@Marvellouslymadmum yes I'm taking your advice and not buying any clothes! Will wait and see. I bet you do gorgeous murals after seeing your nail art 💙

How is your hand healing, and when're you due to start your meds?

@choccrumpet it is a lot to come out and feels annoying as it's temporary clothes! Good storage will be great, nice for everything to have it's place. Exciting thinking to buy a new place also, I agree. I'm loving rightmove daily checks atm, even though we can't afford to move just yet

@choccrumpet lol Im good thank you, just waiting to start my clomid rounds 🤞🏻

@A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 I actually love doing the murals, my children had some lovely things in their bedroom when they were little! My hand is getting better thank fully and I think I'll be starting the cloud in a couple of weeks as I think I just ovulated yesterday

A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 · 08/10/2021 09:54

@Marvellouslymadmum ahh that's exciting! So next cycle you'll get on them. I'm so glad it's moved pretty quickly after your appointment.

It'd be lovely to be artistic, I honestly wouldn't know where to start. Do you sell your murals locally?

OP posts:
Marvellouslymadmum · 08/10/2021 15:12

@A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 I actually can't wait! I spoke to the docs today who said I can collect the prescription next week 🎉

I mainly do local murals but may be able to go further away once I can leave the kids a bit more. I paint canvasses and stuff for people further away though

Slk3558 · 30/11/2021 13:10

Hello ladies ! I know it’s been a while just thought I’d check in!

@A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 @choccrumpet how are you both doing? How’s your pregnancies going?

@Marvellouslymadmum how is your ttc journey going? was it clomid you started ?

A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 · 30/11/2021 17:19

Hi @Slk3558 how're you doing? I'm okay thanks. But I unfortunately have gestational diabetes so can't eat much and having to take insulin. Means baby might have to be induced around the 37-38 week mark, which isn't very far away!

OP posts:
Slk3558 · 30/11/2021 22:38

Oh no sorry to hear that. You’re almost there not long to go. I’m doing ok 29 weeks now feeling tired though. How’s your baby shopping going

A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 · 01/12/2021 07:00

@Slk3558 my shopping is all done 🙈😂 I've bought it all in the sales. I'm thinking baby will be here mid Jan so wanted to be ready. How about yours?

OP posts:
choccrumpet · 01/12/2021 12:54

Hi @Slk3558 how are you both feeling?

I'm 28 weeks, feeling a little bit rubbish to be honest, very tired most of the time and am starting to get pelvic pain, aching in general, not what I expected pregnancy to be like!

A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 · 01/12/2021 13:23

Ahh no @choccrumpet sorry you're feeling a bit rubbish x

OP posts:
A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 · 01/12/2021 13:25

@choccrumpet I'm feeling okay / well, still able to exercise and walk a lot and work okay etc. But I have some complications - gestational diabetes, low Papp A, very big baby abdomen and shorter legs. Just a bit of a worry, and while I'm trying to manage sugar levels etc I'm at the hospital A LOT. But bizarrely feeling fine, except for insomnia, and missing all nice foods

OP posts:
choccrumpet · 01/12/2021 15:02

@A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 oh no I'm sorry to hear that. Very jealous that you're feeling okay for the most part, I'm starting to feel a bit broken some days. That is a lot going on, hopefully you're getting the right monitoring & checks with all of that? I've had quite a few extra scans so am in a couple of times a month sometimes.

I've also got low Papp-a & baby has bigger abdomen too, everything else is looking good, bar the bicornuate uterus although no one seems concerned about it still. I'm experiencing pgp and a few other unpleasant symptoms but am managing as best I can

Marvellouslymadmum · 01/12/2021 18:16

@Slk3558 yes I'm on round one of clomid - it's not going well 😂 currently cd41 and still no confirmed ovulation 🤷🏼‍♀️
How are you doing?

Sorry to hear you're both having complications @A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 @choccrumpet im Ute it'll all be worth it in the end!!

A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 · 01/12/2021 20:43

@Marvellouslymadmum oh no I'm so sorry, that's really annoying. Are they giving you follow up checks at all?

@choccrumpet yeah I've had an extra scan and some stress testing, then just lots of blood pressure checks and diabetes clinic. Got scans every 3-4 weeks from now.

That's so good no one seems worried about the bicornuate uterus, must give you a lot of comfort. Must be lovely to get the extra scans though. 🤞 the uncomfortable symptoms ease a bit soon

OP posts:
Marvellouslymadmum · 01/12/2021 21:04

@A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 I've had a scan which couldn't see anything on day 12,(ovaries were off on a wander) then a progesterone on day 21 but I hadn't ovulated then. I've got another progesterone I can do if I ever ovulate but getting fed up now! If it doesn't happen by the weekend I'll give them a call Monday and see what they say

A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 · 01/12/2021 21:55

@Marvellouslymadmum yes hopefully they can reassess, and maybe a different dose next time? I don't know if that's a thing with the medicine you're taking? Can see why you'd be fed up x

OP posts:
Marvellouslymadmum · 01/12/2021 22:30

@A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 yes if the 50mg doesn't work they can put you up to 100mg so will just see what's happening I guess. I don't think I've ever dtd so much in my life 😂 we've been going a minimum of every other day since about cd7/8!!

A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 · 01/12/2021 22:37

@Marvellouslymadmum bloody good effort!!

OP posts:
Marvellouslymadmum · 02/12/2021 10:14

I count about 26 times!! 🤞🏻🤞🏻 though I actually had a temp rise those morning, have to wait and see if it stays now!

A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 · 02/12/2021 10:20

@Marvellouslymadmum omg 🤞🤞🤞 then you can relax and not have to do it until next month 😂

OP posts:
Slk3558 · 02/12/2021 10:23

@Marvellouslymadmum fingers crossed you’ve ovulated. Once you’ve ovulated Count 7 days and get them to do a progesterone test on that day.

@A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 sorry you are missing out on nice food. that’s good you’re all organised. I think it’s better to be ready and organised especially as you get tired towards the end. I’ve got my travel system got ickle bubba one it seems ok for the price.

@choccrumpet you are definitely not alone, I’ve had heartburn continuously, sore tender stomach a lot of the time, constant pressure on my bladder, sore nipples the whole way through, breathlessness and fatigue, not to mention the horrendous sickness that lasted up until 16 weeks. It’s definitely not been easy but I’m so grateful to have gotten this far and be in my 3rd trimester. I’ve been spending a lot of time researching on new born essentials etc , I’ve no clue!

Marvellouslymadmum · 02/12/2021 10:35

@A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 yes let's hope so!!

@Slk3558 yes I've got one here ready as soon as I've actually ovulated! Had it here forever waiting 😂

A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 · 02/12/2021 15:56

@Slk3558 there were so many discounts and I reckon there will be again in Jan! Plenty of time to get stuff. We're working on the premise of getting as little as possible, so no changing table, no bassinet, no Moses basket, limited newborn sized clothes etc. And equipment that lasts longer than six months ideally. Friends have told us you need a fraction of the stuff recommended, so I'm hoping that's true 😂

OP posts:
Marvellouslymadmum · 02/12/2021 19:23

@A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 it's definitely true! And you'll find friends and family buy presents and give you stuff they no longer need to like baby baths etc

Slk3558 · 02/12/2021 23:31

@A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 yeh and I think it’s easy for first time mums to panic buy to cover all bases! So are you planning on putting him straight in the cot then?
