared the recent news will scare off my buyer, hoping it all goes through. We were meant to be exchanging and completing a few weeks ago, so living around boxes 🙄

OP posts:
Marvellouslymadmum · 29/09/2022 17:37

@A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 it was a let down every time, I'm glad to be off of it now! I was supposed to get a call with my consultant on Monday to follow up but that's been delayed for a month now!
I've let the suppliments slip to be honest but back on them again now.
We are also supposed to be moving but currently still looking for somewhere
