So no egg collection date for me! Instead I have to carry on injecting and scan again Saturday. Hope they grow by then!

@notyetamumbuttrying poop! Hope you're feeling okay about it? Any clue how many follicles you've got brewing?

So had my Lap this morning. Thank you for all the wellwishes. Nothing groundbreaking just some mild endo behind my womb which was removed. Consultant didn't think ot would contribute to fertility issues so officially unexplained sub-fertility so I'm going to contact the GP specialist and request we get put on the list for IVF.

@Juno231 bit glum but it is what it is. 11 which is less than previous scans so that's a bit shit too.

@notyetamumbuttrying oh that’s a bummer! ☹️ What stims have you been on? Keeping everything crossed that they grow nice and big by Saturday! 🤞🏻Make sure you’re having lots of different proteins!!

@polejunkie 😊 we’ll probably be starting ovaleap at a similar time. I’m starting it on 16th June.

@notyetamumbuttrying 11 is still great - fingers crossed they are nice and plump come Saturday.

@notyetamumbuttrying @Juno231 yep I second that! 11 is a really good amount! A few more days of stimming should help and then doesn’t the trigger make them grow that extra bit? Sending you a big virtual hug! 💕

@MIW01 I'm so sorry I didn't realise that was today! The endo may have some impact as they can't see 100% everywhere but it will help with pain and fatigue getting it removed. Is it just straight gynae you've been seen by and that's why you need re-referring ? Gynae is included in the infertility clinic and consultants cover both, got my gynae investigations through them as part of process.

@notyetamumbuttrying 11 is a good number, try and keep your chin up, I had to stim for 14 days my first cycle in the end but we still got an embryo from it.

So we had our review session today and they basically told me there is no point in having any more fresh ivf cycles as I have less than a 10% chance of achieving a pregnancy with my own eggs. Crushed doesn't begin to cover it! They did say they would report the astra zeneca issue to their clinical group and see if a trend I emerging that needs reporting further up the chain. She said it wouldn't surprise her if that was the reason we got zero fertilisation but noone has done any research on this yet. Glad to be a guinea pig!

@crazycatlady1981 300 menopur and still taking buserelin but a low dose (20).
Gonna eat all the fish and veg these next few days! Out for Thai food night so will pick well!
@Juno231 thanks mate! How's your symptom spotting going or do you not bother anymore? I stopped after 12 months as every month was something different to mess with my head! 🤪
@crazycatlady1981 I think that's the point of it, no ones actually told me 😝 so will have a google. I'm fine now actually, thanks for being so sweet 💞
@Motherofkittens28 thank you, will do! I keep hearing that 9 days is early and they grow by day 14 so I'm prepared for more days of this to get nice juicy eggs!
Oh wow to the vaccine stuff! Awful that we're being the guinea pigs tho! Pleased you have your eggs on ice still to use. When can you thaw them and get them fertilised?

@notyetamumbuttrying we are trying to aim for every other day for as much of the month as we can! Rubbish that you haven't got a collection date yet, they're elongating your long protocol! 11 isn't bad though as long as they're all nice and long for collection

@Motherofkittens28 sorry the review didn't go well, and rubbish about being guinea pigs! My oh had his jab 3 weeks ago today and his sa last week so we should get results of that by next week, will see what it says!

@notyetamumbuttrying we have our initial consult in about 4 weeks, I know they like to observe a natural cycle and test all your hormone levels etc so I reckon August or September by the time we can give it a try with frozen eggs. Just feels like such a long time! I know I'm very lucky to even have those eggs to give me a chance.

@Motherofkittens28 oh my gosh that is my dream theme enchanted/fairytale 😍 That's so bad that they said that and scary to think the vaccine could have been the cause the eggs didn't fertilise!

@notyetamumbuttrying mine had more follicles pop up. Was that 11 in total or 11 of a decent size?

@Motherofkittens28 oh what - when in relation to IVF did you have your vaccine again? I'm sorry the review wasn't positive but I am grateful you had the foresight to freeze some eggs!

@notyetamumbuttrying I try not to symptom spot as I'm pretty sure I've not only had them all but have something every month. I sometimes can't help myself if it's extra unusual for me though, eg triphasic chart or that nosebleed I had in August that made me so happy 😅. Since I had the jab yday I can attribute anything to that now to keep me somewhat sane. Eg my increase in rhr and temp this morning...

This vaccine stuff really bothers me, I’ve been called but there is no way I’m going in the weeks ahead of egg collection (personal preference) but my OH had his and now I’m worried about his sample 😬

@Juno231 I haven't had the vaccine, I was called a couple of weeks ago but don't intend to have it until I've managed to get pregnant. My OH had his second jab 6 days before egg collection. The clinic are now saying though that his sample hadn't actually changed that much motility went from 48% to 44% but when they prepared the sample it was only 70% motile vs 93% last time, their cut off is 80% and they do ICSI below that. Not sure how a 4% drop in overall motility translated into a 23% drop for the sample but that's what happened!

@Marvellouslymadmum good pattern! Yeah it's not called long for no reason 😂 yes agree, as long as they all get to size and get collected, I'll be happy with that! Good luck with next weeks results! X
@Motherofkittens28 ah ok, I can understand you wanting to get on with it sooner but hopefully all the observations pay dividends!
@Crazydoglady123 good question as I had 15 at the baseline scan so I was shocked to hear 11 today. Maybe they didn't bother counting the ones below 6mm then...6 was my lowest, 12 was my highest so we've a way to go to reach 18! Lining was good tho at 9.1mm.
@Juno231 yes very true about attributing it to the vaccine instead! Bloody vaccine potential messing up our cycles. I was so sure I wasn't gonna get it and then I just folded when that text came in 😂
@polejunkie I'm ok now that I know it's normal for them still to grow in this time. I didn't realise this to start with, not sure how I missed it considering I'm on an ivf thread on here too 😆
We've both had our vaccine now (last Sunday) and EC is even further away now so probs a good thing really!

I am getting the vaccine nexr week :D 29 so didnt think they got to my age yet!

But interesting to see how its potentially impacted. We are still months away from my surgery anyway so I dont think it will affect me. Plus seeing the impact covid has on pregnant women esp 3rd trimester made me want to get it before if possible!

@Annny27 they've been so quick with it! I beat my sister who is 3 years older than me! Omg I really am, but needs must and all that! I'm already feeling like a frog about to spawn 😂 god knows what I'll feel like if I have to carry on beyond Saturday 😱 I bet I will as well! You ok then hun? X
