@Teachermummy83 sorry it’s so dispiriting getting CD1 😔 If you cant moan here with others all in the same boat, where can you

MgW1 · 17/05/2021 21:20

@Teachermummy83
Dont apologise ! Its such a waiting game , im a year in now x

Misty84 · 17/05/2021 21:46

@Teachermummy83 CD 1 is the worst. So demoralising. I’m nearly 2 years trying to be a mum, never seen a BFP (apart from pics of other people’s!) ☹️

Teachermummy83 · 17/05/2021 22:01

Thanks ladies. I know it's a waiting game, we've been here before, almost 2 years, hubby had his op, tried some more...... I thought it'd never happen but we eventually got there.
This is only cycle 4 of trying for number 2 so not long at all really, but we've been using all the tricks we learnt last time. I was just hoping to avoid this time might be easier. Anyway, time to snap out of it, give me a slap someone!

notyetamumbuttrying · 18/05/2021 07:38

@Misty84 same as me! Were similar situation from memory. Are you going down the ivf route? I'm due egg collection end of the month as starting my stimming injections today. Praying to finally see a bfp next month! 🙏🏾

Misty84 · 18/05/2021 07:49

@notyetamumbuttrying Ahh it’s nice to have someone who’s been trying the same length of time! Yes my IVF starts in August. I have to go the private route due to eligibility reasons. Is yours private or through the NHS? Can’t believe you start injections today 😱 I’m so nervous about that part as I’m terrible with needles haha! Let me know how easy it is to do and how it feels!! Wishing you best of luck!!!

Bundaberg84 · 18/05/2021 08:28

@VixFromThe6ix implantation could be anywhere between 6dpo and 12dpo. On average, it's going to be 9dpo. And since it takes at least 48 hours for hcg hormones to "develop" (in lack of a better word), most pregnancy tests will still be negative if you test earlier than 11 or 12dpo.

ImpatientTTCer · 18/05/2021 08:53

Morning ladies!

They’ve just announced the covid jab is now bookable for 36+ ...... I’ve seen that it’s playing a bit haywire with periods because of its affect on the immune system, and obviously we’re all trying to work out our cycles exactly right now..... I don’t know what to do!! Just have it done ASAP and deal with a month or two of “off” periods (hopeful worst case scenario!), or.....?

What are your thoughts?

notyetamumbuttrying · 18/05/2021 08:59

@Misty84 ah yes, I remember now. Nhs for me, just the 1 round so hoping we get embryos to freeze! I'm long protocol so have been down regging for two weeks now to switch off my ovaries. Now it's stimming ready for egg collection end of the month. You get used to the needles especially if you do long protocol. Thanks for the luck!
@ImpatientTTCer I'm 35 and had mine Sunday. I was cd3 at the time and today I should be light but noticed a bit of a clot (sorry for tmi) but that could be to do with the ivf injections so I'm non the wiser. I figured I'd have it now as egg collection won't be for another couple of weeks. I'm not sure I'd do the second one should ivf be successful.

AnxiousWannabe · 18/05/2021 09:10

@MgW1 sorry i meant to reply your message. I was thinking about your message - 3 bfps but not progressing but still hopeful. How did you get so strong ?

@ImpatientTTCer I'm getting mine today and I'm on cd2. I also had a blood test today to test my fsh lh thyroid due to the mess up cycle I had. My period is light up till now. I am wondering if I may take the 2nd dose if miraculously I get pregger

MgW1 · 18/05/2021 09:12

@ImpatientTTCer
I have had both my jabs and did not notice an effect with my cycle at all xx

MgW1 · 18/05/2021 09:42

@AnxiousWannabe
Well we have 2 children ( 6&4) so I have just got it into my head that we have either been unlucky or It can be treated. Im under recurrent mc clinic now , got apt with doc on 11th june after blood tests last week so will see what happens 🤞🏻🤞🏻 x

MgW1 · 18/05/2021 09:47

@AnxiousWannabe
If we didnt have kids then I would not be so laid back and positive ! And if we had known we would encounter these problems and heart ache we may have decided not to try. But now that I have been pregnant and 1 mc was at end of first trimester , i cant mentally or physically give up and thrown everything that we can at this. We wouldnt have IVF but I do know that it might never happen but I have to be as positive as I can and keep chilled because I am so grateful for our 2 that we have 🥰

Misty84 · 18/05/2021 10:44

@ImpatientTTCer I had my first jab in March, I was unwell the next day but my cycles were unaffected. Due my 2nd jab on Sat and I will def have it unless miraculously pregnant! (Af due Fri) x

Geriatric1234 · 18/05/2021 12:27

@ImpatientTTCer I had my first jab last month and this cycle was bananas. 24 days. Super heavy. I’m normally 27/28/29 days so v unusual but I did have a very high fever from jab (I had AZ). I have to assume it’s related to vaccine, but nothing feels weird and what I’ve read suggests it gets back to normally pretty swiftly. X

Kitekat81 · 18/05/2021 13:08

@notyetamumbuttrying good luck starting stims today! I thought I was going to be starting stims next week but still waiting to ovulate so no idea when I'll be able to start now, which is not a great feeling. Quite worried as on cd20 now and still no ovulation. Last time I had an anovulatory cycle I started spotting on cd20 and on cd22 I had a 3 day withdrawal bleed, so evidently my lining gave up waiting for me to ovulate. Worried that's going to happen again and who knows when I'll be able to start my treatment 😔

notyetamumbuttrying · 18/05/2021 13:24

@Kitekat81 thank you. I'm good to start tonight! How frustrating of your body. You temping to keep track? Opk's or both?

Marvellouslymadmum · 18/05/2021 15:23

@thislittlebird I've not complained to pals but complained to other places enough times and most times they actually start taking you seriously once you're on the complaints system 🤞🏻 for you, you've definitely done the right thing complaining though

@Teachermummy83 try not to feel disheartened, it may not take as long this time, we all have our down moments, even after three years 🤷🏼‍♀️

@ImpatientTTCer I had my first jab back in March (I'm a carer for my son) and it didn't effect my cycle, having my second one Saturday

@Kitekat81 hope your body gets itself in gear soon!!

thislittlebird · 18/05/2021 15:34

@Misty84 ok, thanks, maybe it’s fairly standard. Either way I guess I’m right to complain if it wasn’t dealt with properly. Hopefully this “case manager” who is going to call me will be like the call you had to find a resolution. A resolution is an appointment with someone who helps us.

I got out of the hairdressers and called Lister. Managed to get through on the phone, the lady I spoke to was very apologetic and said I can email her for anything in future, which is good. So now we’re seeing Mr Ramsay on May 26th and Dr Taylor June 2nd. Maybe we can finally make some progress.

Good luck with stims @notyetamumbuttrying

thislittlebird · 18/05/2021 15:35

@Marvellouslymadmum fingers crossed they do reschedule us then.

@ImpatientTTCer I’ve had both jabs, I had them on cd1 and cd2, didn’t have any issues with periods, I’d get them in at that time of the month if you can.

Marvellouslymadmum · 18/05/2021 17:32

@thislittlebird that's great news about the lister! Hopefully it's all good news from here

@notyetamumbuttrying @AnxiousWannabe @MgW1 @Misty84 @Geriatric1234 @Marvellouslymadmum @thislittlebird

Thank you everyone for your comments! I’ve thought a lot about it today, and think I’ll wait until 12-14dpo, see what the test says, and act accordingly. If my period starts then I guess do the jab ASAP so it has limited effect on my ovulation...and if I’m somehow pregnant, then I’ll probably wait until at least 6-8 weeks, if not longer - I’m so nervous about possible miscarriage I don’t think I’ll want to do anything to confuse/stress my body on top of what it’ll be dealing with already!

Geriatric1234 · 18/05/2021 19:23

@ImpatientTTCer good plan. Just want to stress that most women do NOT see any effects from the jab on their period.

FYI if you become pg they (currently) won’t let you have jab until after 12 weeks so you’ll have plenty of breathing space XX

notyetamumbuttrying · 18/05/2021 19:49

@thislittlebird thank you. Need to go prepare it now. Yay to appointments and decent staff at long last 🎉
@ImpatientTTCer good plan! Defo do it as close to being on as you can. I've still got a sore arm from mine on Sunday but no other side effects so far 🤞🏾

GuessHowMuch · 18/05/2021 19:52

I had my second dose of AZ yesterday at 3DPO. I’ve had a rubbish headache all day today but not nearly as bad as the first dose.
