@crazycatlady1981 that's very last minute but despite that it would be great if you got to start this cycle, they will get the meds to you and make sure you're all geared up!

I have to wait for CD 21 (next cycle) and I'm only on CD19 of this one... wish I was starting this cycle, waaaaaah!!

Motherofkittens28 · 27/04/2021 14:35

@polejunkie, @crazycatlady1981 all the waiting is just so hard. Im only two weeks from starting now but it still feels like forever and the two months from failed cycle to new cycle has been a flipping eternity!

Just had my nurse planning appointment and she told me that actually our local satellite clinic only operates Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays! My next cycle is due to start on a Saturday/Sun and I need my scan by day three. She wouldn't make me a provisional booking for the Monday after and if they don't have space I'll have another flipping 50min drive to the main clinic for a 10min scan! Grrhhh just wish they could make things easier for you!!!

polejunkie · 27/04/2021 14:41

@Motherofkittens28 the waiting is so hard - fully agree, I can't imagine how long the last couple of months have felt for you - two weeks will come and go, hang in there!

I assumed they all had to make themselves available pretty much everyday because of the accuracy required, must be so frustrating, what's the point of the satellite if they aren't open 5 days (I read some places are open 7 days a week for optimum timing...!) not sure about my satellite, I know they don't do Monday appts, but they still do scans on a Monday. Why wouldn't she book you in?

notyetamumbuttrying · 27/04/2021 15:41

@crazycatlady1981 well done keeping going! As if this whole journey wasn't stressful enough!!
@Crazydoglady123 ah yes, is his party still going ahead? Hope they do confirm tomorrow for you, can plan a bit then.
@Motherofkittens28 how bloody annoying! Sorry mate, here's hoping they have space when the time comes 🤞🏾

Motherofkittens28 · 27/04/2021 16:08

@polejunkie apparently its too complicated to book it and then cancel it. You could set your watch by my cycle so unless I miraculously get pregnant I will need my scan on that day. Oh well, as you say, the time will pass and then I'll deal with it and I'm sure all will be fine. Just feeling a bit moany today!

crazycatlady1981 · 27/04/2021 16:09

@polejunkie I know how you feel, a whole cycle seems like a decade! Im cd13, so I’m either starting in one week or 5 weeks!! Fed up of being in limbo land though! Just want a straight answer one way or another!! We were planning to dtd tonight if we weren’t starting this cycle and now we don’t know what to do!

@Motherofkittens28 bloody hell! Why can’t they just book you in for a scan? That’s ridiculous! 😤
Yes that 2 month wait in between must have been awful!

@Crazydoglady123 that’s good to know yours was last minute too! Somehow you feel like it should all be planned out months in advance and can’t possibly happen at such short notice!

polejunkie · 27/04/2021 16:14

@crazycatlady1981 I’d be dtd I think... you’ll kick yourself if not?! If you don’t start this cycle you’ll be on my timeline - I feel like 5 weeks is a lifetime right now don’t worry, I also feel very tired and moany!
Bloods (again!) tomorrow - I’m sure it’s all progress in one way or another x

Motherofkittens28 · 27/04/2021 16:32

So with all this talk of MFI and OHs making changes etc mine had low morphology but stopped smoking and reduced alcohol and now its towards the low end of normal. However, he has never exercised, he hates it but today he asked me if I can book him to start swimming with me in the mornings! I think he might have been got by the bodysnatchers! To be honest I think it's more to do with the wedding than the baby but I'll take it!

crazycatlady1981 · 27/04/2021 16:53

@Motherofkittens28 that’s brilliant news! Every little helps (even if his incentive is the wedding rather than ivf!)

@polejunkie what bloods are you in for tomorrow?

polejunkie · 27/04/2021 17:02

@crazycatlady1981 it’s me and my partner for bloods in advance of starting IVF, HIV, hep etc I think 🤔 not entirely sure just know they’re standard and you can’t start your cycle without them...

Aimzie · 27/04/2021 19:06

Our clinic called us today, my OH sample had 0 sperm in it from last Thursday 😭 so he has to go back and give another sample, not good! Literally 0 😭

polejunkie · 27/04/2021 19:32

Oh @Aimziethats rubbish! I assume you weren’t expecting that? What does he feel like after that? Happy to do what he needs to do? Lots of love x

crazycatlady1981 · 27/04/2021 20:01

@polejunkie ah yes we had those done too back in March!

@Aimzie Oh no! Was that his first SA?

thislittlebird · 27/04/2021 20:32

@Annny27 mine's not on wellman right now, tempted to get him on it. He's on a few separate supplements and Impryl.

Boxers are swapped already but he doesn't love wearing them to work, food isn't awful anyway but we're working on being more healthy right now, exercise is the one he needs to do.

thislittlebird · 27/04/2021 20:37
@thislittlebird lol I've done that with the tagging before, but that looks great! I'd love to have a milkman, haven't had one since I was a child so might definitely look into that again!

Hopefully pals will get stuff moving for you! I don't gain weight fast, I mean I've gained 1.5 stone in 6 years I just don't want it to take that long to get it back off again 😂
It's easily done!

I'm really pleased with the return to the milkman, moved the fridge shelf height around especially.

I hope they can, they just emailed to say they've passed it on, but I still don't expect much really.

I've gained probably 2.5 stone since I was a teenager and I've never been consistently active. One stone of that has been in the last couple of years post 35 which is annoying. Need to get that down. I'm very stop start, and was worse in my 20s. Although I've always walked around a lot in the day when commuting.

thislittlebird · 27/04/2021 20:38

@polejunkie can't stand those drunk one nighters who get preggers etc. Seems like magic to me Confused

thislittlebird · 27/04/2021 21:21

@clolo that's interesting, but makes sense. Was his count very low? DNA frag worries me too tbh. I'm not sure if I can wait for the NHS who may expect me to hang around another 6 months for ICSI. We started when I was 36 and I'm 38 soon, I can't afford to have wasted rounds as such, if you know what I mean, especially if we have to go private in a few months.

I have good AFC and AMH too, it's where all may hopes are pinned right now!

thislittlebird · 27/04/2021 21:28

@notyetamumbuttrying had my milkman orange juice just now and it was so good! Will be getting one regularly.

I did not go for my run, I'm not good at this so far and cutting down the calories is proving hard. Will try to do some exercise tomorrow, even if it's just some sit ups.

I've replied to all of these messages individually, should have done it in one, oh well ksdfkjs.

@Motherofkittens28 great that he wants to swim with you! Mine keeps threatening to join the gym but it has yet to happen.

@Aimzie oh no, what was it before? That's very frustrating but it does happen and hopefully will be better when he re-does it.

@Aimzie so sorry hun that's rubbish! It wasn't ever that low before was it?
@thislittlebird ooh yummy!! I didn't run either 😂 going into the office tomorrow so hoping that'll motivate to move afterwards. Especially as they're ordering pizzas and they're my vice! Help me 😳🤣
@clolo same, thought we'd be planning no2 by now!

Aimzie · 27/04/2021 22:05

Yeah it kind of shocked me but he always thought there was something off with him, he had a surgery as a child I think on his urethra, so I duno if that might have had something to do with it.. that was his first one, he has to go back this week for another one so hoping it was a one off. 😑 It would really explain my lack of positive tests in 4 years 🙄 one must have slipped through for my cp, lucky me haha He's really good about it, he's going to wait to see the second results but go on hcg or growth hormone if he needs that prescribed, i just always thought it was me 😐 probably both of us, lol I get my results on the 6th, think mine was just amh and prolactin, testerone and fhs 😊

thislittlebird · 27/04/2021 22:31

@Aimzie yeah a very low count will make things hard but one did get through so there’s definitely some lurking in there that can get through! Just not in that sample.

Has he been referred to or booked in with a urologist? Glad he’s good about it, it’s not an easy result to get.

I really am increasingly aware how common MFI is and how little people talk about it/how little awareness there is.

Aimzie · 28/04/2021 08:03

@thislittlebird I know, it sounds bad but I'm actually a little relieved because if it's just that I know they can try medicine or even a biopsy for iui 🙄 i think they said if more than 2 come back as 0 they refer him to urology to see the cause of it, hoping it was a one off but we didn't dtd 6 days before it too which is worrying us a little but atleast we have some answers already. Knowledge is power I guess 😊 his lifestyle is incredibly healthy tho which annoyed us as well, as I don't think there is much more he can change in that area, he doesn't drink or smoke and is a pt, he eats very clean and trains like 6 times a week.
Yeah I felt so sorry for him, usually it's the women it must be tough for men to hear that. He cried and was like will you promise not to leave me, I know how important this is to you 😂 I was like shut up, I want a baby with you, not going to leave you to get one, poor thing

polejunkie · 28/04/2021 08:23

@Aimzie bless him, that’s so cute - stick together and you will get your baby, there’s so much they can do to help you and with that result you definitely won’t be ignored or told to ‘keep trying’ so in that sense it’s a big step forward!

Annny27 · 28/04/2021 09:19

@aimzie sorry lovely! I know what you mean about knowing what the issue is! They can do surgical extraction if that's the case ❤

When i realised it was me i cried and told my husband "i bet you wish you married a woman with a good uterus 😥" and he was like dont be silly I married you for you not the efficiency of your organs 😂😂😂😂
