Catconfusion · 17/07/2021 09:37

@Geriatric1234 sometimes it just has to be done 😂. I don’t think as a one off it makes a great deal of difference. Also why should the guys get to have a few drinks and we can’t! Xx

How are you getting on @sabtom?

OP posts:
sabtom · 17/07/2021 12:55

@October1979 all good thanks! I'm on my last day of isolation after testing positive for COVID, thankfully only mild symptoms. I have another scan on Thursday when I'll be 9 weeks. This will be the really nerve racking one as it was around 8/9 weeks last time when I was told the baby had stopped growing at 6 weeks 😩 Still don't have any major pregnancy symptoms, even my boobs don't feel as sore and the bloating has subsided. I'm still hungry allllll the time though. How's everything with you? Thanks

Mattieandmummy · 17/07/2021 13:09

@sabtom please don't worry about lack of symptoms, I have had zero symptoms in all three pregnancies until at least 10 weeks. Two of those pregnancies were miscarriages but one of those is currently asleep in her car seat so symptoms or lack of symptoms really mean nothing x

October1979 · 17/07/2021 13:11

@sabtom glad you are on the mend. I totally hear you with expecting the worse. It's hard not too. Stay positive. I've no real symptoms except sensitive boobs but I think they have lessened over time. I am obsessed with Ava and my resting pulse rate not going up. I don't know if this a Problem. How is yours doing? I have a scan next Friday when I should be 7weeks. It's a tough time hang in there xx

sabtom · 17/07/2021 15:59

@Mattieandmummy I'm doing my best not to worry but it's hard lol although I've had friends go through pregnancy with hardly no symptoms and even my acupuncturist said symptoms like sickness are a sign of imbalance so it's good I'm not having it.

@October1979 I've attached a pic of my Ava from last week and apart from the rising at the end (caused by COVID) you'll see my pulse rate continued to drop. But now the strap has broken on it so I haven't been wearing for the past few days, which I guess is good cause it was making me paranoid too. So I'd advice you to put it away now and forget about it until we need it again for TTC #2 Smile

@sabtom that's a good way to look at things that sickness could be a sign of imbalance. I'm going to hold on to that thought. I'm not feeling any symptoms apart from sore boobs. I've attached my Ava too. Let's hope we are both having completely boring normal experiences. Good luck with the scan next week. I have my first at 7 weeks next Friday xx

I really hope all is well at your scans next week @October1979 and @sabtom It’s such a difficult time for you.

I think being sick in early pregnancy is common but it’s not uncommon to have no symptoms. I know so many people who’ve breezed through early pregnancy.

I also think sickness can give false hope. I had hyperemesis and was put on bed rest with both my mmc and my ds and was told it was a good sign in both cases. It obviously wasn’t a good sign with my first and I was vomiting right up until my d&c. With my ds I felt exactly the same and it was a healthy pregnancy 🤷🏻‍♀️. I even get nauseous with very early miscarriages. It’s just how my body reacts to pregnancy. I don’t think it’s an imbalance. It’s not a good sign or a bad sign just a reaction to the hormonal changes. We all react differently.

So my point is try not to worry if you have no symptoms. Xx

October1979 · 17/07/2021 19:09

Thank you@Catconfusion. How are you getting on this month? Did you decide to go with the aspirin? Xx

OP posts:
Catconfusion · 17/07/2021 19:20

@October1979 I’m 6dpo now and I’m at the frustrating ‘so close yet so far’ stage of waiting to test. I started aspirin the week before O and progesterone at 4dpo. I got some cramping yesterday which has eased a bit now. It’s so hard not to read into symptoms.

I saw so many heavily pregnant women today and women with a child a similar age to ds and a newborn. It’s difficult to just get on and not think about our situation. I need to try a bit harder tomorrow to put it out of my mind I think.

Do you think the aspirin and progesterone made a difference? Xx

birdbybird · 17/07/2021 19:32

@Catconfusion I am also a bit sad these days.
Keep thinking if I hadn’t had a miscarriage I’d be 7 months along now :(

October1979 · 17/07/2021 19:36

@Catconfusion I know how hard it is. It's like life is on hold. At times I really need to force myself to focus on other things. I have my fingers crossed for you.
I'm unsure what made the difference. I did aspirin last month too. However this month started taking it at night instead of the morning as you suggested. It's either the progesterone or lady luck that this egg seemed healthier than the others that ended in chemicals. But still not out the woods. I have been getting lightening crotch as well. In fact that was one of the first things that made me think to test.
I think as long as you know you have the timing right it's a waiting game. Just waiting on that egg to appear xx

Catconfusion · 17/07/2021 20:22

@birdbybird aw I’m so sorry you’re feeling sad. The dates are the killer. It’s hard not to take note of the due date and think how far along you’ll be at certain times. I think that’s why my birthday felt a bit odd because I’d planned it three times over in my head with me being at various stages of pregnancy relating to my three losses. Annoyingly a close friend has the same due date as my last loss. My DH thinks I’m crazy for even thinking about the dates when those pregnancies were never going to progress but it’s hard. I hope you get some good news soon. Xx

Catconfusion · 17/07/2021 20:29

@October1979 I definitely think it’s good to take the aspirin at night. A consultant told me it works better while asleep. It could be the progesterone you know. I definitely think it helped with ds but then I started after my bfp with him and by then I’d had an ultrasound (just chance I’d had a bfp, they were checking my ovaries as I’d had pain but then saw the sac). So it was definitely not heading toward being a chemical. Nether the less it progressed normally from there so I feel it helped.

Interesting you’ve been getting the lightening crotch. I think it’s similar to round ligament pain, where everything starts to grow and move. I’ve not ever had it as early as this before so you never know. I think you’re right, it’s definitely a waiting game. Xx
