I’m so sorry you’re feeling this way @Mattieandmummy Just remember it’s sometimes darkest before dawn. Good news could be just around the corner. Xx

Good luck @Littlemiss41andfabulous hoping all is well and you get loads of reassurance, such a special day for you! Xx

Geriatric1234 · 20/07/2021 22:38

Good luck @Littlemiss41andfabulous!!!

99pctpractice · 20/07/2021 22:49

Congratulations @Catconfusion!!! That’s awesome news - all fingers crossed this is the one good egg!!!!

Good luck @Littlemiss41andfabulous ! Fingers crossed everything’s right on track!!

@Mattieandmummy I hear you. Looking into ivf and it is soooooo expensive and still comes with no guarantee of a positive outcome so could just result in being broke and depressed instead of just depressed! Hopefully the luck of this thread is catching and there are some more bfps at the end of the rainbow …!

Mum2baby07 · 21/07/2021 06:52

@Catconfusion congrats! That sounds hugely positive and I think sometimes with the good eggs you just know really early and this is one of those times :)

Lots of lovely stories on here lately about bfps. Thrilled for you all, genuinely, but confess first cycle TTC after mc and I was convinced I was going to get pg. Caught my peak opk then had cramps and stomach pains around implantation time plus other pg symptoms but now just before AF due nothing at all. 12 dpo and won’t test as no I’m not pg and feeling really down. How can I get through each cycle if it’s going to feel this disheartening all the time?
Sorry to be so miserable in light of so much wonderful news around but just feeling like my last chance was my last mc….. :(

Mum2baby07 · 21/07/2021 06:56

@birdbybird late to the party but:

Mum2baby07 TTC #2 (first with partner) age 42 8mths cycle #1 actively TTC with all the gubbins #1 chemical April 2020 and #1 MC June 2021.

Catconfusion · 21/07/2021 09:44

Thank you so much @Mum2baby07 and @99pctpractice

So my dental problem has come to head and it’s looking like I’ll need the extraction early. I’m so scared of getting an infection and losing the pregnancy. Also scared about the affects of the anaesthetic on the baby. Antibiotics seem safe but I still worry. It would have been sorted by now if it wasn’t for Covid. Just wanting to chill during such an anxious time and now I have this to deal with.

Sorry for the rant. Obviously we’re over the moon and so grateful to be where we are but so worried it’s just going to get snatched away. It’d be awful if it was due to my dental problems. Also worried that the stress will affect the outcome. Xx

Littlemiss41andfabulous · 21/07/2021 11:33

My baby is normal size with a heartbeat! I saw baby with its legs out like it was swimming, and then later put its hand to its mouth.

Came out and promptly burst into happy and relieved tears in the loo that everything is ok.

Due date 27th January so only one day earlier than I thought.

Me and DH off out to process the good news over lunch now.

Catconfusion · 21/07/2021 12:41

Yay @Littlemiss41andfabulous that’s fantastic news. I’m so pleased for you. Enjoy your lunch out. I remember those post scan lunches. It’s so lovely to celebrate such a big milestone. Xx

Catconfusion · 21/07/2021 20:16

Thanks @birdbybird for the list.

Can I just ask how much folate people are on? Ive started proceive first trimester tablets which have 400mcg. I was taking an inositol supplement as well which has an extra 100mcg of folate to make 500mcg. Research seems to suggest this is a good level. The only thing is it has chromium in it and my prenatal has it in too so I’m worried about taking too much so might stop taking the inositol. I would just take an extra Folate tablet with the proceive but i’m a bit worried taking 800mcg is too much. It’s so annoying you can’t get it in 100mcg tablets.

Think of me tomorrow. Im having the tooth out and I’m petrified. The dentist reassured me the anaesthetic and antibiotic I’ll need are safe in pregnancy but I'm still worried. Xx

GingerFox2021 · 21/07/2021 22:03

Congratulations, Ladies with BFPs! Lovely to read good news, so it gives more hope to rest of us.
Could you please remind me what supplements or vitamins you were taking before getting pregnant? Thank you!

Catconfusion · 22/07/2021 03:31

Thank you @GingerFox2021 I was taking the Zita West Vitafem when I fell pregnant with ds and this pregnancy. Also DHA and EPA. Proceive do a really good supplement with both in. Also 200mg of ubiquinol which I started 3 months ago. Now have a strong bfp so you never know. Both DH and I have also been on a Mediterranean diet over the past few months too. We’ve not been super strict but I think it’s helped being on it some of the time with cheat days. I hope that helps. Xx

Catconfusion · 22/07/2021 03:32

@October1979 you must be getting nervous. Not long now. Thinking of you! Xx

99pctpractice · 22/07/2021 06:42

Ah @Littlemiss41andfabulous that’s amazing news!! Hopefully you can relax a bit into the pregnancy now - it must have been a big relief!!!

@Catconfusion such bad timing, but it does sounds like it would be good to sort sooner than later, to make sure it doesn’t become infected. Also, the sooner it’s resolved, the sooner you can stop stressing about it. Fingers crossed the baby is snug and carries on sticking!!

Catconfusion · 22/07/2021 06:56

@99pctpractice I know, it’s the worst timing. There’s already a little infection in it. Google is so conflicting. General advice is to not do any dental work in the first trimester but I’m not even 4 weeks yet. My dentist isn’t worried and feels it’s completely safe at this point so I’m trusting him. Leaving it could pose a risk to the pregnancy.

I just did another Frer and it’s a darker line again today. I’m 11 dpo on my 4th day of increasingly stronger positive tests. Still taking each day as it comes but feeling really positive. Xx

October1979 · 22/07/2021 10:01

@GingerFox2021 I was on pregnacare conception as was husband. We both took vit c, d, selenium. I took ubiquinol coq10, vitb6 and 12.
@Catconfusion yes scan tomorrow morning. Not feeling to hopeful. My resting pulse rate is still low. Everyone else's seems to be at least 10-15 bpm higher than usual. I am not feeling to confident.

How is everyone else doing? Xx

sabtom · 22/07/2021 10:01

Awww so happy for all the BFPs ladies! And I hope to see many more TTC'ers join the BFP list very soon Thanks

I'm 9weeks today and have a scan coming up later this morning. This is a nerve racking one because my last MMC was found at the 8w 4d scan. I'm keeping everything crossed that the little bean's heart is still ticking away 🥺 ...... I though baby scans were supposed to be a joyful event?!?!? 😩

Littlemiss41andfabulous · 22/07/2021 11:32

At work now and will post longer once home but just wanted to send lots of love and hugs your way for this morning @sabtom xxx

October1979 · 22/07/2021 11:41

Good luck @sabtom hope everything goes well. Let us know how you get on xxx

OP posts:
GingerFox2021 · 22/07/2021 12:07

@Catconfusion I believe, if it’s infected now, it’s a good time to do it now and not wait till later. Infections can get worse and get more complicated if not treated so it’s better to sort this out at this very early stage. Fingers crossed all goes well with you!
@October1979 every pregnancy is different. I didn’t know I was pregnant till nearly 8 weeks with my 1st and didn’t have any symptoms at all through all pregnancy. I hope all
Goes well tomorrow to you and @sabtom

Catconfusion · 22/07/2021 12:52

@GingerFox2021 yes definitely needs sorting and now is the perfect time before too much is going on in the organ growing department. Apparently once there’s a placenta an infection can spread so it’s worth the risk. Xx
