@notyetamumbuttrying amazing news! The sceptic in me always wonders if they try and push stuff like icsi even when not needed because they make more money out of it... How are you feeling? was it sore?

So sore! In my vagina rather than my uterus. They shove something up you to open you up and I was still with it when that was going in!

@notyetamumbuttrying oh yes I completely forgot you went the NHS route! Well I hope they knock themselves out then lol - can't wait to hear how it goes.

@Juno231 yeah we get one round funded and the funding didn't take too long in the end so went with it. Here's hoping it pays off and we get a haul of embryos! Gonna be a long 24 hours 🥱

@polejunkie hehe!! Oh it will! Any headaches yet? When's baseline scan booked for?

@notyetamumbuttrying No I’m all good but I am constantly going for a wee lol - not until 16th June I think, seems so long to wait!

@polejunkie yeah I was too but not until stimming which is odd as they said I'd pee less 🤷🏾‍♀️ once you have the baseline scan, it whizzes by! The bit you're at now is the longest part.

@notyetamumbuttrying yay! That’s an awesome amount of eggs! Fingers crossed for a good amount of embryos too! Sorry you’re feeling a bit sore, hope you’ve got your feet up and are being looked after by DH!

@Motherofkittens28 oh that’s great that you can get meds to delay it, I had no idea something like that existed!!

@crazycatlady1981 just reading about attrition rates...looks like on average 8 are mature eggs, 5/6 are embryos and then potentially 3 make it to day 5
Not the best outcome after 10 follicles eh!

@notyetamumbuttrying amazing news! Not so good about being awake when they started. I woke up with them still finishing which was a bit of a shock 🤣 10 is good though. I had 12 and ended up with 6. My friend had the same and ended up with a few more so don't worry too much atm. Just rest and heal

@Crazydoglady123 yeah I remember you saying! Horrible 😖 I woke up and asked for my Dh 😂
Ok will try to. I'm hoping for 5/6 embryos so I just hope they all make it to day 5 🙏🏾

@notyetamumbuttrying I hope it picks up pace, kind of feels like nothing atm - don’t get me wrong I’m super grateful to have started IVF but it’s wait after wait it seems. Fingers crossed you get lots of day 5s, looking forward to updates. Meanwhile rest up as much as possible 🙂

@polejunkie I know exactly what you mean! It defo will after that baseline scan. It felt real after that for me and then just flew by, honestly! I can't believe I might have embryos tomorrow 😱 Thank you hun, will do. Xx

Thanks guys. Scan done and we can confirm we're having TWINS! Two healthy heartbeats! Me and my OH cried our eyes out with the sonographer. I've been to her so many times over the years when I've had cysts or over stimmed on clomid which made it so right that she was the first person to see our babies with us ❤️
I'm so emotional still right now but I feel so grateful we've got this far so quick on our IVF journey. So many women have to endure so much more than we did and I wish it could be easier for those people.
Obviously we still have another 6 weeks to get through to be out of the woods but right now I'm over the moon

Yeah I prepared myself for less so anything over in my eyes was a bonus. How are you feeling today @notyetamumbuttrying? Good luck for your update.
