@CharWils so sorry to hear about your baby Jack :( so devastating xx my heart goes out to you x I remember you from the older threads x we are all here if you ever want to talk about it. Most of us on here are regulars now 😂 we are here to support you through your TTC journey x

@CharWils I am so very sorry for your loss. My deepest and sincerest thoughts are with you.

I am relatively new here. Have found these boards a tremendous help. I'm 38 TTC #1. After many years on the pill, I had a 101 day 1st cycle. Now on CD43 of 2nd cycle with not much going on. No ovulation yet. Waiting on blood test results. I have multiple LH peaks so have got a serious imbalance going on. Generally waiting on my body to wake up.

@CharWils since you were here in Oct we've had lots of tests done - including repeat day 3, repeat SA, more ultrasounds, an HSG and a laparoscopy + hysteroscopy. There's nothing wrong with us so we've officially been diagnosed with unexplained infertility. Next step is to apply for ivf funding but I might be changing jobs (can't stand my current company and boss) so am now considering putting ttc on hold potentially until the end of the year!

Morning ladies! My chart is being a complete troll 🙄😆

I will have to assume I ovulated on CD19 rather than CD15 as its much more likely I'm 12DPO rather than 16DPO!

I have been spotting for days now, and it's darker blood with the odd mini clot, so I'm pretty sure AF is on her way... in fact I could be convinced I'm having a super light AF and I'm on day 3, if my temps had dropped, but they haven't yet. I'm getting a few cramps this morning though, so maybe she'll turn up today.

I kinda just want AF to turn up now so I can book in my HyCoSy! The spotting is annoying, Grr... 🤨

She's here!! It least i know where I stand now... and I can book in that scan. Happy Wednesday!

@Kay00 that's a bummer but at least you can book the HSG now! We will have ours around the same time

@kay00 ha I can't believe she showed straight after that post! At least you can get the ball rolling on your hycosy.

@Juno231 haha, yeah... I think it was the temp rise that threw me... but then I had a couple of glasses of vino the night before .

I will also be having a couple of glasses tonight too as I'm off out to meet my girly friends for our first meal out together in over a year!

@kay00 well that will be lovely and will take your mind off AF :) Mind you I often have high temps until a few days into AF so I don't trust LP temps one bit

@Juno231 TBH i'm not sure if I am in full flow yet. I bled this morning, but that was because we DTD (sorry, TMI), and it has dried up since. My cramps this morning were little twinges and have stopped. I called the fertility clinic to book my HyCoSy and the doctor is going to call me back tomorrow to pin a date down. I guess it doesn't matter too much if my day 1 is actually tomorrow? Or am I on day 4 of a pretty light/spotting AF? I suppose the scan just needs to be between my period end and ovulation?

Oh @TheDaydreamBelievers I'm so sorry, how long ago did this happen? Did you had to have medical management after they found out? Have they looked into anything for you since regarding cycle length?

I'm really hoping I don't have secondary infertility but as I'm 35 in sept (NHS cut off age for funded IVF here) I really hope if I have any issues that they can still look to help me despite having fallen pregnant previously.

@Kay00 I'm sorry you haven't had your BFP, hopefully the tests will get you some more help. I am apparently in my fertile window tomorrow but still getting very low readings on OPKs and trying to go just off those and dates instead of temp tracking initially. I hope I am ovulating but I have no idea! I think even though periods can come back straight away like mine have the ovulation does not necessarily happen as quick?

Thankyou @Moocher90, so good to see this group is just as supportive as it was before! Thanks also to @Kat668 and @Tillybabs what are your story's? Sorry if people are getting annoyed with retelling/reseeing things but it's good to get up to speed!

Thankyou for sharing @WhirlingD - hoping your body wakes up soon... I really wish knowing what I know now about how difficult the whole having a child thing is that I hadn't worried so much when I was younger!! Imagine you can probably resonate with that as most of you on here probably can!?

@Juno231 glad you have had all the tests, think you were trying to push to get some answers last time we spoke. Pretty sure you mentioned hating your job last time too? How do you feel about waiting till end of the year?

I am just using the Femometer OPKs that I have leftover from TTC Jack, I found these good last time although I didn't get a peak until after the 2nd period when I conceived him. When these run out does anyone recommend the clearblue ones that connect to the app? Not sure if they are a waste of money or not?

@CharWils conceived in September, found out at 12 week scan in november, surgery at v end of November. Then 9 weeks to test negative. The NHS will scan me at some point for cycle length but will not offer anything in relation to fertility until we have been trying over a year, which they will now count from Dec 2020 as they only count from after the loss. So, just really flat and over it all. Have been away from this thread a lot because even though everyone is lovely im just struggling with it. Thinking of going private for testing.

@TheDaydreamBelievers I can imagine you are finding it very triggering at the moment! Happy for you to message me privately if you want to keep talking and find it easier.

Bless you - how many days from finding out until medical then? Jack was in me for 3 days including day of finding out and giving birth to him and that was probably the most traumatic part apart from not having him now so I really feel for you.

That's awful they only count it from December regarding for fertility treatment, guess that counts me out if I need any NHS help this time also 😢

How much are private tests? Sounds like it could be worth it.

@CharWils I came off the mini pill in march to TTC for #1. Turned 30 this year. Had 49 days till my first AF then had a 27 day cycle. Tried OPKs this month, said I ovulated on either Saturday or Sunday so now in the TWW! :)

@CharWils I wasn't here back in October, but I'm so so sorry for your loss. Please don't feel like you can't talk about Jack, he will always be your baby ❤❤

@Kay00 sorry af has possibly got you, hopefully it's just post dtd bleeding?

I'm away at the moment with family so not keeping up with the thread very well.
Cd5 today, AF ended yesterday but it was odd, very very light. Only really had 1 day off full bleeding, other days was slight (enough to need a pad but a tampon would've hurt). Based on last cycles data I'm due to ovulate around next Thursday / Friday. Jumping on OH from the weekend haha!!

@Sunshinedaisybuttermellow my AF was weird this cycle. Normally have 4 days of bleeding but only had 2. On CD11 and getting ovulation pains so hoping it’s imminent. My opk reader on premom suggests I got a peak reading today . Will test with my CB monitor 2mo though as well as got a flashing smiley this morning.

@Moocher90 oh fingers crossed for ovulation! If it happens in the next couple of days do you think you'll have covered it OK?
We are literally staying in a caravan with family, sharing a bed with our 3 year old so hoping ovulation doesn't happen early this month for us! Would have literally zero chance haha.

@Sunshinedaisybuttermellow we DTD last night and waiting for him to get home now, precious to that was 3 nights ago so hopefully will be enough x

It’s so hard to DTD let alone when you trying for baby number 2 😂

I just have to contest with DH shifts and stay up late to be able to DTD 😂

@kay00 yeah you can do hycosy any time of the month but they like it to be post AF just to be double/triple sure you're not pregnant.

Got my fertility appointment at 9am today so will keep you posted!

@Juno231 good luck at your appointment today. Yes hoping for a clear ovulation with higher temps over the next day or two!

@Sunshinedaisybuttermellow @Moocher90 My period is being really odd too... I have had 3 x days of spotting (very light, but dark red/brown old blood), A flash of red blood after sex yesterday, then nothing, then 1 x clot last night, then nothing again? I wonder if this is the effect of the vaccine?

@Kay00 I had my vaccines in January and March and didn't notice any difference those months but I was still on the pill at the time. This was my first "real" AF in about 14 years because I caught first month off the pill with my daughter so never actually had a period. Maybe it is what I would've been having if I hadn't been on the pill. If so it's a major improvement because they used to be horrific haha.

@Juno231 hope your appointment has gone well! What sort of thing did you do?

So they called 71 min late in the end and it was so shit lol. Purely a recap of my current situation/lap results... what's the point of that?

She said next steps would be IVF but that it's very invasive and they'll only consider it once 2 years have gone. How long have you been trying she then asks me - I point out 2 years is next month (per their records anyway lol, they don't need to know I'll only be 20 cycles in then) and she went "oh, well I guess I could refer you to the funding assessment".

I asked for her to get that process rolling and asked what the timelines are (seeing as I was worried I might have to postpone it due to the new job) and she said it takes a month to just get the paperwork and then they follow an 18 week pathway for IVF but it might be longer due to covid... so def getting that ball rolling now!

Hi all,

As predicted my period came yesterday. I strangely haven't even cried. I am cycle 19 and don't really feel like there's that much hope anymore, although of course when your waiting you can't help but have a little inside. Try to be positive, but ultimately don't feel like it will actually happen?

I do wonder if I'll ever have a period not turn up and get to test and actually see two lines. Right now it feels like a far away dream.

A year with the hospital so I could be able to get pregnant, then 19 cycles, it has been way over 2 and a half years since I began this whole journey. Some won't count my first year, but it was part of my journey to be able to have a baby, so I do.

I just feel a bit numb today.

@Lovebug06 I'm sorry AF showed - it never gets easier :/ Our reactions change towards it but either way it chips away at our hopes and dreams. Remind me, what did you have to do to start TTC? Did you have endometriosis or something similar?
