@Annny27 what sort of ultrasound was it that they noticed on? Good that they did

Crazydoglady123 · 23/04/2021 23:29

@Motherofkittens28 scan is on Monday 😬

Annny27 · 23/04/2021 23:31

@thislittlebird it was a transvaginal ultrasound so they cant confirm endometriosis through an ultrasound but she could see that my ovary is stuck which indicated endometriosis and then I will need a laproscopy to confirm and diagnose (but I also have endo symptoms so it adds up)

@marvellouslymadmum do you get CM changes? I used to do bbt but I was not sleeping because I was so anxious about taking my temperature in the morning haha. So I just go by cm and whether my boobs hurt (they do in tww)

kerrym87 · 24/04/2021 09:26

@Annny27 I get lots of pain around ovulation and worse on left and it turned out that was where endo was! Its not cysts as I have atypical pcos and down have cysts, just lots of follicles. After endo removal its so much better, dtd not painful anymore, its great!

kerrym87 · 24/04/2021 09:29

For anyone with bbt....I work shifts but set alarm every day for same time as I would get up for shift and it works quite well. Apps usually have explanations on whats what for temps

got2be · 24/04/2021 10:14

@Crazydoglady123 thanks for that. @VenusStarr so sorry to hear about your mc, and that your journey has not been an easy one.

i've started looking into IVF but OH does not seam to be on board.
he thinks it will still happen naturally, that we just need to find out why i'm having trouble as we both have children, just not together.

im kind of on board with him as i feel if i do ivf without knowing the problem ill end up back at square 1.

but the immune testing is something i will do and have found a clinic so will have them done soon.

hope you get some success with ivf. i have everything crossed for you x

got2be · 24/04/2021 10:22

@Annny27 I thought OV pain was a good thing and dint realise it was linked to endo.
i normally get very strong OV pain, so bad that if i sneeze the pain is horrendous. and it does give me the feeling of needing to go toilet which weirdly after makes it feel better.

however this month 3 weeks after HSG, I didn't get my normal OV pain that lasts a day but i am getting pain in left which i put down to corpus luteum,
i get this every month till af. but i had a scan and was told i OV from right this month so now i'm totally confused.
and your post now has me thinking?

notyetamumbuttrying · 24/04/2021 11:07

@Marvellouslymadmum argh that's annoying they didn't call, sorry hun. Did you manage to jump him last night?
@Annny27 yeah it's similar to a stitch bit more of a dull ache for me, be interesting to see if I still get it now that endo and scar tissue have been removed! I'm not surprised by that stat @Juno231 is unexplained and she's going for a lap for silent endo. I never even knew it could be silent until she said. Why aren't we told more about this disease!! Makes me so mad 😠
And lol 😂 I reckon if we don't do it today, we'll do it tomorrow. Just started giving him a stroke and he was like, so how you feeling down there, it's not been two weeks yet. I was like nope, two weeks on Tuesday but it feels fine 😏😉 so think it's on!! Will report bk once the deed is done 😂
Argh annoying one with another annoying clinic, sorry mate! Hope you have nice weekend plans to distract you?!
@Theawkwardblonde hope early next week at least?! I bought a thermometer but never took it out it's packet 😂
@kerrym87 so good to hear that sex isn't painful anymore. I'm so excited to try it 😝
@got2be do you get painful periods as well?

OP posts:
got2be · 24/04/2021 11:18

@notyetamumbuttrying yes have always had painful periods that shoot though to thighs but not to the point i'm curled up have always just got on with it thinking it's normal.

i also used to be v heavy with large clots once again thought was normal, use to use two pads. has changed over years prob due to age and every month is different now some light some heavy but always have some sort of pain not enough to medicate but enough to notice is won't go away.

and as @kerrym87 dtd was very painful. this month after hsg is was not but can a hsg get rid of endo if that was the problem?

Annny27 · 24/04/2021 11:43

Me and @notyetsmumbuttrying are gonna encourage you all to go get a laproscopy to diagnose endo haha!

@got2be I would ask your clinic tbh because apparently only mild cramps are normal but I sometimes get it where I am keeled over, hot and feverish and throwing up

@kerrym87 that's so interesting! I am so glad dtd is better for you now ❤

Annny27 · 24/04/2021 11:46

@notyetamumbuttrying are you incisions all healed now or still a bit sore?

notyetamumbuttrying · 24/04/2021 12:05

@got2be painful periods, sex and infertility was enough to get my lap. You need to get a gp to refer you to gynae and go from there. Ideally you need to see a gynae with a specialist interest in endo to do the laparoscopy. I'm on a fb group where you can learn loads more about it all. I'll get the name for you.
@Annny27 sore to the touch but feel ok on the whole. Dh will have to touch me lightly, bit nervous to do it now lol! Stitches won't dissolve for weeks yet.

It's called endometriosis guidance and information resource uk @got2be

got2be · 24/04/2021 12:30

@Annny27 @notyetamumbuttrying thank you for advice and link. it does make sense however i think my gp has had enough of me coming to them with my self diagnosis regarding TTC lol will have to think of a way to approach it. and hopefully they will take me seriously!

i'm not with a clinic as such still with NHS fertility team awaiting an appointment next month, as my consultant has moved me to another who has only 1 clinic a month. so will ask then if no luck with gp.

thinking back now it was mentioned years & years ago, i remember seeing gyne but dont remember why it was just left and never mentioned again.
i will definitely check as remember my gp saying since being at surgery (12yrs) my whole file is gyne related issues, thyroid and 1 cold lol

can i ask were any of you told you had IBS before they diagnosed the ENDO?

polejunkie · 24/04/2021 12:36

@got2be I was told IBS first...

Annny27 · 24/04/2021 12:37

Yes @got2be I have been told ibs!!!! I am wondering whether it is endo related too

Hahaha same my doctor visits are always about my vagina 😂😂😂

@notyetamumbuttrying yeah will have to be a fairly cautious dtd session!

got2be · 24/04/2021 13:00

@Annny27 you have to laugh right lol @polejunkie @notyetamumbuttrying you all have me convinced its ENDO that has prevented TTC and all other issues i've thought eg thyroid/immune system have only come about more recent.

i wish i had the guts to join MN years ago as i've had more promising help from you all in a few days than medical professionals! in over a decade!

i've been trying since 2011 so now diagnosed as SI. in between 2009& 2012 was when i was told i had IBS and when i first saw gyne re ENDO which was never spoken about again.
still have toilet issues to the point dr google has me thinking all sorts.

ff 2021 i'm unexplained and they've obvs never checked my history/symptoms and found the link just keep pushing IVF.

i found this ENDO & IBS are definitely related.

notyetamumbuttrying · 24/04/2021 14:31

@got2be also told ibs. They try and fob you off with that as tbf the symptoms are similar. Now that you have infertility as well, they'll have to take you seriously. They found it in 3 places in my uterus, had 2 adhesions on one ovary and they had to unhitch my bowel from somewhere, think my ovary. Next week I'll ovulate and if I don't catch then, it's ivf. It's been 19 months and I'm 35, and we wanted two when we started out. Be grateful for one!

got2be · 24/04/2021 15:39

@notyetamumbuttrying i'm ready for a war lol i'm actually a little angry as even though i'm not 100% its really looking that way and to think i could have potently be saved from years off ttc battle.
makes me wonder how many others have gone through the same! as someone mentioned its like 30/40% of infertility is down to endo!

that is a lot to of had, so glad they found it when they did.
i've read that a lap is like hsg and brings a lot of success after so fingers crossed you will be one of them x

notyetamumbuttrying · 24/04/2021 16:59

@got2be haha I bet! Yeah it's a scary thought alright.
Thanks hope so too, but my amh isn't great so not sure it'll have same effect for me, hence cracking on with Ivf. X

RobinRose · 24/04/2021 17:38

@polejunkie it's still there, annoyingly.
@VenusStarr thank you, I will be looking at least a 3 month wait!
@MIW01 great news about your FSH!

Out if curiosity...

Who here has endo?
Who here has endo and ibs?

Annny27 · 24/04/2021 17:49

@robinrose I have IBS and suspected endo (not confirmed through surgery yet but I have the symptoms plus my consultant can see that my ovary is stuck/adhered somewhere indicating it)

Motherofkittens28 · 24/04/2021 18:06

@RobinRose I have endo, just removed for the second time! Never been diagnosed with ibs though.

polejunkie · 24/04/2021 18:46

Endo and ibs (but I conceived my daughter easily with endo 5 yrs ago 🤔)

thislittlebird · 24/04/2021 19:07

@Annny27 interesting that they spotted it on that scan, I wouldn’t have realised they could.
