Hello hope everyone is ok. I am struggling after x4 early miscarriages over the last 2 years. I went for 13 vials of blood yesterday as being investigated now. I have a healthy 9 year old who I am so blessed to have but now am 40 just thinking it may be too late. I so desperately want to give her a sibling but can't keep going through this mental ans physical torture every time it goes wrong.
Anyone else experiencing the same?
Xxx

Babyghirl · 26/06/2021 19:34

@Geyser33
So sorry what your going through I myself have had 4 miscarriages but no live babies yet, nw under the rmc had all the bloods u have had only thing that flagged up was low vitamin d and will get progesterone from next bfp nw waiting to go for an internal us, 💚

kiwi17 · 26/06/2021 20:53

@Geyser33 I'm so sorry for your losses. I have a 3 yr old and had a mc in march and feel sad about not being able to give her a sibling but still hopeful 🤞 sounds good that you are being given lots of tests though. Is that through the NHS? @Babyghirl I just forced DH to watch it with me - that was the weirdest 50 minutes of my life 😂😂😂 can't believe how low the odds are though it's fairly depressing!!

Babyghirl · 26/06/2021 23:38

@kiwi17
It really opens ur eyes at why how low the odd r to fall each month lol it was a weird video to watch but so interesting 💚

treesall · 26/06/2021 23:51

Hello, can I join?

I'm 3dpo on my first cycle trying after my 4th consecutive mc. I have a 3 year old too. I've just started medication under a private RMC specialist and desperately hoping it's 5th time lucky. Really want to give my son a sibling!

Sorry to hear you have been 4 too. Sounds like you're on a good path now through. Really hope you don't mind me asking but did the tests indicate that progesterone was issue or us standard once we get to so many losses? Xx

Hey sorry to hear of you loss. Really think the tests have come as last loss was my 4th and also I am 40 now so odds stacking up against me I think. All done on NHS but haven't seen consultant since I was admitted in April with complications during last mc. Not sure what to expect now not giving ttc a couple of months off x

Hello sorry to hear you have also has so many losses. It's tough going and to have consecutive losses must be even harder hope you're ok? Do you mind me asking what tests and meds they gave you? Fingers crossed 5th time lucky for us both xx
treesall · 27/06/2021 08:21

@Geyser33 thank you. I feel very fortunate to have had my first child so easily, I had no idea it would be so hard to have another.

I had loads of blood tests - all the standard ones plus NK cells. Everything was normal except my killer cells are too overactive, which as I understand it means they stack a pregnancy as soon as it starts. I'm slightly sceptical as everyone who sees this dic seems to get the same diagnosis and he couldn't explain why it's an issue now but wasn't with my first. However; he has a great reputation and apparently an 80% success rate so I'm giving it a go.

Vitamins, aspirin, hydroxychloroquine, and progesterone.

@Annny27
The cramps have nt disappeared on cd21 today so still 7 days to go to af is supposed to be here lol its a really good watch and tells ya how important to have sex is leading up to ovulation 💚

Babyghirl · 27/06/2021 10:06

@Geyser33
The progesterone is stranded I think after 3 miscarriages I just could not get my doc to give me them on my 4th tg bfp it's only a consultant that can give u them, but I did also have my progesterone tested on on my 21 CD day and it was 16.5 so on the low side so hoping it helps me hold on the nxt pregnancy have u been giving it to 💚

Babyghirl · 27/06/2021 11:46

@Annny27
They have disappeared that was meant to be 😂😂😂😂

I had a mmc in Jan (first pregnancy) and took a break from ttc for a bit. I have a thyroid condition which is now under control but wasn’t at time of mmc. I am now under an endocrinologist on the nhs.

I also recently did some private Medichecks tests on day 21 for progesterone, I tested this twice a month apart and both times were on the low side and they couldn’t say whether I had ovulated. I also took a prolactin test which came up as high at 773. Did fsh and Lh tests which were normal. My endocrinologist does not seem too concerned about the prolactin but they are now going to retest progesterone again on day 7, 21 and 28 again on nhs. I’m concerned the prolactin may be impacting ovulation but can’t be sure of this. If I have low progesterone now would it mean I could get prescribed progesterone if I fall pg soon?

It’s also my first time using OPKs, we DTD last Wednesday, Friday night and also this morning, do you think I caught it because I still don’t fully understand the tests? Tested again this morning and it seems to have gone low again? Pic attached. I got pregnant very quick with my mmc and wasn’t tracking them or anything. I’m also going to try fertility acupuncture to regulate my hormones does anyone have experience of this?

MeganChar1 · 27/06/2021 14:44

@Babyghirl so sorry for your losses, I’ve had one mmc and a suspected chemical in May when we weren’t actively trying. I’m just so terrified of having another one, but equally really want to try again it’s so hard x

Babyghirl · 27/06/2021 14:54

@MeganChar1
I have had a cp also the fear of nt trying again over rides the fear of trying again cause nxt time could be my rainbow baby, you will get your rainbow baby just like we all will don't give up 💚

Miscarriage39 · 27/06/2021 17:58

Welcome MeganChar1, treesall & Geyser33. I am sorry you all find yourselves on this journey. I had a MMC detected at my 12 week scan in March, and then lots of irregular bleeding which has made TTC again a bit tricky. I have two children, and like you Geyser33 worry a lot that my age may now be against me.

Babyghirl I’m sorry, I have not watched the video yet as I’ve been feeling pretty hopeless and fear it’ll drag me down further with negativity at the moment. I will watch it once I’m in a better headspace though.

So, the weekend camping went okay. In the end, our friend was running late on Friday so DH and I had time for a quickie before he left. Thanks to that, we didn’t bother yesterday and will dad again this evening. Sorry to disappoint anyone waiting for tales of secretive intimacy in a tent 😆.

Babyghirl · 27/06/2021 18:34

@miscarriage39
There's us all waiting for the tails 😂😂😂😂😂😂 awww sorry your feeling like that but you will get there just taking a little longer this time around 💚 I was cd20 yesterday and omg had cramps like I thought the bitch was going to be here today or last nite but where gone when I woke up would of made me 8dpo god knows what that was 💚

lovelylittlesunflower · 27/06/2021 18:57

Hope everyone is ok. I am still getting positive pregnancy tests after my miscarriage 2 weeks ago, so depressing and confusing. Got EWM and my apps say I'm ovulating but I can't be with positive preg tests.

Good news I brought the Premom easy at home thermometer and downloaded the app, finding it so good to use.

kiwi17 · 27/06/2021 19:27

@Babyghirl oooh fingers crossed for implantation cramps!!🤞 cd19 here and I think 4dpo so nothing to report . @Miscarriage39 ahahaa glad you managed to time it right but I can't say I'm not disappointed 🤣🤣 @lovelylittlesunflower that's frustrating. Are they super positive tests or just faint now? Are they getting fainter? Did you have a scan after the mc to confirm all products gone because I know sometimes the body holds onto bits and I think that could make it stay positive?

Babyghirl · 27/06/2021 19:36

@lovelylittlesunflower
It's awful feeling wanting a nagitive test the told me to test two week after and if still positive to phone the epu so give them a wee ring tomorrow 💚
@kiwi17
Might do a test tomorrow just so If it is I need to start the progesterone straight away if it was that but I doubt it I should get even a faint line tomorrow as it would be 48 hours from the cramps happened lol 💚

lovelylittlesunflower · 27/06/2021 19:46

Hey Kiwi,
I had some tissue left as was seen in my scan, it hopefully is getting fainter. I have no pain or fever so I'm hoping it's just taking a while for my levels to drop as I was 3 months so they must have been quite high.

Thanks Babygirl, yeah it's such a conflict, dreading seeing it positive when you so desperately want to be pregnant 😪 I'll ring the EPU tomorrow.
