@Marvellouslymadmum that sounds like a really great course, and will hopefully lead to a fun and interesting job also! Sounds like you're in the thick of it though, with your daughter starting exams also.

@choccrumpet and @Slk3558 how're you both?

@A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 I'm okay, have had a few COVID related dramas over the weekend so a bit stressful still as it's impacting my visit to see family but hoping things work themselves out 🤦🏼‍♀️ am starting to feel a lot better pregnancy wise, eating better, no nausea, feeling slightly less tired maybe? Still waiting for results so almost ignoring pregnancy at the moment which is sad but it's the only way I can cope at the moment.. how are you doing?

A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 · 16/08/2021 13:30

@choccrumpet I'm really sorry to hear that, as it's been ages since you saw your family. That must be really sad. Hopefully you will be okay to get out there soon 🤞

All okay here thanks, apart from the one hour of cramps after the vaccine, I've not had any side effects. Had a nice dinner with some friends over the weekend. Not bored of work today!

OP posts:
choccrumpet · 16/08/2021 13:38

@A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 thank you, it completely ruined my weekend, I'm so upset about it but I'm hoping I can still work something out.

Oh yes that must have been a bit scary! No idea why you had them, hopefully a one off and sounds like it was coincidental with the vaccine but you never know. You felt fine otherwise since? We went for a nice breakfast on Saturday morning and that was the best part of the weekend, the rest was crap 🤣 so working today is difficult although going by quickly. Nice to hear you're not struggling because that's all I seem to feel recently (work wise).

A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 · 16/08/2021 13:49

@choccrumpet when will you be able to go again to Ireland do you think? Hope it works out!

Yeah I'm not going to lie, I was hugely worried afterwards, I was doubled over with period type pains. But they went after an hour or so. Hopefully it was coincidental

@A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 I'm trying to postpone it by only a few days but if anyone tests positive I'll have to postpone completely, probably to October as that's the best free time for me to go next which will suck as cases might be worse and I'll be further along and maybe more nervous to go.

Oh no I'm sorry that sounds awful ☹️ I'm glad they went away fairly quickly although it must not have felt like it. I know I get nervous every time I feel a cramp so that must have been so difficult. Have you got any more scans coming up?

A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 · 16/08/2021 15:26

@choccrumpet hopefully you manage to get out there very soon then. Will be sooo disappointing to have to wait until October, when it's been so long!

Marvellouslymadmum · 16/08/2021 22:05

@A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 yes hopefully! We've got one each year for exams and big birthdays as they're currently 13,14,15&16 and in consecutive school years 🤦🏼‍♀️ I had those kind of cramps with my daughter a couple of times, everything was all fine.

@choccrumpet glad you're starting to feel better, the next stage is movement (depending if you can feel it with your uterus), so a much nicer stage!

A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 · 17/08/2021 13:45

@Marvellouslymadmum do they all get on being so close in age? Hopefully it's not too much teenage angst all in one go, given you're ticking off all of the years 😅

Sorry @choccrumpet I missed your question, I don't think I'll have any more scans now until my 20 weeks one as I've had a few to date.

Will you go for the gender scan?

OP posts:
choccrumpet · 17/08/2021 15:33

@Marvellouslymadmum wow that's a lot of proper teens to be potentially dealing with 😅 I don't think I've felt any movement yet, not sure what I'm looking for yet!

@A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 I don't think we will be, not planning to anyways. It does seem like a long time to be going without a scan but we're doing things in between so I'm sure that will help take my mind off it.

Received a call from a midwife to say my NIPT came back low risk 😭 I'm so relieved but also makes me sad that the combined puts how many women through this worry unnecessarily.

A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 · 17/08/2021 15:42

@choccrumpet woop that's amazing!! That's brilliant news Choc. Stressful week waiting but lovely to know all is okay

OP posts:
choccrumpet · 17/08/2021 15:49

@A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 I know, this bit is finally over now and I'm thinking... what's next 🤣 what are they checking for next lol. What else do I need to worry about. This is not something I thought about when imagining pregnancy 🤪

Have you been experiencing any extreme tiredness recently? I have minus energy the past few days, just want to get back into bed, doing minimum at work etc 🤯

A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 · 17/08/2021 15:59

@choccrumpet hopefully this was the big one they had to check and it's okay now! But yeah I guess there'll always be something they're checking for 🤷‍♀️😬

No I've been feeling great, exercising more, and walking a lot. But I had a bit of a backslide at 13 weeks ish, got nauseous again and was sick. So maybe it just comes and goes!

choccrumpet · 17/08/2021 16:06

@A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 you're so good 🙈 well done, I've barely moved, need to try doing more. But I'm listening to my body and I know it needs resting 😅 hopefully better weeks ahead!

A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 · 17/08/2021 16:33

@choccrumpet rest up! It is nice when energy starts to come back more

Marvellouslymadmum · 17/08/2021 19:05

@A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 my two don't get on for the most part but that's more to do with the way my son is as the adhd/autism effects the way he behaves. My partners two do argue still but my two don't argue with his two in general which is good. My partners two don't live with us just stay so it's not too bad.

@choccrumpet you'll know when you feel it, with my son it was early around 14 weeks but my daughter was later more like 18. Great news about your nipt!

A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 · 17/08/2021 20:03

@Marvellouslymadmum hopefully they will get on better as they get older, must be tough. Lovely that they get on well with your DP's two though!

OP posts:
Marvellouslymadmum · 18/08/2021 10:28

@A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 they're better than they used to be in that they no longer physically fight and can get on on occasion lol

A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 · 18/08/2021 11:12

@Marvellouslymadmum was going to say omg, as an adult, but actually I've two sister and we used to physically fight 😂

A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 · 18/08/2021 11:12

We're now very close as adults, so did grow out of it !

@Marvellouslymadmum poor Misty, I read her message this morning and actually cried. She must be feeling so low today

OP posts:
Marvellouslymadmum · 18/08/2021 11:16

@A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 yes I used to physically fight with my sister too 🤷🏼‍♀️ and don't anymore.
I know It's so incredibly hard when ivf goes wrong, there was a lady on the other thread I'm on that failed twice only getting one egg that didn't stick then none the next time, but now she's pregnant naturally after never getting a bfp before!

A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 · 18/08/2021 11:21

Ahh see that's lovely news!

Just as well on the physical fighting, would like very bad at our age hitting and kicking 😅

OP posts:
choccrumpet · 18/08/2021 13:00

My brother and I fought physically (me sitting on top of him 🤣) for a long time. After that it was petty bickering, even into my early 20's. I'd like to think we are too old for that now 😂😅
