@Motherofkittens28 that's interesting, glad you're not being charged. My OH has had his vaccination and his mobility and motility were low, god knows what state the little swimmers will be in now!! How are you feeling?

@polejunkie I'm ok, a bit sore and nauseous. I collapsed when they tried to get me up off the bed at the clinic, I think they tried to get me out too fast!

Interesting re vaccine, my dp had his 4 days before his sample! Really hope it hasn't messed things up.

@Motherofkittens28 glad you're home and recovering. You get good fertilisation rates with ICSI so hopefully both fertilise for you 🤞

@Motherofkittens28 oh how interesting! Dh had his vaccine on Sunday and we're due egg collection end of the month 😬 we're nhs tho so they can do icsi if needed. Very good of the clinic not to charge you!! Please rest up 😘

They’ve all given birth now and got sent a photo of a baby today. I can’t look at it yet, I have too much work to do and might have a meltdown.

@Motherofkittens28 totally understand you're not feeling great about it but if you look at it this way you have double the chances of last time! 🤞🏻 that's good that the clinic aren't going to charge you for the isci, my oh had his first Covid jab a couple of weeks ago and had his first sa today so will be interesting to see the results!

@thislittlebird I totally get you not wanting to look at the baby photo, it's so hard!

@Motherofkittens28 good to hear that you got more than last time and hopefully the Icsi will fertilise them both! Would you have 2 transferred if they both do well or freeze one? That’s annoying about the sample and vaccination though. How long ago did your OH have it? My DH has his second next week, really hope it doesn’t affect things!

@Sjhigs yes defo! 💕 Have you started your ivf pills today? My injections are starting on 3rd June.

@polejunkie any news from your clinic yet?

@crazycatlady1981 he has me on the contraceptive pill now my meds start on the 18th June x

@crazycatlady1981 I'm pretty sure we would only put one back unless a second embryo was too low qualto freeze. We had always agreed only 1 child so wouldn't want to risk twins (think OH would have a heart attack).
He had his second dose on Saturday, we had expected egg collection wouldn't be until 24th so thought it would be over a week after his jab, but then everything accelerated.

@crazycatlady1981 I called today, they said I’m being processed, I called my satellite too and they said not to worry but would send a chaser email to Ox. I’m sure it’ll be fine I just have to assume I’ll get meds in time (latest weds, ready for thurs am!) thanks for asking - how are you feeling? x

Oh ladies, I'm feeling really low now. I know I should be grateful for 2 eggs but it's such a tiny number, I feel like a failure as a woman. It doesn't help that I'm home alone as my OH won't be back until tomorrow, I'm also quite sore. Wish I had a giant piece of cake right now!
I'm terrified for the fertilisation call tomorrow. I really hate this and I know the next 5 days are going to be torture waiting for updates

@Motherofkittens28 I know nothing I say will help you feel better but you absolutely are NOT a failure as a woman! Please don't think like that, you're giving your everything to ttc and it's bloody hard, especially going through the same things over and over again. Try and distract yourself with a no set or a book maybe? Is there anyone you could call for a chat? The next few days will be difficult and nerve wracking but we all have every hope for you that those little eggs will fertilise xx

@Motherofkittens28 I’m so sorry, sending you a big virtual hug. It will be torture waiting but you really have fine all you can, agonising over it won’t change anything - those eggs futures are already mapped out. Try and relax, take pain relief and be kind to yourself - it’s so hard but you haven’t failed, you only need 1 happy egg x

Thanks @Marvellouslymadmum, @polejunkie. You are right, what will be will be and there is nothing I can do now to change that. I'm trying to distract myself with TV but just can't focus on it. I should probably just put myself to bed and hope to feel more positive tomorrow. I can hold on to hope and be even more glad I have my 6 frozen eggs from my younger days as its looking more and more like I'm going to need them!

@Motherofkittens28 sleep will definitely do you good and you could definitely have a great chance with one of your frozen eggies!

@Marvellouslymadmum I feel terrible for not looking at the message and replying. I’m having a down day today so I’m hoping I will be better tomorrow and can face his baby photos

@polejunkie that’s good! Sounds like it will all just suddenly happen last minute which is probably better as Ive found I have too much time to think about it! My meds arrived yesterday so I went through them briefly to check that everything was there and then had a little wobble about it all and hurriedly packed it all away again so I didn’t have to think about needles!! 🤦🏻‍♀️ I’ve always been really squeamish so I’ve got 2 weeks to get my shit together! 🤪

@crazycatlady1981 is that two weeks until first needle? I think I'm nervous it won't happen, at this point I would of expected to know more about my meds and schedule I guess... maybe its because I'm NHS... Not a paying customer!
Packing them away is the right thing to do, try not to overthink it, you'll be fine x

@polejunkie yep first injection on 3rd June! I felt the same, it’s so frustrating, I wonder whether they prioritise private over NHS 🤔 Until they actually confirm meds & timetable it feels like it’s never gona actually happen! I thought theyd just keep fobbing me off for a few more cycles!! But if they already told you it’s this month, surely they can’t go back on that?🤞🏻The most annoying bit was that we ended up missing a month of trying naturally last month because of them messing us around!
